  • 1. How many weeks are you, and how big is baby?
    6+1. Sweet Pea.

    2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
Tired, sore breasts, and nauseous off and on. Nothing too unbearable, though. I’m still really nervous and not letting myself get too excited or attached until my ultrasound when I can see that baby is where its supposed to be and measuring on track.

    3. Any appointment updates?
I have my first ultrasound on May 22.

    4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
I’ve been in a surprisingly good mood lately, other than being a nervous wreck half the time. Before I got pregnant I seemed to always be bitter and angry (infertility sucks when all your friends are getting pregnant so easily). My DH is enjoying the change for sure.

    5. GTKY: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I’d love to go to Scotland or Ireland. No particular reason why, I’ve just always wanted to. I’m from Canada, and the furthest I’ve been away from home is Alaska.
  • @oaklandava My very healthy and happy 7 year old daughter was conceived two weeks after I had my first miscarriage. Obviously that's not what you plan but that doesn't mean it's bad.

    1. How many weeks are you, and how big is baby? EDIT: 6+6 (had it wrong before).

    2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically? Physically my biggest symptom is exhaustion. I’m soooo done after work each day. I let my DD basically play fetch with hersel in the kitchen yesterday with a plastic phone. I would watch her and she would come get me when it got stuck. I’m also bloated, breaking out, super thirsty, and constipated. My nausea is weird. I have at least a few gagging moments each day but overall nausea has been pretty light.

    3. Any appointment updates?
SAW THE BABY AND A STRONG HB! I had my follow up ultrasound Tuesday and LO measured 6+0 with a HB of 128. I’m not thrilled I was measuring 4 days behind given that I had bad numbers last week, but that heartbeat was amazing. Plus my OB did it and wasn’t trying hard to get a good angle. I go back next Wednesday.

    4. Rants/Raves/Questions? I HATE that I’m having another pregnancy with weird numbers. My OB told me during the scan Tuesday that what she saw was ‘much better than I anticipated’. I kind of convinced myself that a 60 hour doubling time for HCG from 2.2k to 3.6k wasn’t that bad. But I mean. She’s the doctor and clearly sees people’s actual numbers all the time and I don’t. So it made me kind of sad that she really thought this was going downhill. I reminded her that DD went from 3500 at 5w0d to 4000 at 5w2d and yet there she was sitting in the room with us. So we’ll see. BUT with DD I never had such a low progesterone draw (but I was on crinone from 10dpo, but that really shouldn’t raise blood levels, so I just don’t know). So many mixed emotions. Too much to think about.

    5. GTKY: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Right now, New Zealand. And only because my H reallllly wants to go there and I know it would make him so happy.

Yes! I have an U/S next Friday. I wanted it in the sixth week but closer to 7 in case my dates are off or I implanted later than I thought. I can survive a week.

  • @KariAnn323 It's AMAZING that you were able to see a fetal pole and HB at 5+4! I would not be concerned about that HB at all considering it almost definitely just started! I know the anxiety of feeling good for a moment but then worrying that as soon as the moment is over things are bad again. I am sorry you are dealing with that!

  • @KariAnn323 That is so beautiful that the HB just started and you got to see it. I am the same - was so comforted to see that amazing HB and now just a few days later it’s hard to believe it will still be going when we look again next week. I don’t know whether or when that anxiety will end. I’m sorry we both have to deal with it.
  • 1. How many weeks are you, and how big is baby?
    4w2, a poppyseed is what I think I read?

    2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
I stopped testing this weekend and I’m feeling like all the sign are looking good so far. I do have a mini freak out every time I get cramps though.

    3. Any appointment updates?
    US scheduled for 7w2

    4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
I had so much nausea last time and I HATED it but in some ways I’m hoping I get some to prove it’s all real. But really though screw nausea. Also RANTS, my H likes the dumbest names. It’s like really man?

    5. GTKY: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I’ve always thought it would be kinda romantic to go stay in a cottage in the Irish countryside and take it slow for a well or two.

  • Today was my due date. I don't know how I'm feeling right now.

  • Shoot @sparkymcgeee, i'm sorry.  Next month is mine.  I always think about how I should have a nursery set up,  feeling my baby kick, delivering in a month. I think it helps knowing I'm pregnant now.  That my dream will still come true, it's just a bit delayed.  I am still sad for the LO that never came though.  I hope you are doing ok today

It definitely didn't hit me as hard as my December due date baby. I think because so far so good in this pregnancy and I was still in the depths of my grief in December but I miss that baby. I should be holding a newborn and I'm not. So I don't know how to process the current feelings I'm feeling.

  • @galactickates yeah. The fear is even when you are feeling the baby move and you are massive is that you will have a cord accident or something. So until I have the baby in my arms I never fully relax. I relax a little bit once I hit certain milestones but complete relaxation doesn't happen.

  • Hey guys! They did a beta draw yesterday to get an idea how far I am since I didn't have a period between loss and pregnant. The number they got was 441. They believed that when I got a positive last Saturday I was around 4 weeks, so they thought that number was good. I am nervous because I know it can vary, but I am also happy with it as it appears strong. Any thoughts on if that's a normal range for a first draw? When I had my first pregnancy they didn't do them. With the loss they were bad, so I am curious as to good numbers?  Thanks guys :)

  • @sparkymcgeee All the hugs on the due date. Those days are so hard. And PGAL anxiety is incredibly unfair and persistent. I actually had a lot more anxiety in the third trimester with DD than the first trimester because I was so afraid of a late term loss and not actually bringing her home after all the time I’d spent carrying her and feeling her move and kick.

That being said, milestones do absolutely help! And I hope as time goes on you’re able to find more comfort than anxiety.

I'm so sorry @sparkymcgeee. Loss dates are so hard. Whatever you feel is completely OK. Grief can be complicated. @oaklandava Looks pretty good to me! For reference, my first beta at 4+1 was 201 and my second beta at 4+3 was 585. Numbers can vary so much though, but it looks like your first beta is a strong one!

  • @sparkymcgeee I’m sorry about about the due date and PGAL anxiety, I know they suck. I imagine the pregnancy hormones right now only make the whole thing more muddled.
@oaklandava I agree that your numbers sound good. Mine were only 51 at 4 weeks and 127 at 4+2. Yours is a great number.
  • @sparkymcgeee  @tosh24 @baileym9126 Thanks guys! This beta land is kind of new to me. They did it with my loss but it was a negative thing so it didn't really matter--they didn't do it from the beginning. You guys have made me feel much better today.

  • *TW-A small back story, I had a blighted ovum and a d&c in January.-end TW

I'm having a hard time believing I'm pregnant. I only have faint positives, and very little symptoms. I'm afraid I'm wanting to be pregnant so bad I'm making this all up in my mind. I can't go to my doctor for another couple weeks to confirm, and I feel like im going crazy.
  • @Duckie678 Hang in there! PGAL is hard. And you still have time for symptoms to develop! Early pregnancy doesn’t typically have a lot. And even as time goes on they can ebb and flow.

  • Thank you! I finally got a clear result this morning. My DH and I are very excited.
  • @Duckie678 Glad you are getting a a clearer result today. I have struggled with not “feeling” pregnant so far as well. We can only take it one day at a time. You are definitely in the right place to get support!
  • 1. How many weeks are you, and how big is baby?
Six weeks. I think the size of a sweet pea?

    2. How are you feeling? Mentally and physically?
Physically ok. A few bouts of nausea but nothing too terrible. Mentally I'm a mess. Without going into all the details, I'm feeling really guilty about my miscarriage two months ago. Basically I had had two healthy pregnancies since the first miscarriage so I didn't ask for any bloodwork last time. This time around I did and my progesterone was borderline low and I can't stop feeling guilty that maybe I could have saved that one.
    3. Any appointment updates?
Nope. Waiting not so patiently for June 5th.
    4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
We got the girls two kittens this weekend and I love how excited and happy they are about it.
    5. GTKY: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I want to go back to England and Scotland. I didn't get to explore Scotland very much the last time and the Outlander series has gotten me so interested in the history there! I spent a semester in England and would just love to go back for a visit.
