@vlagrl29 whoa, clomid sounds awful! I had no idea, somehow I always assumed it was easier on you than injectables, although without good reason.  I have had a few very short cycles (22 days) this past year but I'm almost positive it was because I was on an oral medication for acne (aldactone) that has this type of thing as a very well known side effect. Now I'm off it and keeping fingers crossed but also trying to come to terms with having only one kid and enjoying life with him. There are many upsides to that!!  And I am positive that you are a fantastic mom, so don't let the silly thoughts about not providing a sibling enter your head! Pretty much every study I've read says only kids do as well or better in life than those with siblings... But of course, I get it... I completely get it and I think about the same and I know it's hard to keep cool about it all...  In any case, it's great to hear you like your new therapist - it can be hard to find a good match. I had one years ago who made me feel worse than I already did...I wonder what happened to her career. :D Happy upcoming birthday! (Save us some virtual cake.)

@marijaa333 Honestly, fertility meds affect everyone differently. I have a gf that tried clomid once and got pregnant the 1st try and another gf that's been on it for months and not had really much as for side effects. I find injectables easier on my body with less side effects than pills. Honestly, the worst experience with any pills I've had was birth control that they made me be on before my egg retrieval. So it really varies. Sorry for butting into that convo, but didn't want you to be afraid of trying things. :)

@kristimh80 with all the fertility drugs I've been on, I have to say the worst side effects for me (other than the burning of the Menopur as I injected it - fire!) have been with birth control pills. I can't wait to get off of them - 8 more days and then my week off before AF and then hopefully onto Estrace and charting new territory! :)

@Momifbysea Yes, the Menopur burn!! I think eventually I got use to it, but it wasn't fun either. When around is your FET scheduled for? I'm on Estrace now...1st time I was on it, I loved it. This time has been "eh"..at first it made me moody starting it, but it's getting better. Just a bloated mess now thanks to it. But that seems par for the course with most of this stuff. :)

I have no idea when FET will be @kristimh80 since this is my first rodeo at a transfer. But I was thinking based on a mocked up dummy schedule with blanks for dates that it might be first week in July? Not sure though until I will call the clinic on CD1 and then get my calendar and know for sure. I'm ready to get excited but hard to do being on BCP, ya know?

@Momifbysea Oh good! Hopefully it's in July so you can join me and @ ndz2018 on the July FET board :)

@kristimh80 Thanks!! Good to know! I don't think I can actually take BCP ever again - I had a clot in my 20s. I guess that means no IVF for me.

@marijaa333 No worries girl! Not everyone has to take birth control for IVF. Many don't take anything to prep for IVF. A lot of times the doctors put people on birth control to either control the schedule of IVF cycle...most really don't need it.
