My son's name is Samuel Ryan and he goes by Sam.  Deciding on his sister's name is proving to be difficult.  For some reason girls names are more difficult to pick.  I knew my son's name instantly.  My daughter's is a different story.  I absolutely love the name Ella, but Sam and Ella does not work at all.

Kathryn nn Kate (before you jump on the spelling, she would be named for her Grandmother, and that's how she spells it)

Any suggestions are appreciated, along with thoughts on middle names.  Last name rhymes with angels.

I hear why you don’t like Sam and Ella. If you say the names together really fast it sounds like “samonella”.

Perhaps you can use it as a middle name and if she likes it, she can always go by her middle name. Or use a similar name like Ellison, Ellis, Elyse, Elsa (or is that too Frozen-esque?)

@purplewriter-2 Exactly, I can't hear Sam and Ella without hearing Salmonella.   If that wasn't an issue, I love Ella Kathryn.
