I have my sneak peek clinical blood test scheduled tomorrow and paid for the fast track! Crossing everything to know by Wednesday evening! (Not sure that this counts)
Have my first appt tomorrow! Excited, and slightly nervous, and the whole thing is a bit bittersweet. Tomorrow would be my youngest son's first birthday as well. Once I see that heartbeat, I hope I will feel much more at ease and some of the anxiousness will subside.
Second OB appointment today, I'm about 99% sure she's going to refer me to the high risk OB and put me on medication for my fasting glucose number. So that totally sucks...but, I've accepted that it's going to happen. I'm also planning to make an appointment with the same high risk OB for an NT scan, mostly so I can meet him now incase I don't have to see him yet, because my OB is pretty confident that I'll have to see him at some point in this pregnancy. DH isn't going to this appointment, so I'm really just hoping there's no unexpected bad news...
I have my first OB appointment (including ultrasound) this afternoon. I've already had two appointments/ultrasounds with my fertility doctor but this will be my first normal appointment.

First appointment is tomorrow! Felt like it took forever to get here! Lol. I'm excited and nervous. I don't think they will be doing an US, but I believe they will be listening at the heartbeat (which I know that will make me feel so much better! I hate my irrational fears.. ). Also happy to be getting close to be in the second trimester!
I have an u/s scheduled for Thursday. We will do the testing for down syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. Excited to see my little nugget again.
Thanks @maureenmce. I'm not thrilled about it, but it's really mostly because of being on medication for the blood glucose, which my OB did prescribe a pill. Luckily she was happy with my after meal numbers even though I've had a few high readings (due to experimentation), so the pill is only for my fasting number, which means I only take it once a day! The high risk OBs office is supposed to call me sometime to set up an appointment, but I'm hoping his care is more precautionary at this point, which it sounds like it is.
My OB saw me for a quick 3-5 minutes before being called out for an emergency delivery, so not much happened. She did do a quick ultrasound though. Saw the heart beating (didn't hear it or get a #) and little one was bouncing around! Still looked like a blob, not quite Baby-like, at least not on that machine, it's crappy compared to what the US techs use.
I have my regular monthly appt on Friday & they will draw blood for the Panorama screen. Then hopefully 1 week til I know the sex! I really hope to hear the heartbeat on a doppler and/or be scheduled for a ultrasound soon.
I have another OB appointment on Thursday. I'm only 8+3 and this will be my fourth appointment/third ultrasound. I'm not high-risk and am a FTM but my OB continues to want to check in. Luckily, everything is covered by insurance here in Germany, but I'm slightly nervous about the number of ultrasounds! Obviously my OB isn't concerned about this and I love the reassurance of seeing baby, but it just seems like A LOT compared to in the US.
I have my second US appointment this Thursday for the NT scan. I am very excited but a little nervous. I think I will breathe a little easier once I get over that psychological hurdle of the first trimester (almost there!).
Also, my most recent blood results should be coming any day now. They re-tested TSH, so I'm curious if I'm ok or if I need to be on medication. I have never been "on medication" ever..
@deutschmama it varies here in the US honestly. With my MW when I was pregnant with DS I had one scan. So far I've had a dating scan and just a quick check in today, I'm 9w5d. If my OB didn't have to rush out I was going to ask how often she plans to do USs because I'd like it to not be every appointment unless absolutely necessary. If you don't want to have so many maybe say something and see if they can just use a Doppler to check the heart instead? If you're not having any issues then there should be no reason to have an US at every appointment.
I had my first appointment this morning (should be about 10 weeks tomorrow). They did a pap and pelvic exam. No ultrasound until Thursday though. I also had 10 tubes of blood taken. She tried to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler but couldn't find it. She made me promise beforehand if she couldn't then I couldn't panic. I should have told her not to, but now I'm worried. It's going to be a long few days.
Tomorrow I’ll be 9w6d and I think we’ll take another peek for dating (last ultrasound at 6w6d showed a gestational age of either 6-2 or 6-3). I’m nervous because 9w was a bad day last time and PGAL brain is no joke.
DH is going with me this time, so I hope we get a good ultrasound! I’m sure we will, because of 1) I’ve already heard the heartbeat, and 2) I sure do feel like crap. FX!

@CecilB93, Thank you! Being a FTM I wasn't sure how often is normal. I do still want to hear the heartbeat- it eases my anxiety- so the Doppler with no US may be what I'll ask for on Thursday.
Well the high risk OBs office just called, so I have another appointment tomorrow to meet him and go over the Diabetes and everything that goes along with that I imagine. So now I'm all nervous again for tomorrow's appointment and meeting this OB for the first time. Geez, I feel like I'm in 3rd tri already with how many appointments I've had...
@CecilB93 I hope your appointment tomorrow goes well, FX!

I had my second ultrasound with the RE today at 8w4d. Baby is measuring 9 weeks already so I guess that's good? We are absolutely certain of the date of conception since we did IVF with FET so the Dr said the due date won't ever change no matter how far along he measures.
Turns out I have an appointment today after all! Called my doctor to ask about cramps I've been having, assuming she'd say no big deal, and she said to come in for an ultrasound just to make sure all is well since I have a history of loss, so uh, guess I'm going in right now! And now I'm nervous!
@abowls I am in an almost identical situation. We also did FET and when we went in for a week 7 scan, the baby was measuring a full 3 days ahead! RE told us the same thing - due date won't change. When we went back for week 10, baby was only 2 days ahead. So maybe things fluctuate?

@maureenmce FX for a good ultrasound! It sounds like your dr is just being cautious considering your history, so hopefully you'll just get in and get to see a beautiful picture of baby!!
Update: all is well with baby! Thank god. My blood pressure is high though and they don't know what's causing the cramping, so they encouraged me to rest, hydrate, try to reduce stress and my work hours, so I'm thinking of leaving this job a week early and taking next week off before starting my new one. But I am just so relieved baby is good! Wiggling around and measuring exactly on track! Phew! Thanks so much for the support and good thoughts!!
@maureenmce That's fantastic! Also, I would totally jump ship early and rest for a week before the new job. I'm a huge advocate for getting out of stressful situations and you totally qualify. Congrats BTW on the new job and wiggly baby

Had a good appointment! DH got to hear the heartbeat (172 via Doppler), and we talked a little about my daily intake of prenatal vitamins + B6 + antihistamines. Everything checked out just fine.
I scheduled my NIPT blood draw next week, and my final visit next month. Kind of sad to leave their practice, but excited to begin the next chapter.
PS, my PGAL brain is calming down because we finally passed my milestone! Tomorrow is week 10 and officially the most pregnant I’ve ever been

Appointment went good today. Got to hear the heartbeat, which the doctor said sounded great. It really was the best sound you can hear! So happy and relieved.
Had a great 8 week appointment with my RE today. Baby measuring on track and a heartbeat of 158. It’s so crazy how much it’s grown in a week!! We have one more appointment with the RE and then we gradute to our OB. So crazy!
@mag1cbeli3ver, it kind of makes me wonder how accurate it is when they use it to determine due date but I guess it doesn't really matter, right? You're going to go when your body decides anyway.

@CecilB93 Ugh, sorry you're likely going to be referred to a high risk OB, but hopefully no more bad news and I hope the high risk OB is awesome.
@asun123 Good luck with your first normal OB appointment!
