    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    19 weeks! Mango!

    2. How are you feeling?

Anxious about the anatomy scan. Sometimes I look at my bump and think, yes it’s growing, I look pregnant. Other times I’m not sure and I get freaked out.

    3. Any appointments this week?

    Not till next week!

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

Still having sleep issues. But the pillow between the legs is helping.

    5. GTKY: what are you most looking forward to doing with this baby

Eventually hiking with a little baby on my back. Reading to them, taking them to the country, introducing them to everyone I love, introducing them to foods! All the firsts!

  • @rc-cola have you looked at hiking friendly baby carriers yet? That’s on my list, too, but I’ve not gotten there

@halfanewt my friend has the Osprey Poco which she really loves. Really good hip support and it stands on its own.  I’m looking at that right now since I also love Osprey for general backpacking packs.

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    19 weeks, mango!

    2. How are you feeling?

Amazing actually!! Cleaned out my car minusthe trunk in case of another freak snow storm (you never know) cleaned out the freezer and tossed a lot, and it's beautiful out so I feel great! I forget I'm pregnant most of the time!

    3. Any appointments this week?

Appointment on Tuesday that I'm looking forward to because I can make the anatomy scan appt soon after and I'm so eager yo find out!

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

Rant: still can feel baby at all so I'm just jealous of those that can so much earlier than me...

    5. GTKY: what are you most looking forward to doing with this baby

Everything. Literally so many things I want to do, all the holidays, pictures, hikes in the summer, going on the boat, visiting family, taking fun trips, reading, teaching this little bear everything I possibly can. I'm so excited to be a mom!

    1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

17 weeks, size of a large fry :D

    2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good for the most part! I vomited once but other than that pretty good.

    3. Any appointments this week?

I had one today, got to hear the heart beat but not US today.  I scheduled my anatomy scan for 3 weeks so I cant wait to see baby boy and make sure he is growing well.

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

sleeping has been rough, I think I need to invest in a pregnancy pillow.

    5. GTKY: what are you most looking forward to doing with this baby

So excited to see baby boy and DD together.  Today she said she wants to hold him and hug him and I told her we still have several months so she settled for hugging my belly.  She loves him already and it just melts my heart <3 and now I am crying at work lol

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

    19 weeks - A classic gameboy.

    2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good, especially for eating weird food and sleeping in strange beds for the last five days.  Just a bit of heart burn, which I sincerely hope will go away when I am back to my regular routine.

    3. Any appointments this week?

Nothing until the Anatomy Scan at the end of next week.  I can’t wait for it, but am anxious that I might inadvertently learn baby’s sex - which seems like a really weird thing to be anxious about.

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

Mostly just an observation- I’m glad I have gotten into a water consumption routine before starting to travel.  It has been a lot easier to track consumption and plan for locating water and restrooms with drinking already a habit.

    5. GTKY: what are you most looking forward to doing with this baby

Like a couple other ladies have observed, while I plan to enjoy the baby stage as much as possible, I am most looking forward to the things we’ll do when Blast is a bit older and able to appreciate zoo trips, hiking, picnics, etc.

  • @jynjer91 Where do you get papaya enzymes?  I’ve been taking tums occasionally (& been told rolaids are not pregnancy safe), but I would rather not take them. I’m a medicine avoider, mostly because I seem to be sensitive to them, which makes sense as clinical trials and dosing are often based on men and I’m a petite woman.  Taking too many Tums can apparently lead to kidney stones.

@purplegoldfish2 Mine are just the spring valley brand from Walmart and they work fine but when I run out I’ll probably order some that are a little higher quality. Haven’t done much research on which are best.
  • @purplegoldfish2 - If you are dealing with constipation, Tums are also a bad choice.
  • @knottieamusements Good to know!  Some days are worse than others, but I’ve been better lately.  I also don’t need the Tums every night, but would still prefer to not take them at all.

I lived on tums last pregnancy and this time I am needing them again but so far not as much.  I will definitely look into the papaya enzyme.  Is it a pill? @jynjer91 I am terrible at taking pills but may be able to get it down if it will help this heartburn.

@drb2424 No they’re chewable! They taste pretty much like a chalky papaya. I like them better than tums/rolaids by far!

@jynjer91 When are you getting heartburn?  I found papaya enzyme and the bottle said to ask before taking if you were pregnant so I talked to the pharmacist.  She said it was fine to take and that the enzyme helps with heartburn by helping you to digest food faster.  My heartburn is almost always middle of the night from lying down for so long.  Do you get heartburn then and if so, does it help that? I didn’t end up buying it because I wasn’t sure if it would help with my situation (although it wasn’t that much so I probably could just try it). I wanted to see if you’ve used it for that first.

    edit to clarify

@purplegoldfish2 I get it when I go too long without eating, after I eat, when I’m laying down...it sometimes wakes me up at night and the papaya does help then too! I do usually eat something when I wake up though so that may help a bit also.
  • @jynjer91 great! I’m going to pick some up when I go shopping!  Thank you!!
