Selfishly started this so I could complain that hip pain while sleeping has started ALREADY. I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and I didn't have that until third trimester last time! I also was wide awake starting at 5 am, which is another thing that didn't start until third tri last time WTF?
@maureenmce The third trimester sounds like even more fun than the first... sorry you are having some of those symptoms already! Maybe it's because it's your second baby?
I've been feeling a bit less sick over the last week and I actually slept reasonably well last night without any meds! I don't have much of an appetite most of the time, but my ob said eating more might help me feel better so I've been trying to do it. I never thought I would have trouble eating more but I often can't manage much. I haven't had any new symptoms that I've noticed. Is it too early to feel the baby? Sometimes I think I can feel it (not moving or anything, just there). I'm 9.5 weeks so baby should be over an inch by now.
The bloat is so bad, you guys. I've been eating like shit and I know it's not helping. Kind of hoping that cleaning up my diet this week will help a little, but damn. Every day it's a miracle when I can button my pants.
@AdorkablePixie Yeah, pillow between the legs is all that helps! I'm wondering if I'll need to get one of those pregnancy body pillow things this time. I skipped it last time around.
@kadeephd Yeah, I'm assuming things just happen faster with subsequent pregnancies, but I didn't expect hip pain *this* fast! And as far as 1st tri vs 3rd, I still prefer 3rd, even though you're super uncomfortable, because at least you're not nauseous! I have such a hard time being happy or productive when nauseous, but I can when I'm just uncomfortable (usually.)
I threw up for the first time yesterday, so that was pleasant. My fault for going to Target with no snacks. I’ll be 7 weeks on Wednesday, and I’ve noticed that the minor cramping I’ve had since my BFP has seemed to disappear. Still have boob pain, tiredness, and obviously nausea. Normal?
@kadeephd I went med free last night too (i think we were contemplating this last week?). So far, not too bad. I think i'm gonna try again tomorrow and see if it was just a buildup in my system or if i'm actually feeling better.
I'm super sick today. Nauseous plus migraine plus I'm smothered with a head cold. And my co-worker is off work meaning I can't go home. Throwing a pity-party for one.
lol thanks @kristah2.. i am at a manageable level now, definitely. I am 8w4d and i have heard sometimes symptoms can start to get better about now, so i thought i'd see what was going on. But believe me at the first sign of any MS junk i am back to the drugs! Sorry your day is rough, hope you get to feeling better!
Exhaustion is still ruling the day. I feel like I can't get anything done and just keep falling farther and farther behind. And can I just say (sorry for the TMI) but constipation cramps are the real deal and they suck! Boo for poop cramps!

Still a little invisible nausea, no actual vomiting. The toughest thing is still the sleep disruption; I'm constantly exhausted, but I keep waking up in the middle of the night and having trouble getting back to sleep, and when I am asleep my dreams are super vivid. I've started to lose a little weight (I'm actually down from my pre-pregnancy number), which is making me a bit nervous. Granted, I've amped up the activity a bit (nothing strenuous, just trying to move more) and I've had zero appetite, and the bloat has subsided some, but after gaining so steadily and getting SO big last pregnancy, this just feels like too much of a deviation for my personal comfort level. On top of it, my brain woke up this morning utterly convinced that something is wrong; I have no reason to think that, and the smart bet is that it's just pregnancy brain, but it's unnerving all the same.
@kristah2 Oh no! I hate migraines. I hope you feel better soon.
@maureenmce I didn't need a body pillow last time, but a friend was nice and gave me the one she used when she was pregnant so I kept it incase I ever needed it again. I've heard they work wonders!

@katem987 what you are describing sounds normal. @AGK2015 I lost weight with ds1 &2’s pregnancies - because I couldn’t stop vomiting. This time I’ve just lost a couple lbs. My symptoms this week - I tried to stop unisom/b6 last week because I was feeling so fatigued. So then I started vomiting a lot, so I am back on them. So now mild nausea, gas pains, & some headaches. And absent mindedness. Also I don’t eat meat now- but I will in chili??? I hoping that my energy picks up soon. I miss my energy.
Getting tired of all the bloody noses. I know it’s normal with the blood volume increase, but dang! I only had like 2 bloody noses total my entire pregnancy with my son. This time... I’m getting the all the time. Middle of the night, first thing in the morning.
@maureenmce awww hip pain sucks! I’m starting to get it when sleeping too. Definitely get a pregnancy pillow... I recommend the snoogle. It’s a lifesaver! I lost my last one because we have moved sooo many times after after my son, but I’ll be ordering a new one very soon!
@AGK2015 I was working out pretty hard when I got pregnant with DS and lost at least 5 lbs, this time around it's been mostly due to nausea and this stupid "smaller meals" GD diet. The nurse already bitched at me for being down about 3 lbs from my last appointment 2 weeks prior...seriously lady?? I've got weight to lose and I'm not dropping a ton, I think my body can manage 3-5 lbs...
Nausea sucks. And I can't eat carbs so crackers and hard candy are generally out...I'm also hungry, but don't want anything. And super tired. I really wish I could just go home for the day but my boss is gone and I'm too nice to leave my other coworker in my department alone
@CecilB93 I can’t belive your nurse made a big deal over 3lbs. Don’t people usually fluctuate ~5lbs due to water weight? I’ve never thought much of it if I’m +/-5 off what I thought my weight was. Maybe that’s because I don’t own a scale at home, so I don’t weigh myself often.
Symptoms for me are still not much. Mostly I’m just really tired, and I’m having trouble drinking coffee, which makes me more tired. Sometimes when I haven’t eaten for a while my stomach sort of feels weird/a bit nauseous, but then it goes away. My boobs are a sore every time I move, like tossing & turning in bed & getting up out of bed. Might be time to sleep with a sports bra on. Luckily, no real nausea yet, but I’m not 7 weeks in yet, so that might still come.
Edit- i mean “nurse”, not “doctor” above. Fixed that.
@AGK2015 I'm sorry you're feeling anxious that something's wrong, but I definitely wouldn't worry about losing weight in the first trimester. I'm down 2 pounds due to nausea and when I was pregnant with my daughter I lost at least 5 pounds in the first tri (don't worry, I gained it all back and then some, haha.) Hope you feel less anxious (and that you can sleep better!) soon!
@borgie05 Yes, the snoogle is what everyone recommends. I'm going to cave and get one this time. I don't know why I felt the need to tough it out with my first pregnancy, but I do not have that urge this time, lol.
Ugh 8 weeks and 5 days and still super nauseous, can't sleep through the night, exhausted, and constipated. I told me husband yesterday that I feel so guilty for hating being pregnant so far, but these first trimester symptoms are literally the worst
@laurench912 first trimester is hard. I constantly feel like I never want to do this again. I'm miserable. I'm literally counting down the days until second tri and hoping to leave the symptoms behind!
@maureenmce YES invest in a snoogle like yesterday!! I'm breaking mine out soon and I'm SO excited!
I have awful nausea today that started about an hour ago after I had some soup and salad. Now my headache is starting up and I can barely keep my eyes open I’m so tired. To make matters even better, I have to work until 6:30 tonight making it an 11 hour day
My nausea / morning sickness came back with a vengeance this week. I'm thankful that I don't actually throw up much (once a day at most), mostly gagging (lol sorry if this is a little TMI). I'm so tired / unmotivated and I think my moodiness stems from that this week. I also wake up to pee now in the night so I am enjoying feeling like a Grandma while becoming a Mom. I'm hoping to get a Snoggle as some others have discussed to help with hip / back pain (I don't know if that's a pregnancy thing or a me thing tho).

@tumbleweed-1 The only coffee I can stomach is a coffee frappuccino from Sbux. I hadn't had one in years and all of a sudden, I thought it it. I had one Saturday and Sunday, but refrained today!
Symptoms this week are super manageable. My saviors have been: 25mg B6 tablets, topical magnesium spray, and Preggie Pop Drops Plus (hard sweet/sour candies with 10mg B6). I've been taking 25mg B6 before bed and I wake up feeling generally awesome. The Preggie pop drops keep me afloat during the day, usually taking one around lunch, another after dinner. Now that the invisible nausea is at bay, I feel better not drinking carbonated drinks.
The MS magnesium spray is easing the constipation -not up to daily poops, but every other day is good enough for me. My appetite has been all over the place, usually I am only hungry for 10 seconds, then the urge to eat disappears for another hour. No nose bleeds, but I do blow out some bloody boogers each morning.
I wish I was Oprah and could give everyone here a pair of my favorite gauzy smocked-waist pants. I slowly removed button-having pants from my summer wardrobe...but not sure how long I can fit into them.
...trouble drinking coffee...Might be time to sleep with a sports bra on.
I miss liking coffee, DH made a pot yesterday and I almost couldn't handle smelling it. And the boobs? Yeah. This morning I swung my legs out of bed, and when I sat up I felt the weight of a thousand suns on my chest. All I could say to DH was "gravity...is real" whilst using the ol' hand bra on the way to the bathroom. #classy

10 weeks tomorrow and I do feel like my nausea is improving a bit. I still get it if I don't eat enough/often, but I've been able to only have 2-3 bouts of it a day until nighttime (nighttime is still terrible, starting at like, 7:30.) Anyway, grateful to be feeling at least on somewhat of a more bearable trajectory. Hoping this pattern continues (and that everything is still fine and growing and progressing correctly with this baby! I am so sick of feeling scared whenever I don't feel terrible, but I'll just have to accept that for now, I guess.)
The bloat is insane. I’m 8 weeks 4 days and I look like I’m 20 weeks. I haven’t been eating excessively more than normal but I’ve gained 8 pounds and I feel so gross.
Oh and I forgot about the belching. Every time I’m pregnant, one of the earlier times and most obnoxious signs is that I burp often and loudly. From like 6 weeks til the end. I can’t stop it and it drives my husband insane.
So so nauseous. How are you second time (or plus) Mama's dealing with first tri plus taking care of kids? All I can manage is to turn on a movie for DS while I lay on the couch. I don't even want to think about making dinner
@missamber23@katem987 I'm with you both, from both ends. But I wonder if it's why I haven't yet actually been super nauseous because every time I burp I feel better with regards to food aversions/nausea and every time I fart my cramps go away.
@rawarr my standards are a lot lower than usual. My kids had frozen pizza for the first time last week (part craving part laziness). And thank god for the weather because most of the time it’s been “go play outside” and they’re happy enough to comply.
@rawarr I rallied and took ds to six flags yesterday. It was really hot today, so I filled up his kiddie pool this afternoon. I have felt less nauseated that normal, so I'm running with it! I hope it lasts. When I hit the 10 week mark with ds, I started feeling better. I was 10 weeks yesterday, so here's to hoping!

The “bloat” is bad. My midwife told me that the uterus is grow up, which pushes all the other organs, creating the bloat.
