My phone decided to do a software update last night, which meant my alarm didn't go off because it wants you to log in so you can see all of the "app optimization" it's doing. Seriously?
I did something weird to my low back yesterday, and now I can barely move. It started yesterday afternoon, and by today I'm pretty much bed/couch bound. There is no way I can commute to work like this. I am going to go to urgent care when they open, but I don't know if they'll be able to do anything for me. Thank God my husband is going to take the day off and stay home with me. Wtf body!
@echo-charlietango I really have to laugh at someone who is ballsy enough to steal a freaking riding lawn mower off someone’s front lawn. WTH! People are so crazy.
@ab_canada Wow. I think that’s something that would throw me over the deep end and I’d be complaining on their social media or something. They gotta change that!
My kid just spilled my expensive goat cheese all over the floor. My dog doesn’t want to eat it and now I need to figure out how to clean it up without smearing it all over the place.

I have another one. I tried contacting someone for work who never responded, so I sent out a forced appointment letter. When I first got to her house she acted like she had no idea who I was and had never gotten any of my letters. She did admit she had just them and just "hadn't gotten around to responding." She didn't bother getting anything together that I needed to we rescheduled for today and she was supposed to come to my office. Our rescheduling gave her three additional weeks to get the information. I got to work this morning to an e-mail she sent Friday after I had gotten off asking to reschedule to the end of the month. Uhh.. NO! I e-mailed her back and told her no AND called just incase. No response on either and it's now after 10, she is over an hour late. I'm not just going to go away, that is NOT how this works!!

It’s a very long story but my parents went through a really ugly divorce about 10 years ago and they have recently been back in court over their taxes. My mom and my sister HATE my dad and threw a huge fit that I invited him to DS’s birthday party in March and they have barely spoken to me since. I have asked multiple times if my sister wanted me to go to her graduation and never got a straight answer, so after my spotting scare last week and orders to take it easy, I decided to skip the 2 hours in the car, parking nightmare, possible argument, and 3 hour ceremony where they were not even announcing her name. Now apparently I am the worst sister and daughter ever according to my mom. They seem to be forgetting that none of them came to my undergrad graduation or my wedding because my dad was there. I’m just so tired of the drama and I know the stress isn’t good for the baby.
I don't know if this is a bitchfest since it's my own mistake, but I just realized I've been using chemical sunscreen on my face for the last four weeks. Once I found out I was pregnant I switched to what I thought was a natural, physical sunscreen made by alba. I should have checked the ingredients, but I didn't. I ordered a new zinc oxide based one by thinkbaby and started using it today. I'm upset that I wasn't more careful and trying not to be paranoid about it. Ugh why is so much stuff unsafe during pregnancy! Maybe we should just not make stuff like that anyway! I'm basically no longer using any personal hygiene products other than handmade soap and Tom's toothpaste because there is so much unsafe crap in everything.
@echo-charlietango I cant believe someone tried to steal your lawnmower. That is so odd. @katy0990 I’m sorry about the position your family has put you in. I’m having some stresses just from my mom’s behavior towards me (finding out I’m pregnant), which is nothing to compare to your situation - just saying the added stress is totally unnecessary from your family. I’m sorry you are dealing with it.
@AdorkablePixie Yeah, I was actually just talking to my husband and we decided to check with my OB first and see if she is cool with me going to my chiropractor. Tylenol and my heat pad just aren't cutting it
@katy0990 I'm sorry you're dealing with family drama. You made the right choice by putting your physical and mental health first. I hope this blows over quickly for you.
H was sick all weekend, and ALL WEEKEND was moaning and groaning so dramatically. Meanwhile I’ve got all of your 1st tri symptoms (including vomiting) and I’m still doing laundry and other stuff.
I need another weekend. I’m not ready for Monday- can Monday please wait to happen until I feel better after this first trimester. I love my job and I don’t feel like I’ve been giving it my all just recently, which then makes me feel guilty.
My husband bought scented garbage bags, even though every pregnancy I tell him they make me want to puke. He completely forgot and apologized but now if I go into the kitchen or bathroom I gag. Bleh.
@kadeephd For what it’s worth, I asked my ob if there were any skin things or other hygiene products I should not be using during my last pregnancy. She really was not concerned about anything at all. I understand wanting to be cautious, but I’m sure a couple of weeks of use will not be harmful. Try not to drive yourself crazy! It’s gonna be a long 9 months, and we’re all gonna “mess up.”
I have a couple! At work my job is to focus on sales, customer serves, accomplish makeup and skin care appointments, meet goals, and host events. NOTHING ELSE! But yet i still help out with multipule things outside of my job description but somehow everyone is so worried about what im doing and say I dont do anything but walk around. So, I want to do only what my job descripon saying instead of going beyond just so the could see how “little” i do. I doubt they are going to like it when they have to help me for once and dont have me to talk some of their work off them!
2nd my boyfriend is being lazy af. My daughter and I are moving into his 2flat at the end of may and he hasnt done anything to prepair for us. Ive offerd to help him but he just gets snotty with me and says no. He has to fix our shower, change the lock to the front door, move his parents stuff they have stored into their apt or the attic, move his stuff to the other room, paint his old room, and then we have to go shopping a new bed, kitchen table and a bunch of other stuff since he basically just slept there. He tells me im always in a hurry and rushing him. Hes slow af ughh and then he wonders why i call him a sloth. He likes to wait till last minute for everything!!! I honesly feel its better to start on big projects earily so u could make sure everything is done properly!
We have a food delivery service at our office and they are delivering Corner Bakery today. I was going to order, but for some reason they don't have a full menu and the salad that I want, Asian chicken, isn't available. So. Annoying. I ended up ordering Panera Delivery and got the spicy thai chicken salad. I hope it.s good.
@kadeephd i seriously spent like 20 mins in the sunscreen aisle trying to figure out wtf kind i could and couldn't get. I went with the thinkbaby too but geez- its so expensive!
@Hollyyyyy I actually started seeing my chiropractor a little over a month before DS was born because I hurt my back running and could barely walk. He worked miracles. It took maybe three weeks before my back was completely better, but it helped so much.
@faith0222 That's frustrating about the job thing. Did your BF ask you to move in? From the way he's acting it seems like he doesn't want you to. Or maybe he's just super lazy and useless, like most guys can be a lot of the time. I feel like I have to constantly bug my DH to do stuff. I've been asking him for a week now to mow the lawn (our lawnmower is broke), it looks like a jungle out there!

SO’s dad. He is always condescending. I don’t think he realizes it. He’s just a Mr. I-know-everything kind of guy, and he tells me things I already know, as if I should be thankful for his information. It’s been going on for years- SO has pulled him aside privately before to explain how he comes across, specifically to me. Because I end up looking like the bitch because he’s so clueless. It’s gotten better, but ugh.
Yesterday he was over, and pointed out that we didn’t get a coffee table (like we talked about doing). I started to say “we really just need a spot to put our drinks, so the end tables work fine” while gesturing to the end table. He interrupts me at the word “drinks” to laugh and tell me that I was pointing to an end table, not a coffee table. *eyeroll*
I have a coworker who sits right in front of me, and she feels the need to announce every time she's hot or cold. "Well I took my jacket off 10 minutes ago because I was hot, and now I'm freezing again!" Ugh, I get it, you don't have to discuss the building being constantly hot and cold!! Yes, walking up the stairs is going to warm you up, or alternatively sitting in one spot like we do all day is going to eventually be cold with the AC running. I don't need to know every time your temperature changes.
@kadeephd
OMG I´ve just realized neither of the sunscreen brands I use
are physical! I´m buying some new today, and I hope I have not damaged the baby
with all the chemicals. Here in Brazil (where I live) it is even harder to
figure out ingredients and stuff as there are no strong label policies
@kadeephd A similar thing happened to me. I burn super easy so I’m super careful to always wear sunscreen, and I only just found out that chemical sunscreens are potentially not pregnancy safe. I’m a FTM and the packet of information the doctor sent with all the stuff to avoid during pregnancy didn’t say anything about sunscreen.
Anyways I’m on vacation and all the sunscreen I packed was chemical so I ran out to the store to buy some mineral but they didn’t have any brands I was familiar with so I just picked one that seemed to get ok reviews. But when I used it I got sunburned after only 45 minutes outside, mostly in the shade So now I’m debating going all the way back out to the store to buy a different brand or just staying inside for the last couple days of our vacation.
My sons, 5 & 2, have soccer practice tonight but I just really don't want to go. I skipped it last week though. I so don't want to be at the park for 2 hours.

@Gwyneddlesliegrace can the washer be fixed? Or do you need a new one? I hope it gets fixed soon. I was in a family of 7 growing up, and a couple times our washer or dryer would break and we’d have to drive into town and spend hours at the laundromat. Character building, I guess. Not very fun.
Ok, so I know I can google this, but if no one minds just telling me, what’s the issue with sunscreen? I know the chemicals are bad in general, especially for animals that live in the water. That’s why we don’t buy it, half of the time I’m in water it’s a river. I usually buy zinc mineral based ones (but not nano particles). I’ve been buying badger brand ones, but I couldn’t find it at the store I was at and picked up a babyganics one that said it’s mineral based & I needed sunscreen quickly because I’m gardening a lot this year. I just found an old badger one buried in my bathroom cupboard and compared the ingredients. Yikes! Image in spoiler. Old sun block on left, new one that I grabbed in a pinch- thinking it would be ok- on right. It’s for babies!

Badger is my JAM! It’s the serious best. They’re company let’s parents bring kids on site to work and are super super family friendly. They’re company is semi local over the boarder in NH and it’s the best sunscreen, ingredient wise that I’ve found.
Edit, we’ve already replaced the pump a month ago and it went again. We think it’s the motherboard and thankfully have another washer coming today. Ideally, with this many kids, I want a two washer and two dryer set up.

So, my delivery order didn't process for Panera so at 11:30, I realized I had to drive somewhere to get lunch. I decided I wanted panera anyway and ordered the same salad I thought I had ordered earlier. I went and picked it up and they gave me break instead of chips. Annoyed.
@Gwyneddlesliegrace Being without a washer sucks! Ours is currently out of order too, but hopefully DH is fixing it today fx. I cannot imagine 7 people worth of laundry!
As a follow up to myself. I did google the chemicals in sunscreen to avoid, and the new sunblock I bought has that listed in active ingredients right next to the zinc & titanium oxide. *sigh* I have a gardening friend I can give that sunblock too, and I guess I’ll go on a quest to find my badger brand.
