ERA after m/c and failed IVF

Thank you for those that take the time to read and answer my questions.

Basically, I'd like to know who has had an ERA and their outcome.

I've had 5 rounds where at least 1 embryo was implanted into me and 1 round where I  could not because of OHSS.  I've lost two pregnancies.  The first one was 100% a miscarriage and the second they're not sure if it was ectopic or a miscarriage, leaning towards a miscarriage.

I am undiagnosed infertility and weakly positive for antiphospholipid antibodies which is treated with aspirin during a transfer.

I'm hoping this will give me the answers I need but I am not convinced.  Id love to hear your stories or thoughts.

Thank you!

Re: ERA after m/c and failed IVF

  • I actually have a fairly similar story...5 failed IVF cycles, 4 miscarriages. I just switched REIs and both the old and new RE said that the data for ERAs isn't good at all and they dont recommend it. He is however doing a hysteroscopy with possible endometrial scratch on Tuesday and adding a bunch of new meds next cycle (I'd be happy to chat with you about them). Hope that's helpful

  • @kendradonahue I don't have answers, but also doing an ERA. There's a 25% chance transfer is done on the wrong day, so I def say it's worth it! I think I've only talked to 1 person that's done one that didn't have luck. Everyone else that I know that's done it has sworn by then. Unlike the previous post, my doctor doesn't believe in endo scratches. For me, it's worth knowing if my uterus is high maintenance, transfer was a fluke, or there is something else going on that we should look into.
