Man we have been slacking on these! Come on ladies, what do you have? What have you done this week? Anything new, anything you're avoiding? Any questions?

I have not done a thing since Last Wednesday b/c I got sick and I have a 10k on Sunday. Ughhh guess I will be walking a lot.

  • I went to the gym all 5 days this week! It’s been great. DS is finally really comfortable at the kids club there so I can get 45 good minutes in, plus 20-30 minutes to get a shower and my hair and makeup done. I’ve really just done cardio for awhile, but I just added some weights to help out my upper body. We also did a good 3 mike walk yesterday with him in the stroller. I only wish I had been this motivated to get into shape BEFORE getting knocked up!

  • @Laumb11 Thanks for starting this...I completely forgot! I’m blaming pregnancy brain but in reality it’s probably just me slacking at my workouts the past couple of weeks...

    I only made it to the gym twice this week but we walked the dogs two of the other days so I guess that counts? I will be going today and tomorrow and the weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend so the dogs will definitely get walked each day! 

    @Lisa3379 Nice work on the workouts!! Do you go in the morning or afternoon? I used to get up and go 6 days a week in the morning before work (we usually skipped Wednesday because DH playa hockey late on Tuesday nights) but I’ve been finding it hard to get up at 5am and then function all day at work. Any tips? I don’t have a ton of time in the afternoon or evenings because I’m also a Masters student as well so I’m usually catching up on homework at night.

  • @Laumb11 thanks for posting! Hope the cold is on its way out. Good luck with your 10k tomorrow, too! 

    @spartan4life I’ve had to pretty much give up on early morning workouts. Too hard to get up and moving in the morning now. Have you tried doing your reading on a stationary bike or treadmill? Thats what saved me in my masters program :)

    afm - still recovering from an awesome cold/allergy combo, so it was a pretty light week. Two short runs, 3 Pilates classes, couple good stretch sessions. Hoping to get back on track (and breathing!) for next week.
  • I’ve done my 21 Day fix workouts every day this week and feel really good about it! Today i am headed to the gym while my husband watches the toddler. Working out at home is a great option, but with my daughter trying to workout with me aka get under my feet it can be a little hard to juggle mentally some times! 

    This is the workout I want to try today on the treadmill bc Cardio is one of the harder things to do in my apartment. I’ll let you know how it goes. Happy Saturday! 
  • @halfanewt I can’t believe I never thought of that! I could definitely go to the gym and read on the bike or while walking. That would be a great alternative on the mornings I just can’t get out of bed that early, Thanks!

    I had a few really good days and a few not as good. I’ve been going to prenatal yoga which is really more stretching than working out. I try to go after running. This week I think I worked out 3 times.

    Hoping next week will be a little better.
