What's the best parenting advice that you received while you were pregnant that has really worked wonders for you?
Mine is: One of my best friends told me to make sure we got in a routine and stuck to it! This has been crucial for us. Every night we have bath time (I don't actually wash her every night), then lotion and put pajamas on, then last bottle, then bedtime! We started this around 4 weeks old and she has been sleeping 8-10 hours a night since about 8 weeks old. Sometimes things get a little out of routine on the weekends, i.e. she doesn't get put in the bathtub at all, but she still gets that last bottle around the same time.
Re: Best Parenting Advice
The best advice I received was to write your birth plan
- Who you want present, including children or siblings of the baby
- Procedures you want to avoid
- What positions you prefer for labor and delivery
- Special clothing you'd like to wear
- Whether you want pain medications, and what kind
- What to do if complications arise
