  • Have you tried saline nasal spray to help with congestion?

  • Are you very congested? If so try eating super spicy food and let that sh*t pour out lol works like a charm for me!
  • Robitussin DM, apparently we can also take NyQuil.

I went through a bottle of robitussin and ocean nasal spray and it helped me to fall asleep but that's it... honestly plenty of rest, check with your Dr for what they recommend and let the cold run it's course. I still have a nasty cough and sniffle but I'm also working 12 hours a day 7 days a week so until I get home from this job to actually rest it'll be sticking around... I hope you clear out soon!!

We can take NyQuil?!!! So I have been miserable for no reason? Great.
  • I do a shot of ginger and diluted lemon juice every morning until it starts to ease off. Doesn’t take very long.

It also works when you feel it coming on- stops it right in its tracks, at least for me!

Saline solution through the nostrils for congestion. We can’t get NyQuil here so it’s just taking sick days and suffering through the nights haha

  • You can take regular NyQuil as long as it’s not the kind with phenylephedrine in it. Also, PSA for everyone because some people don’t know. NyQuil is not safe to take with anxiety medicine.
  • @cdepperschmidt Really? I've never heard that before! I'm not on anxiety meds, but that's good to know!

My OB and the pharmacist gave the okay for Sudafed, so maybe ask your OB/midwife if that’s on their list of approved meds?

My favorite is a 'tea' combining 1cup water, 1 oz. Apple cider vinegar (with "the Mother"),  honey and lemon.  Drink that 2-3 times per day.  I also am a big fan of using a Neti pot a few times per day,  but make sure your using distilled water with that!
I've made it a point to avoid all medications if at all possible.

My OB said it's okay too. I just didn't take it more than I needed to.
