Happy Monday?

I was really impressed with my Monday. I woke up on time, got myself and DS ready early, got him breakfast. I actually got to work early.... Only to find the internet isn't working. I teach a technology class first period. Now I have a groups of 23 8th graders playing on Microsoft Paint. It's borderline mutiny in here right now. Guess it's Monday after all!

I’m off work today. I had a day full of stuff planned. Including some self care. But the painter is here today. So I’m in the bedroom with the dog trying to keep her distracted/occupied.

One of my coworkers is currently running the water in the bathroom while she is using it. I’m not judging your poop and pee noises, I’m judging your waste of water, lady!

I'm super cranky but on the plus side the weather in this week is supposed to finally be spring like and be in the 70's and 80's so I am hoping that helps improve my mood a bit.

I've been travelling away from home so much this last month, and I'm kind of over it. Just one more trip to Oregon this weekend, and then hopefully I can stay home for a while. My dogs are feeling very neglected. I've had a great time doing all the things before I can't anymore, but I'm honestly just exhausted.

The exhaustion is real over here too. We went to the dream machines show yesterday (cars, planes, motorcycles, monster trucks, etc) for 3 hours and when I got home I laid on the couch and immediately passed out for an hour. Like I can function and do the things but as soon as I'm home I just can't.

So my giant baby is still measuring 3 weeks ahead and I have to go get an ultrasound at 32 weeks to check in his size lol

I'm here, but usually only check in once a day. It's hard to check the app throughout the day when I dont have my laptop in front of me.

DH just bought us a hammock, and I can't wait to use it! I'm sad he put the stand in the shed last night because it's sunny and 80 right now. I've got to get him to take it out so we can use it this week.

@7425cait I'm jealous of the hammock. 

I can't keep up one FB. I check multiple times a day, but the comments and re-reading everything each time just drives me nuts.

Love the hammock! And the weather here is finally hammock-appropriate.  

Guys, I have 9 weeks left of this school year.  40 days.  Lord, please let this pass quickly!

@msmonalisavito That's so exciting! We have 12 days left of this school year, and I can't wait! Even though I have to work throughout June because I am on an 11 month contract, it will be without students

@msmonalisavito when did you start school? We started mid August and we get out the last day of May.

Not a teacher-- but school starts/ends later here! September through mid June.

We start after Labor Day but with all the extra snow days we used, our last day is June 27th.

That sucks! We haven’t used a snow Day here in several years (North Texas).

 @msmonalisavito I think it's cool you guys don't start until after labor day.  Sending kids to school mid August when it's 100 degrees is kind of ridiculous to me

We start after labor day, and get out the 26th this year. I'm dreading June with no air conditioning.

I’m so sorry ladies. I like starting the week after our county fair, so mid August, and ending before June.

Our state just moved to a post-labor day start effective this fall and so many people were up in arms about it.

Hey gals. I’ve been totally checked out lately and kind of wish the fb move didn’t happen so soon. Oh well. Hope all is well. I’m having horrible back pain right now, kind of wondering if I should call my midwife....  I hope it’s nothing. Anyhoo.

I just want one day off. Trying to save up my leave though. I have Memorial Day and July 4th to look forward to, but I'll be suffering up until this little girl arrives.

Agreed! Its so hard to not take a day off here and there for some "me time". But I definitely want to get paid as long as possible on maternity leave

I'm still around! I've been MIA lately as I wrap up my graduate degree - TB and FB are too much of distractions for me so I just stopped for a little while. I'm done after today and will have a masters! Woot.

We start like..the 3rd week of august? Maybe the 4th. Depends. Then we go until end of May - just like @lalala2004. But we are in the same state   We have 19 more school days left - but in reality, I'm just trying to make until May 14. That's the last day of AP testing. After that, my students do nothing but projects for the next few weeks and I sit and don't do much. It's glorious.

@hezzer78 that's huge! Congrats on the Masters! I decided to start mine when I was 8 months pregnant with my first (great idea). I'm working on my plus 30 now. Woo.
