@artemis618 Prayers that this will be your rainbow...you sound like an amazingly strong woman!
@kchiquita20 I hate having to make excuses to people about not drinking! But @artemis618 is right, the metronidazole (sp?) used for BV is VERY sensitive to alcohol. I also fell victim to it while drinking a relatively small amount of wine. It was awful.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 8w5d, which is exactly when my first babe passed away, although we didn't find out for another week or so. Anxietyyyy.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Awful lol but I'll take it. Morning sickness is an asshole and I'm also so bloated (and fat) that someone asked me if I'm pregnant today, ugh!
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Terrible horrible no good very bad. Sometimes I manage to not think about it for a few hours at a time? Occasionally? Almost no blood for the past two days but I don't even feel better because of it because last time that happened there was just extra afterward.
4. Any appointment updates? I have my "first" appointment this afternoon. LOL. Course I've already been in, what, six times because of the bleeding? I don't know if they're doing an u/s or anything but I hope so because I certainly won't be able to find a h/b on a doppler for another week or two at least and my anxiety is baaaaaad.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Work is annoying, my children are adorable, I can't wait to have a normal relationship with food again.
GTKY: What is your favorite food? My mama's from Mexico so... Mexican (I had pork adobo for lunch today and it was so good but I also kind of need to throw it up now)
ETA: Can someone remind me how to change my avatar image? Cute as that pic is it's blurry as hell and also old, lol
Hey Y'all- happy wednesday (how is it not friday yet?)
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 5W6D. This is actually the time that I lost my last pregnancy. This coupled with some news I received yesterday has been feeling a little emotional.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Fatigue and starting to get waves of nausea. I have been very crampy.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I have been having my HCG checked every 48 hours and having my progesterone checked every week. Initially my progesterone came in at 16. I was started on an oral supplement and was tested again a week later, my levels only went up to 17. I now have to take it vaginally and will get checked again on Monday. Between the cramps and low progesterone, I am feeling very nervous.
4. Any appointment updates? I have an US on Monday. I am very anxious. I am not sure I will be able to look at the screen until the Dr. says "everything looks good." Anxiety from the last time around.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Work has been crazy busy and will only continue to get worse. Being a supervisor in property claims, summer is our busiest season. Luckily, we have not had too many large storms so far this year.
GTKY: What is your favorite food? Currently, nothing really sticks out to me. Not much of an appetite. Typically, I love all the snacks - pretzels, Cheez Its, etc.
@Mommy2Boys87 I think you’re due date buddies with @misfithero and me - may I ask where you are that you’re able to use an oral progesterone supplement? Or maybe it’s just not approved for IVF...I looked into everything I could to avoid progesterone shots or suppositories (and was told that oral wasn’t an option for me doing a FET - ended up with vaginal suppositories).

I am located in the US - Michigan. I started with oral and it was not making a difference with my levels, so I had to move on to suppositories. I find out today if that has made any difference. Not sure what the next step will be if the suppositories do not make a difference.
Ughhhh.. I am still spotting. I have been since 6 days after my embryo transfer. It stopped for 2 days last week and has been back since Thursday. I am on baby aspirin and my RE says that could make me more prone to pregnancy bleeding but it is really really messing with my PGAL brain. My anxiety is about it is getting worse as we get closer to my heartbeat ultrasound on Wednesday.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 5w9. It was about now that I was told my 1st pregnancy would be unsuccessful. The nurse told me in the worst way. She obviously hadn’t looked at my HCG levels before picking up the phone. She confirmed who I was and then said she was looking over my blood work and “oh... oh... yeah this isn’t a viable pregnancy” very nonchalantly. I burst into tears. I think she quickly realized how insensitive she was an apologized profusely, but the damage was done. 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Sore boobs, I give myself car sickness when I drive which sucks because my commute is 40 minutes. Occasional nausea
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Still anxious. I try to only scan myself twice a week but it usually ends up 3 times. The sac is getting bigger, the yolk sac is more visible and I THINK I saw a little grain of rice baby measuring 6w0. It’s so hard to see through the abdomen though, so I can’t be sure. 4. Any appointment updates? No appointments. My doctor said to just call as soon as I can see a heartbeat. 5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I am getting anxious about telling Work. We are super understaffed and didn’t get approval for a full time position that we NEED. They are not going to be impressed that I’m pregnant. GTKY: What is your favorite food? junk food- cinnamon rolls regular food... breakfast. All breakfast.
@lexidawg So Sorry you’re still spotting. I am too. It’s definitely a mind-f.
@kchiquita20 I’m sorry about that nurse being so insensitive. I had a similar experience with my loss where they were very withholding with any info. I think they get very detached since they see it so much, but they need to remember their patients most times have no idea what’s going on. Also, I hope your work ends up being more supportive than you’re anticipating.
Everyone, thanks for the good thoughts for my appointment on Friday! Baby is happily floating around in there with a strong heartbeat, and even waved at us with a weird flipper The doctor and I had a long talk. She thinks she has found the spot on my cervix that the bleeding is coming from. She sees no sign that any of it is coming out of the uterus at all, which is obviously great since it means no risk for the pregnancy. We had a looooong chat about all kinds of things and after hearing probably WAY too much information about my entire history, lol, and looking at all the info on the pregnancy thus far, she really thinks we're going to be okay this time. She said she has a pretty good rate of telling. So that made me feel pretty good. Friday I was 8w5d which was when baby's heart stopped beating with my loss, so seeing a nice strong heartbeat and a clearly alive little bean was great. In the past I've been able to get a hb on the doppler late in the 9th week so I'm going to try this weekend, I think. FX!!!
She's also putting me in for a few fetal echoes for later in the pregnancy because of my daughter's severe CHD, which is awesome since last time I had to fight to get even one. (She was horrified). I like her.
@artemis618, I had progesterone supplements with both my other kids. With my daughter, they had me do it vaginally, no question. With my son (different doctor) they had me do it orally and thought it was weird I even thought they would do it vaginally. So maybe it's just a doctor to doctor thing? I'm in the US too. (First was in Indiana, second in New York)
@lexidawg, sorry you're spotting I hope for a great u/s Wednesday!
@kchiquita20, um, that nurse sounds like a peach. I'm so sorry! I had a doctor be a giant a-hole to me about my loss too. "You're young, you can just try again" UM OKAY THANKS THAT MAKES IT ALL BETTER
@lexidawg I'm so sorry you're still spotting, I hope it stops soon! @Luthy YAY for a strong heartbeat and a healthy little bean! I'm glad your dr seems to be on the ball and that she gave you reassurance!
@katy0990@misfithero@Luthy - Thank you! It's so stressful and I sent my nurse a distressed email this morning because my anxiety was not letting me function today. She says the brown spotting is totally normal and I shouldn't worry. EASY FOR HER TO SAY!
@Luthy - So glad it was a great appointment and that the OB really listened to you!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 6 weeks 2 days - I passed all my four of my milestones
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Queasy on and off. Nipples hurt a lot but my boobs are fine. All kinds of tired and moody.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I actually had expected to be really anxious but I really haven't been. I was nervous yesterday and today because I had an ultrasound but anxiety near appointments is pretty common.
4. Any appointment updates?
I had an ultrasound today. Everything looked exactly like it should. We saw the heartbeat at 121 beats. It was like a huge weight was lifted. I have my first OB next week.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I have been so tired lately that I have been having trouble keeping up with the mess around the house made by two kids and a husband, which always gets worse after a weekend. Last Thursday we made a deal for my husband to do the dishes after dinner since I am always the one that does the dishes. He didn't so I had to on Friday morning. He then told me he would do the dishes all weekend. I ended up doing them on Monday morning. He laughed it off trying to act all innocent, I wanted to wring his neck. He told me I'm the one who makes the most dishes to which I told him I'll stop cooking dinner then. That had him changing his tune. I told him with my last pregnancy it would be amazing if he made it through the pregnancy without a black eye - that seems to apply to this one too!
GTKY: What is your favorite food? Right now all I want is tuna salad sandwiches, pizza, peaches, mozzarella sticks, and mashed potatoes - although not together. Normally I love all things pasta.

...my husband to do the dishes after dinner since I am always the one that does the dishes ...
Ugh! DH and I ironed that one out when we were dating (and living together). I DESPISE dish washing and DH doesn't mind it. So we agreed that I cook and he washes dishes. Always. Luckily DH likes cooking, but I do most of it to avoid dish duty.
I think YH owes you big time. I'm thinking that he can redeem himself with flowers, ginger ale, and ordering pizza.

@rlpointer I’m sorry that you have four milestones but am glad you’re past them. That’s a great HB! I’m 6w3d today and just saw our little flicker this AM at 109. I was also so, so nervous last night and this morning. I have two more scans with my RE, then they hand me off. Not cool about the dishes...

Yay for seeing the heartbeat @artemis618!!! One of my friends is sneaking me into the hospital where she works after their last appointment today so she can scan me and hopefully alleviate some of this anxiety. 4 o'clock can NOT get here soon enough.
@rlpointer my husband hates to do the dishes as well. So they just pile up in the sink until I get tired of looking at them. I even told him I would do everything else if he would just UNLOAD the dishwasher. Nope. All me. He might get a black eye too
I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was brown discharge on the toilet paper. That’s how it started last time. I am so scared! My tests have gotten darker for 2 weeks now. My ultrasound is Friday. Please send prayers and good vibes!
@katy0990 I know that can be super scary, but brown spotting can also be very normal. (I know it's so tough to remember that when it's happening to you!) I'm sorry you have to wait until Friday to have your ultrasound, but I'm thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way!!!
@katy0990 I know it’s easier said than done (especially PGAL) but please try to stay positive and try to remember that spotting can be normal. Thinking of you and hoping time flies by for you...and most of all, a healthy report on Friday!
Thanks for the support ladies. I keep checking and cannot sleep. I took another test and had a very dark line within 30 seconds, so that gives me hope!
I'm sorry @katy0990, I hope it stops and that Friday gets here quickly for you

I think they get very detached since they see it so much, but they need to remember their patients most times have no idea what’s going on. Also, I hope your work ends up being more supportive than you’re anticipating.
@lexidawg, sorry you're spotting
@kchiquita20, um, that nurse sounds like a peach. I'm so sorry! I had a doctor be a giant a-hole to me about my loss too. "You're young, you can just try again" UM OKAY THANKS THAT MAKES IT ALL BETTER
@Luthy YAY for a strong heartbeat and a healthy little bean! I'm glad your dr seems to be on the ball and that she gave you reassurance!

@Luthy - So glad it was a great appointment and that the OB really listened to you!
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I have been so tired lately that I have been having trouble keeping up with the mess around the house made by two kids and a husband, which always gets worse after a weekend.

@rlpointer my husband hates to do the dishes as well. So they just pile up in the sink until I get tired of looking at them. I even told him I would do everything else if he would just UNLOAD the dishwasher. Nope. All me. He might get a black eye too
