If I get sonic for breakfast, I always get a bacon toaster. Well the burritos have a few less carbs, so I ordered a bacon burrito instead. Got to work and opened up a sausage burrito. I hate sausage. Now I'm hungry and pissed off.

@CecilB93 That really sucks! I have a Sonic story too.  I was really craving Sonic for breakfast on Friday, so I convinced DH to take me there. We pulled in and there were no cars - thought we were lucky! It was around 8:30.  Sat at a menu board for a few minutes pressing the button, and no response.  Come to find out, they changed their hours and didn't open until 9 a.m.! What kind of breakfast place doesn't open til 9 on a weekday??? How are people supposed to stop and grab breakfast before work? I was sooooo angry! And it's the only location in our area, so we ended up getting donuts instead. Disappointing...

DH and the kids are going on a hike with friends. I’m stuck home because my asthma is awful right now. I’m sad I can’t be with them and hiking is my favorite. 


Ill I’ll be home with my baby and clean.

What?!? Ours has always opened at 6am, I used to work there so I know! That's insane!!

Anytime my husband stays home on a weekday it throws my whole day off. I dont necessarily have a schedule for the kiddos but we still have an idea of how the day will typically play out. When he either stays home or works from home it throws us all out of wack and the kids are always in bad moods.
Today is one of those days.

Nausea has set in and I feel like crap. I just want to go home and go to bed. And now I want Sonic too.

@CecilB93 Ooh I have a gift card that's been burning a hole in my wallet. I never know what to get at Sonic, but that sounds delicious. Do they have breakfast all day, or will I have to wait until tomorrow?

I teach 5th grade and school gets out in 24 days. I can't wait. They are just so wild and many of them don't care anymore. Honestly, I don't care anymore either. It's been a long, hard year. Our actual school got flooded, so now we are at a temporary location in a portable. I think we are all just ready for a break. I just want to spend time with my son and get ready for this next little one to arrive.

My b*tchfest- Why is everything always closed on Mondays?! DEQ isn’t open on Monday! I drive an older diesel vehicle, and she needs to pass her pollution test to get new tags. Tags expire on Wednesday. I was planning to take her in this morning to test/renew tags. In case she failed, that would give me a couple days to fix her up and try again. Now I’ll have a day. I’m just hoping she passes the test first try.

Ooh, I thought of one! (I'm not feeling very bitchy today, I guess.) I can't find Jolly Ranchers anywhere. They're the only thing I want to suck on when I'm feeling ick, and like...do they not make them anymore or what? I got some Sour Patch Kids yesterday and they're fine, but I'd really rather hunt down some Jolly Ranchers.

Also, from yesterday: a storm started RIGHT as my kid fell asleep for his second nap. It was fine, the thunder didn't wake him up. I did. At the 30 minute mark, when the tornado sirens started going off and we had to go hide in the closet. The true frustration: the tornado went north. I should have just let him sleep!

Ok ladies, I don't know how yall are, but one thing that will always get me going is talking about my husband or my child. And today i was tested!! This little dweeb of a man i work with, was being extremely rude to one of our coworkers. Telling her she had a greasy face and buck teeth. Now hearing this i walked over and let him know i thought he was being extremely rude and childish. He informed me that he was a "real man" and told it like it was. I responded that "real men" would never address a woman in such a manner. Then he had the nerve, the audacity to tell me he bet he was a better man than my husband........ ladies....... you know i lost it. So then he proceeded to threaten to kick my husbands a**. So i called my husband,  who by the way is a former marine and current police officer,  told him the situation. He told me to inform this man, that whenever he wanted a piece to drive up to the precinct. Needless to say the little man came up with countless reasons as to why he couldn't meet him....... already that shut him up for now....... but Jesus i was mad. There's more to the story but im already getting lengthy here lol

i know this is ridiculous, but i am really cranky that i can't find a green juice anywhere on this college campus. They are one of the things that really helps me feel better (for whatever reason).

@readysetwhoa I completely understand. I teach 2nd grade and they are OFF THE HOOK. A few  don’t want to listen and think the rules don’t apply to them. Our field trip tomorrow was canceled due to rain and I may have blamed their behavior...

@lavenderlisa Well that guy sounds like a joy. Can you report him to hr or something? All of that was extremely inappropriate for him to be  saying at all, let alone at work.

@PensiveCrayon I feel better sucking on hard candy too and I found jolly ranchers at the grocery store. I also got life savers...maybe try those if you can’t find jolly ranchers? Also, tornado sirens! So scary! This is why I’ll never move to the Midwest.

@rosebud332 i wish that would help but all HR does is give them a "talking to" and send them back to work. They don't care. 
 
But yes ladies he is a jerk, a major dill hole. And I haven't even told yall the best part, get this....... He claims to be........A PREACHER!!!! lord help me. 

Thankfully though, i won't be working there much longer. My husband has given me the ok to begin my sahm career.  Yaayy

@lavenderlisa What a jerk! I hate it when people act like that and then claim to be so religious. There was a guy I used to work with who was such a racist sexist jerk who was borderline abusive to his students who also claimed to be s minister. It drove me nuts l. So much hypocrisy!

It’s not a real b*tchfest, but I was a little miffed that my fave grocery store didn’t have plain salmon at the seafood counter, so I had to buy frozen. If the state of the salmon negatively effects my dinner plan I will be real grumpy.

@PensiveCrayon I feel your pain. I’ve been wanting lemon heads and I can’t find them either. I had a pack of sour patch kids, but they tore up my mouth.

@lavenderlisa it surprises me that your HR department would let that kind of behavior fly. That’s harassment. Any chance they would do more if there are multiple complaints? Dude needs to get fired. Or his a** kicked. Or both.

Hmmm my biggest annoyance today... I want coffee so bad!!! I know yo can technically have it in moderation while pregnant, however I’m one of those who has to cut it out completely during pregnancy. I miss it terribly   

Other than that I can’t complain too much. I mean all things food sound gross at the moment and I’m hungry. That’s always a pain. But I think it’s also something many of us are probably going through at the moment.

@borgie05 Unfortunately our HR department does nothing. At the most they might transfer him. We've had much worse things reported to HR including bullying, not being able to take breaks, fowl language, harassment. They flat out break osha laws and HR doesn't care unless you threaten to take legal action. Nothing is ever done, even when proof is shown. That place is terrible, which is why they can't keep anyone. There are clicks there and if you aren't in the group nothing is good enough but, if your a favorite then you ger away with murder. People fight, get transferred, get transferred and band. Yet they always bring them back. It's honestly so toxic I'm so thankful I don't have to work there much longer.

I got a nasty gram this morning for not submitting my measles and mumps immunization records by 4/16, when I’d never been told I needed to. 

Thank god my states registry back loaded all that info. I had a titre for rubella last week, but I don’t know if I would have had time to get the others before the deadline.

my BF is that I just went to the dentist. I brush everyday and slack here and there with flossing but now I have two cavities!! Which they can’t do anything about until my second trimester which is fine so I can save up for the copay. But why teeth! Why!!

@sheshae girl if my husband wasnt a popo and I wasnt on airport property, which is automatically a felony charge when on federal property, I would have clocked that mf'er. There's nothing I hate more than a bully!!

@echo-charlietango I'd call the salmon thing a real gripe, man. I've been there. This is my favorite favorite salmon recipe but it tastes so blah with frozen filets. I pretty much try to stick to the commissary on post for groceries, but for whatever reason they don't have a seafood counter, so if I want salmon I have to go to Publix across the street from us, and that's just $$$. I recently discovered that Sam's has lovely, fresh salmon for sale in Sam's-sized filets. So I take it home, cut it up, and freeze it in more reasonable portions. Bonus: I always have salmon when I want it!

Anyway. Hope your dinner wasn't a total loss.

@PensiveCrayon It wasn’t a total loss, but it could have been better. Also, that recipe looks delicious, and we haven’t had a nice herb crust in a while -yum. Otherwise, I’m excited for Publix, since SYSK Josh says they have the best cake. But I’m super going to miss Kroger/Dillons

My bitchfest is that I worked an incredibly exhausting, nearly 12 hour day and I barely got to bump at all! I'm so behind! (Also, I need to sleep for like a million hours.)

@echo-charlietango Publix is beautiful and sooooo expensive. I haven’t tried their cake though! And yeah, agreed on the Kroger thing (it was Smith’s in Vegas). It was a very close and reasonable option for groceries when I didn’t want to drive the half hour to base.

@tumbleweed-1 I think so? When I lived in CA we called it "smog check" and you could just get it done just about anywhere, you didn't have to go to a designated place like DEQ. I never heard of DEQ until I moved to OR, so I just figured it was an Oregon thing!

@Hollyyyyy I’m in the metro area too! I used to live in downtown Portland, but it’s so expensive. We moved out a bit to afford a 2 bedroom place.

Bitchfest follow up, if you’ll all let me vent. My car didn’t pass because it needs to do a “drive cycle”. I looked that up, and it’s basically the same thing as the ~6 min drive it took me to get to DEQ this morning. Difference being I had to wait an hour for my turn once I got there. They suggested coming back tomorrow evening. (I’m new to this driving thing- I’ve only had a car for a year, so I’m probably making a bigger deal about all this than most would).
