    @Mlight28 Congratulations! So very exciting!!!

    I finished my 10-day round of Progesterone on Friday and AF came the next day. Tomorrow I start my very first round of Clomid, I am so excited and very nervous. Does anyone have any tips when taking it or know where I could get advice from women who have taken it?

    QOTW: I honestly chose my current profession because of the job security and the opportunity for growth. I know that sounds super boring, but what I do for work isn't really that important to me. I care more about what I am able to do outside of my job.  :)

    **TW** Well here I am at my third loss. Confirmed today that hcg is trending down. While this sucks, it is at least relieved that it wasn’t an ectopic pregnancy. I meet with my RE next week to discuss further plans.
  • Options
    @mrsjcrane so sorry about your loss. I hope your RE can give u some answers.
    @be08ryan clomid often doesn't have too many side effects, I had some hot flushes at night and dry skin. It's not uncommon to not respond by the first blood test so don't worry too much if that happens. Fx it works for you

    I got my period today, which is the first time in 15 months. Everyone says I should be happy cause that's good progress. My aim is to get a baby not a period so I'm feeling much more devastated then happy. Start next treatment cycle tomorrow

    @mrsjcrane I am so sorry for your loss. All the luck to you at your RE appointment next week.

    @mighty-mouse Thank you for the advice! I’m sorry this month wasn’t successful. You absolutely don’t have to be happy about getting your period. Sulk it out for a day or two (or three or four), then when your ready, put your game face back on! FX next month is your month!!

    @mrsjcrane i'm so sorry.  loss is awful for so many reasons, one being the emotional rollercoaster it puts you on.  But so so glad it wasn't ectopic.  How are you feeling about everything?

    @mighty-mouse yeah it's hard to get excited about a period.  Literally the only time I was excited was the month I had my hysteroscopy (since we weren't trying) and I was ready to get going with the next treatment cycle.

    QOTW: my profession (real estate) kinda chose me. I was working a different job and a customer who was a realtor asked me to interview to be his assistant.  It snowballed from there.  It is nice because it's fairly flexible and you learn new things all the time.

    @be08ryan good the progesterone worked as planned. Sorry, no experience with clomid

    @mrsjcrane so so sorry to see you back

    @mighty-mouse sorry you got AF but good you get to start treatment - what are you doing.

    @wishing-and-hoping wow sounds like it was a perfect job and way to find it!

    AFM
    Got our protocol for IVF#4 and I’m having huge issues getting hold of the meds prescribed. It’s causing me a lot of stress as AF is likely to come at the weekend. Clock is ticking...

    QOTW I actually started to study to be a vet, had a family major issue which meant I went home to take care of some stuff, broke my leg and had to take a long time off and the office I’d just started working at before let me study whilst I was 1.5 years off sick and I fell into accountancy. It might not have been my choice, but it’s the perfect profession for me and has taken me all over the world and provided more opportunities than I could ever have dreamt of.

    @be08ryan - Good luck on clomid. Of all the drugs I've taken, clomid is probably my least favourite - I just found the side effects (hot flashes, mood swings, extra painful ovulation) really pronounced. There should be some threads discussing the clomid side effects.

    @mrsjcrane - I'm so sorry. :(

    @mighty-mouse - Ugh. I hear you. It's progress, but IF is still a sh*tty situation to be in. Hang in there!

    @emmasemm - keeping FX that you get your drugs in time!!

    AFM: We had our third FET today. We find out results in a couple of weeks. Really hoping that this is the one!

    @funkykey oh I have everything crossed for you! And I know you’re with a lot of our ex Sep17 IVF group in the April FET group at the moment, so hopefully it’s also comforting having some of those familiar faces around

    AFM - we got the meds!!! So next step is praying for AF to stay away until Monday! Step by step is how we’ll take it again.

    Hey y’all...been lurking while we wait for my surgery (a little less than a month to go!) I’m starting to get really nervous about it but I think it’s just all the anticipation!  I’m kind of annoyed right now with our RE’s office, I think bc we haven’t really started trying with them yet, just gone through testing, etc. nobody really knows me or knows what’s going on and I’ve been having a lot of issues with my estrogen Rx.  So he ordered lab work for me a few weeks after I started taking estrogen to check my levels, and I never heard from them after I had that test done.  So I called finally because I was running out of my Rx and needed them to refill it.  So the nurse says my levels are good and to keep doing what I’m doing...but when I pick up the Rx the label is instructing me to take half of what I was taking.  So I call back (each time I have to do this it takes like a day to get anyone to call me back) and she’s like oh that’s weird, no keep taking the amount you were taking.  So I do that but I of course go through the Rx twice as fast as I should have, so now the pharmacy won’t refill it.  So I spend all day yesterday trying to get someone on the phone and when I finally do the nurse goes “are you sure you should be taking that much?  Your levels are really high..” I was like are you asking me???????  So now I’m waiting for her to talk to a doctor and call me back today about that. UGH.  This is not a fun thing for them to mess around with bc I am HORMONAL and moody  :D so, I went ahead and told the nurse that I’ve been sticking to the diet and not losing weight so maybe that could be because my estrogen is too high?  FX they get it straightened out today!

    @funkykey thinking about you!!!!!!!!!!!!  <3

    hugs to everyone else!!!!!!!!!
