I finished my 10-day round of Progesterone on Friday and AF came the next day. Tomorrow I start my very first round of Clomid, I am so excited and very nervous. Does anyone have any tips when taking it or know where I could get advice from women who have taken it?
QOTW: I honestly chose my current profession because of the job security and the opportunity for growth. I know that sounds super boring, but what I do for work isn't really that important to me. I care more about what I am able to do outside of my job.
Married: 9/16
TTC: 1/17
Dx: PCOS | AO
Round 1: 50mg Clomid - 4/18
BFP - 5/13/18
@be08ryan clomid often doesn't have too many side effects, I had some hot flushes at night and dry skin. It's not uncommon to not respond by the first blood test so don't worry too much if that happens. Fx it works for you
I got my period today, which is the first time in 15 months. Everyone says I should be happy cause that's good progress. My aim is to get a baby not a period so I'm feeling much more devastated then happy. Start next treatment cycle tomorrow
@mighty-mouse Thank you for the advice! I’m sorry this month wasn’t successful. You absolutely don’t have to be happy about getting your period. Sulk it out for a day or two (or three or four), then when your ready, put your game face back on! FX next month is your month!!
Married: 9/16
TTC: 1/17
Dx: PCOS | AO
Round 1: 50mg Clomid - 4/18
BFP - 5/13/18
@mighty-mouse yeah it's hard to get excited about a period. Literally the only time I was excited was the month I had my hysteroscopy (since we weren't trying) and I was ready to get going with the next treatment cycle.
QOTW: my profession (real estate) kinda chose me. I was working a different job and a customer who was a realtor asked me to interview to be his assistant. It snowballed from there. It is nice because it's fairly flexible and you learn new things all the time.
TTC 21 cycles
All TI cycles BFN (with letrozole, ovidrel, prometrium)
Hysteroscopy + Polypectomy + D&C on 1/3
IUI #1 February 6, BFP 2/21, CP 2/26
IUI #2 March 14, BFN
IUI #3 April 11, BFN
IUI #4 May 11, BFN
July 2018 IVF, developed lead follicle, converted to TI, BFN
August/September 2018 IVF converted to freeze-all: 7 mature eggs; we fertilized 3 and froze 4. 3/3 fertilized and 1 blast!
October 2018 FET-BFN
November 2018 FET-TBD
@mrsjcrane so so sorry to see you back
@mighty-mouse sorry you got AF but good you get to start treatment - what are you doing.
@wishing-and-hoping wow sounds like it was a perfect job and way to find it!
AFM
Got our protocol for IVF#4 and I’m having huge issues getting hold of the meds prescribed. It’s causing me a lot of stress as AF is likely to come at the weekend. Clock is ticking...
QOTW I actually started to study to be a vet, had a family major issue which meant I went home to take care of some stuff, broke my leg and had to take a long time off and the office I’d just started working at before let me study whilst I was 1.5 years off sick and I fell into accountancy. It might not have been my choice, but it’s the perfect profession for me and has taken me all over the world and provided more opportunities than I could ever have dreamt of.
