My high risk OB wrote a note saying the recommended me out of work until after baby was born. I gave it to HR they sent me FMLA paperwork, I forwarded it to my Dr. Then Dr says they don't fill out FMLA, my delivering OB will have to. Delivering OB says no, he didn't write me out so he can't fill it out. So now 2 weeks later, I have been out of work expecting to be covered by short term and no one filling out paperwork. I'm also not sure how I can go back to work since I already turned in the note saying I should be out... Any experience or suggestions are helpful. I'm so stressed.
Re: FMLA concern
Also just something to note in case you were not already aware just so you don't have a shock down the road after baby is here, unless your state has different requirements FMLA provides up to 12 weeks protected leave. The time on leave before delivery counts towards the 12 weeks the same as after birth leave time. Unless your state has additional leave options available to you.
