Dude.... why did the Bump app suddenly get rid of the November 2018 link at the bottom of the page. That’s what I’d click to refresh and go back to the main forum after reading threads.  The stupid back button never works unless you hit it 15 times. Now I’m getting frustrated every time I try to Bump. Jerks.

Happy Monday! I am hoping and praying I make it through today. We were out late last night watching WrestleMania and didn't get home until close to 1am. I slept like the dead and 6am came too fast!! Add this to all the fatigue and I and going to try my hardest to not fall asleep at my desk today.

It’s going to rain all day today and I’m watching my friends two kids, ages 2.5 and 5. Add in my own 2.5 year old, it should make for an interesting day.

Saw the movie A Quiet Place this weekend. I don’t want to spoil it for people going to see it...

but kinda wish it came with a TW for moms/pregnant women. I did read an interview with director John krasinski where he said he envisioned it as “a metaphor for the anxieties of parenting” later though

@lifesabeach85 I want to see that movie... but I don't know if I want to watch something scary right now.

Today is the first day of the LAST SIX WEEKS (grading period) of the school year. 1 down (almost), 5 more Mondays to go...

@lifesabeach85 and @middleschoolmommy - I want to see it, too!  But it does seem like it could be triggering to some parents/pregnant women for sure.  I read the plot summary on Wikipedia because I'm a HUGE chicken.

The most exciting thing this week is my first appointment on Friday!  I'm also going to see Les Mis on Friday night with my best friend.  Tomorrow I have an appointment with a speech therapy coordinator for my younger daughter.  They don't THINK she has a speech delay, but this is a meeting so that they can check the box, I guess.

@lifesabeach85 I just saw it yesterday.  I agree that it could be difficult, especially for pregnant moms (though I can see it being hard for parents in general), but I knew roughly what to expect going in, so most of it didn't bother me too much.

I agree, though.  Definitely take a pass if you're feeling sensitive/emotional or can't handle anything anxiety/sadness-inducing that has to do with children or babies.

I don't regret seeing it at all (it was great, honestly one of the best horror movies I've seen in ages), but it had me emotional a few times.

My OB office just called saying there wasn't enough fetal DNA in my blood sample for the NIPT results 
WTF two days early.

@troystory17 How far along were you when they did the blood draw and how long did it take for them to tell you the results were invalid? I had mine done on Friday at 10+3 and was thinking about that possibility

@troystory17 will you have to go back in? @lifesabeach85 I was wondering about the possibility of that with mine. I will be 10+2 on Thursday when it gets done, but my U/S had me measuring a couple days behind my EDD. They didn't adjust my due date though. Hoping there will be enough in mine so I don't have to redraw.

@lifesabeach85 I had my blood drawn at 9w1d they scheduled it I didnt.  I understand that's cutting it close, but it took 12 days for someone to call.  Hopefully you'll be ok she said they need 3% fetal DNA and mine was 2.6%.  This was Panorama I'm not sure if every test is different. 

@wannaflickone I have an appointment scheduled for Thursday so she said they will try to draw it then.

I'm approaching 10 weeks this week and finishing up a new painting for a show coming up soon! Keeping it low key and very excited about having more energy soon.

I finally switched out my closet this weekend to get my fall/winter stuff out and put in spring/maternity items. I have to admit it was a little depressing hanging up skirts that I know will probably only fit for a few more weeks. For some reason, I'm struggling with the impending weight gain and body change more this time. It's my 3rd, so you would think I would be ok with it. Sorry, hate complaining about this because I know a growing belly means a healthy, growing baby, but it is just what I'm struggling with right now.

@troystory17 That stinks! Apparently, that was happening a lot at my OB's office with the Panorama, so they don't do them until 12+ weeks now. My draw is scheduled at 12w5d for me. Fingers crossed for your next draw!

@wannaflickone I'm feeling the same way about the impending weight gain and body changes.  Part of it for me is that I've never really made it back to my pre-pregnancy weight before I had my first, so this seems like it will just set me back even further.  I'm trying to be extra healthy this pregnancy to maybe make it a little easier, but so far I haven't had much luck. I'm hoping when I start feeling better in the second trimester it will be easier to make better diet decisions.

@wannaflickone I am still hanging on to the last ten pounds of my last pregnancy. I think it had to do with a medication I was on. I just switched, so with a new med and with all this morning sickness that lasts all day, I'm hoping to drop that ten before I turn around and immediately gain it back! Not looking forward to it either way! But you're right. We'll just try to focus on the fact that the bigger we are, the bigger babies are!

I'm trying to convince DH to let me pay the $280 to register for CAMT (Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching) this year. It's in Houston, so not only would I get ALL my professional development hours for the summer in those 3 days, we could also head to Galveston for a very brief vacation afterwards!

Yes! I noticed this too! It's extra annoying to use the app now. 

@troystory17 - ugh that's annoying. Hopefully the redraw goes smoothly and you get results soon after.

I'm also struggling with weight changes. I haven't gained much weight yet but my stomach/sides are definitely bigger so my shirts are tighter. My food aversions are making it difficult to eat well. 

My parents are coming from out of state on Thursday, so we will probably tell them I'm pregnant Friday. It's earlier than I'd like to tell them, but we won't see them again until July and I think I'll have a hard time hiding how miserable I'm feeling while they are here. They are going to do an egg hunt with DS in our backyard so I was thinking about putting an ultrasound picture in one of the eggs so when they open the eggs with DS they find it. I need to look up some announcement ideas. I think they are going to be shocked because they know we did our testing for IVF and were going to start meds in April/May.

@wannaflickone Don’t feel bad about complaining. I think it’s normal to feel more anxious about it with subsequent pregnancies. I was super naive about how much my body would change during my first pregnancy. I thought if I kept my weight gain in the recommended guidelines, it would just come right off when the baby was born and I’d be in my old clothes immediately. Obviously, that didn’t happen. So this time I’m much more bummed about the weight gain because I know it will take a long time and a lot of hard work to get it off.

We're planning the same thing @mockingjay1.  My parents will be in town this weekend and, provided my ultrasound on Friday goes well, we'll probably tell them so I don't have to hide how nauseous and tired I am.   

@middleschoolmommy that sounds awesome!  Hopefully he gets on board. 

@troystory17 that's so frustrating.  You'd think the OB would have scheduled it when you're not likely to have to do a redraw.  With it being that close, hopefully they get enough when they do the redraw.

Anyone else's pets just constantly in your face?  Our dogs are normally a bit clingy but I cannot get them to leave me alone now!  I feel bad because I know they probably sense the hormones and baby but the last thing I want is hot dog breath on me while I am trying to decide if I need to run to the bathroom or not.

And our normally standoff-ish cat is suddenly always in my lap and purring up a storm.  I just want to suffer in peace! hahah

@pink_polkadots It’s the worst that it’s not at the bottom anymore! The Bump app seriously sucks. And the November 2018 link is only at the top on the first page of replies.

@wannaflickone  I’m feeling the same way. I feel huge and gross already. I’m getting bigger so much faster with number 3, and it makes me uncomfortable and self conscious. My butt and hips got wider already, and my stomach and boobs are huge. This third baby thing is blowing my mind with what it’s doing to my body! And I haven’t even told everyone at work I want to tell, so I’m basically hiding at my desk for as much of the day as possible because I feel so self conscious about how I look right now.

@purelex Yes!  My cat is always affectionate with me, but every time I lay down, she gets right up in my face and starts licking my face and neck and purring like crazy.  She did the same thing last time.

Completely random:
Looking at the newly posted ultrasound pictures made me think of when my dad and step mom invited me (I was 19 at the time) to see an ultrasound when she was pregnant with my brother. She wasn't too far into her 2nd trimester and I remember her asking if they could tell the sex of the baby, but it was too early. Thinking back on it... Why wouldn't she know that? Did she not read all the info she could get her hands on? She was a FTM and I just realized how weird that seems to me now. I also remember that my brother looked like a duck on the picture that I got to keep. I'm going to have to find that and tag him on instagram

Ugh!! I just remembered that my daughter has a roller skating party on Thirsday with her troop! She has never rolled skated before (we did ice skating once this year). I was expecting to be out there to help her. But now, I don't want to because it is too dangerous in my opinion while pregnant. She really wants to go and I don't know what to do!

@kbrown2385 on the app, but they’re not under the normal smilies. I found them by accident. It you type a :  some will come up, if you type a letter after, you’ll see other options that start with the letter. So like :cookie*: without the * makes   ::mind blown::

I keep reminding myself that this exhaustion and nausea won’t last forever. It’s helping.... kind of.

My best friend's brother & SIL just adopted a baby in December after TTC for 5 years (they had 7 or 8 failed IUIs). She told me today that SIL is pregnant!!!! She's due in October so her babies will be 11 months apart. So amazing!
