Foster Care

-Where are you in the process right now (just thinking, home study, waiting for match, etc.)
We have our first placement.

-Anything new and exciting happening this month in your process?
We had a mediation this month and met our foster son's birth parents for the first time. I was really nervous meeting them, but it went smoothly. We also have some court dates coming up to determine permanency plan (it'll be a return home goal now since it's the first court date). Then we are told there is another court date to re-evaluate the permanency plan every 6 months.
