No. I mean like... I can't speak for everyone, maybe people will join you, but why do people come to TB only to "recruit" people to leave the site?

also I think it’s cool to stay connected. My last bmb fizzled out fast after birth so the fb group was awesome to stay in touch. Someone started early but no one left here until it fizzled as a whole

I never understand why people want to join a facebook group with COMPLETE strangers. Fb is so much more revealing with pictures and your whole name plus whatever else you have public on there. I moved to fb with my other BMB around the time babies were being born so we had weeded out all the people that won't stick around and the complete crazies. Also there is zero difference if you're due November 1-7 or November 21-28 after the first couple months. Some early November babies will be late, some late November babies will be early.... I really just don't get it. And again, holy stranger danger.

I think a Facebook group will be great down the road but agree - why try to recruit here?

No offense, but I’m definitely not comfortable sharing my personal identity yet. Plus it would be great if everyone joined one FB group vs several offshoots.

I was in a secret facebook group with my last pregnancy and it worked great. If you are not interested or comfortable, then please do not post your email. Some people just prefer Facebook. I’m not knocking this community by any means and I’m not on hear to argue. I think we all can agree that we do not need any added stress in our lives right now!

I LOVE my FB groups for both of my former BMBs...buuuuut, even waiting until the third trimester with one of them, we had the catfish of all catfish in our group, so I definitely don’t trust anyone enough yet for that, ha.

@ashkee05 Not trying to be annoying but I want you to be safe. Google your email address. I did and I found lots of your personal info. I'm not going to do anything with it, but I really don't think it's safe for you to post your email here. Maybe it doesn't bother you, but it seems pretty concerning to me, giving your address to strangers.

I did google and while one of my addresses is on there my current is not. all but one are linked to my family where I never even lived which is weird! But I deleted

@runningyogimama I had a catfish on my bmb! (July 14)  We didn't find out until after babies started being born!

@lifesabeach85 Oh, you know, former bump moderator back in th the day of moderating ourselves, who was a fellow admin of our FB group (that we screened carefully for) helped collect donation for a gift for a loss mama....pocketed hundreds of dollars for herself/rumor has it to buy a rocking chair, and disappeared off the face of the earth. We were legendary in a not so awesome way for awhile around here...... We never got our $ back/had to collect more money for the original gift.

@runningyogimama oh my gosh!! That's horrible!! How could someone be so terrible?!
My close friend had 2 back to back MC and her BMB from her first baby, got together and set up a months worth of meal deliveries for her. It made all the difference in the world to her and she felt so loved and supported.
 I can't believe someone would be selfish and cruel enough to take advantage of people like that, and take that support away from someone else!!

@runningyogimama not sure if that compares to my BMB Facebook group. I was part of the June 2012 group. I heard that all other boards knew about us. Turns out we didn't have just one catfish (with twin no less) but two. There was so much drama it was horrible and if you weren't friends with the right people, watch out! 

I would like to join another group because I think k it "can" be good, but I agree it would have be way down the line.

I agree-- would be up for a Facebook group but way down the road-- lots of us are still early in our first trimesters!
