So I’ve been procrastinating on returning a package and today is my last day to do it. I mostly procrastinated because i didn’t have packaging tap until this weekend. Well on my way out of the house this morning (all in car already), i told DH forgot it and needed to get it. He said no it’s fine he can get me some at work. Fine. Well he kept getting held up as soon as he got in and doesn’t tell me. I finally ask someone else where i can get some so i can do it myself. I take the package back and say I’ll go it and he gives me an attitude. He then comes back to get the package and calls me to lecture me. All i told him was to communicate! I have a deadline for it and it needs to be mailed! If he can’t do it fine but communicate. All of this could have been avoided if i just took a minute to run back into the house. It all comes back as me throwing a fit and attitude. So tired of this crap with him recently. Everyday is an argument.

@wildtot I'm sorry that you're struggling and your H isn't communicating, the everything being a battle/argument is an awful feeling. I hope your day improves.  

I already complained in randoms but I'm still really sick and I don't want to be at work today. I hate having to take antibiotics and haven't had to in years till now. I'm worried about how my hacking up a lung is impacting the baby, it's stressing me out.

Also, it seems like half of my Facebook friend are in Hawaii right now adding to me feeling like the loser in life with my pile of snot rags, zero energy and disgusting cough.

@runsomewhere I am right there with you.  I am sure baby is fine, but I know it's hard not to worry.

@wildtot GOD why can't Men communicate well?  And also that seems like he should have taken some of the blame for it.  At least owned up to the fact that he took forever, knowing that you are on a deadline.  Sorry you are having a rough time lately.  I think all marriages go through these.  

I saw a meme yesterday that said "It literally feels like January 74th".  YES.  I am so over the winter and this Midwest weather.  Today it's 30, tomorrow it's supposed to be 65 and rainy, and then back to cold Wednesday.  Meanwhile, I can already almost not breathe.  We really need to move......

@wildtot I asked DH to return my pregnancy pillow and today is the last day, needless to say he has not done it all week and blamed it on the box he got from work that was too small...I literally left him two tasks for while I was gone, one of which was paying rent, so I'm really hoping that thing is gone when I get back tonight! 

@runsomewhere oh no! Feel better! Antibiotics suck. I also have not had to take them in years. And all my friends in Italy are traveling somewhere this weekend because it's Easter and they have like 5 days off. 

My BF is of course the IRS, I mentioned we expected to pay what we did, actually more so ultimately it's good news, but it's always a pain to figure out how we can avoid such a blow!!! Thanks, California! 
The consolation is that DH made more than last year so overall that's good news for our growing family.

@kissableviv thank you for the reminder, totally forgot I haven't filed our taxes yet! We owe too, not a lot - we came within about $150 of breaking even - but I do not understand how so many people get these big refunds. I read he average person gets a 3k refund. I don't even understand how that's possible. We withhold extra from our paychecks and still owe every year. 

I guess my bitchfest is I called in sick even though I really was just super exhausted, and now that I'm rested, I don't know what to do. I always feel anxious and guilty about what I'm missing at work, and guilty about my son at daycare while I'm home, and I can't enjoy my day off. Also I want to eat all the food and am trying to be good.

@runsomewhere I had the same concern during coughing fits where I just can't breathe - but I drink some OJ or coffee and let him beat the crap out of my cervix for a while so I know he's fine lol  Fake it til you make it at work today.  You can do it
@wildtot We have the same fight all the time - why is communication so hard!?  Hang in there - I know my hormones hate my husband when I'm pregnant, so I'm trying to cut him some slack ;-)
@stlmegs I KNOW, RIGHT!? yesterday was 52 and i wore SANDLES, today it's white-out snow storm. DH asked on Thursday if I wanted to move back to FL...today i'm seriously considering it...

Unsolicited bump touch is now up to 3... Good morning to you too, MIL...
DD is getting her 2 year molars...she's miserable, we're miserable...also on pins and needles about if I'm going to FL or not for the weekend (u/s Thurs will be go/no-go)...can't even stress craft because we packed up most of my craft/office Friday   
And big BF at the "designers" for the IKEA kitchens - didn't listen to half the stuff I said (literally missed 2 walls for cabinets), and you have to schedule a call to discuss on the phone and they're all booked a week out and we only have 30 days to buy to lock in the sales price!!!

2 BF for me this morning:

1. I've come down with something. I'm congested and a severe sore throat. I've been drinking tea with honey and trying to rest. Starting to get a hacking cough. 

2. My step daughter...she is 23 and has NO drive for anything. She called out of work this weekend so that she could spend Easter with us. She only works 3 days a week. Sooo...money is needed. She then tells us at 5pm yesterday that the lady she lives with told her not to go home for the night (another dramatic story). So her dad tells her that she can drop her off by his work however she'll need to find a way home from there (she doesn't drive, no license). She walks into our room at 1:50am this morning with her cellphone light on, waking us up and causing the dogs to growl at her, only for her to tell us that her guy friend is on his way to pick her up and she doesn't want us to worry. FFS!!! So I get up because I need to make sure our doors are securely locked when she leaves. The guy doesnt show up until 330am!!! I explained to my step daughter that it is very nice of him to pick her up, it is extrmeely inconsiderate rude to be doing this at 330am. 

I'm exhausted and sick. Is it Friday yet?

@zombiehoohaa yeah, I can't really find many excuses for your step daughter!  No one likes being woken up at 3:30am and when your pregnant and uncomfortable any minute is precious!

As predicted, 3pm PST and DH has not returned the pillow yet. Kept bitching about the box not being big enough and told me the label actually said tomorrow as the last day (not so secretly trying to then put it on me...). I gave him 7 days to do it! He ended up getting it done but I wish he didn't give me all these updates about how difficult it was to return it. It was $70 so I definitely want my money back!

My BF is that after my dad showed up drunk two hours late to easter dinner, and then drove off to go back to Indiana hammered, I got a text from my bro this morning iwth the words, "so is dad still in jail or do we need to bail him out?"...he got picked up for a DUI because his car was in the median. He woke up in the median with no idea how he got there, and back at the station blew a .21. WHAT THE EFF?!?! My working theory is he passed out at the wheel and ended up in the median and was there for a few hours before he woke up and tried to pull out of the median...someone saw him stuck and called it in, or a cop saw him, and here we are. Blowing a .21 in NY state is an aggravated DUI, so he's in a lot of trouble. 

Also the truck people left their truck top and 4 giant tires in my garage and used the wood I was going to use to build my rabbitats to keep them off the ground!

@zombiehoohaa how annoying that he showed up at 3:30! That's crazy. @gingerbride26 the IKEA situation sounds like such a pain! I can imagine that having a deadline like that makes everything they miss more stressful than it already would be!

@stlmegs I have to laugh at this ridiculous midwest weather because here in VT we are getting low 50's/high 40s and sunny, some rain the next couple days but no snow, and my dad moved back to Indiana because he hated the weather here and now its snowing there. Crazy.

@SmashJam omg to all of that!! Hope your dad learned his lesson but how stressful! It was too good to be true to hear the truck stuff was resolved.

@SmashJam girl, the people in your family and alcohol. No wonder you have anxiety about it. Did anyone go bail him out? I’m glad he didn’t hurt himself or anyone else.

@SmashJam sorry to hear about your dad but glad he (and everyone else) is okay. Also you must have the patience of a saint for your friends (the truck people). Are they ever just going to give you your garage back??

@hillbillywife we can't bail him out, I kinda feel bad about it, but kinda don't because I'm a dick and he blew a .21 so jail time might be good for him to think his life plans out a bit and detox. BUT that being said since he is an out of towner and I live 7 hours away, I can't bond him out at the $200, someone would have to come pay $1000 cash to get him out, because they wouldn't hunt me down in Vermont to collect the rest of the bond. My bro lives in Indiana which is even further away. We have to redo our bathroom, starting like, this week, so we don't have $1000, and neither does he right now, so we'd basically be fronting him $1000 for the foreseeable future and we just can't do it. Plus his court date is April 11 and i dunno if he has license right now, in NY state aggravated DUI loses your license for a year, so if he gets out someone would have to drive him to NY on april 11 for his court date and then if they don't give him a conditional license, what would happen then? His car is in NY also so where ever he lands upon getting out of jail is where is car would be when they took his license on April 11 if they don't give him the conditional. So basically, regardless of how much it sucks, I think he needs to be in jail til April 11 for the convenience of the rest of the people in the family who will be shuttling him around.

@SmashJam I understand that. I have a brother who got into some trouble (not alcohol related) and ended up in jail in South Carolina. I live in PA, my mom lives in Washington. Neither of us could afford the bail money and risk losing it if he wasn’t being mature about the situation, which was a possibility. Luckily my dad, also in PA, had this weird wild hair and bailed him out. He has no problems affording the bail money but he’s like the least helpful person if you’re in a monetary bind. 

I hope this is a kick in the pants for him and he gets his life back on track a bit. I’m sorry you’ve been having to deal with this. I know you said you’re ok with him being in jail for a bit but it’s still hard

@SmashJam - I'm sorry.  my mom is an alcoholic but doesn't leave the house/drive, can't imagine if her shit show was mobile, you are a saint...  We also had a bit of a...boozey...Easter though not nearly as bad as yours, no cops just my mother's incessant mouth and comments - she still calls my 2 year old "it" and barely looks at her because she hates kids.  Made it 45 min before DH lost it on her and 4 hours total before getting back in the car and driving the hour home.

Also @kissableviv and Smashjam thanks for the support on the kitchen...just looked again and i'm pretty sure they shortened the kitchen by 14" and built a fake wall...apparently "we're turning that wall into a pony wall, to save on construction costs" translates to build a new f'n wall but leave the other one 14" behind it!?  Am I just hormonal for hating these designs? My arthritis is screaming today so I'd accept i'm just super cranky. Pics in spoiler. 

(I deleted the other 2 parts of the wall so I could see the f'n kitchen... the oven looks funky to me, they said they were going to shift it but that feels like a lot...also the gaping hole is for the microwave...)

Ugh sorry about the family drama @smashjam, I would not have bailed him out either in your situation. I hope he gets his act together without dragging you too much into the drama.

Wow @gingerbride26 - I'm sorry that your mom feels that way!  Most definitely her loss, but super stressful for you too  -yikes!  

I was pleasantly surprised by how little my family drank this year at Easter.  Typically there are at least 4-5 bottles of wine consumed at any holiday get-together, but there was less than 2 this year.  I actually sent wine home with people because bottles were opened and not finished - I'm obviously not going to drink them and DH left town for a week.

@MichelleAG05 thanks - we don't go up there much because of it..agreed her loss so I mostly just sing "let it go" on the car ride home ;-)  - took 30 years of growing up and a few years of therapy to get to that point lol you can't help someone who doesn't want help.  My dad is great and he'll leave mom at home and drive down to our place for Christmas/birthday so he doesn't miss them.

@gingerbride26 I'm sorry your mom feels that way. Family can be such a slog sometimes and so dramatic, I'm glad that your dad drives down for birthdays and holidays to be involved!
