@middleschoolmommy - I get being nervous something is wrong each time. I feel that way a day or two before my ultrasounds. I hope everything looks great today and the doc is on time!
@wildrainbow - I’m sorry for the spotting. I know it can be normal but I get being nervous. Hopefully your appointment comes quickly tomorrow and everything looks great with baby!

Everything is find with little one! HB was 147 AND I made it back to work just in time. I just had to eat my sandwich in front of 30 kids lol. I like this OB so much better than the other. I decided I'm breaking up with the other one.

Now I just have to keep my mind of the fact that I won't get to see lo again until April 25th -_- It's still to early for the home doppler, too.
AFM: My appointment was a quick in and out. Baby is measuring right on track. They did an abdominal ultrasound with no problem, so I'm hoping I'll be able to find the heartbeat with my doppler soon. I'm trying to let that reassure me with all the cramping happening today.

@wildrainbow I'm sorry to hear, I know you must be so worried. Try and stay positive. Hoping the time passes quickly until your appointment and sending good vibes your way!
When is your appointment? First official appt was this afternoon.
How far along will you be? 9W3D What is being addressed? Just a routine first appt. Comments/Questions/Concerns: Midwife said everything looked good. I asked about an early U/S since my **trigger** MC before DS did not happen naturally and we waited 4 weeks before taking meds.***end** She was totally fine with it and I have it Friday!
GTKY: Any special plans for Easter? If anyone is announcing today, please feel free to share pictures! We were flying back from vacation so no plans at all. My brother, sister in law and sister did an egg hunt and basket for DS for when we got home. It was cute of them.
Tomorrow is my appointment at 9:45am (EST). I am so nervous! My stomach is doing flips everytime I think about it. To make it worse, we are going to DC after the appointment. I really hope everything is okay and we can enjoy our mini family vacation.
@bfpafter4years we have the same appointment time, but different time zones LOL. Hope yours goes well! I'm trying to find balance between bracing myself and staying optimistic
Update: Everything looked great! We have a little sweet pea measuring 6+1, the gestational sac was measuring 6+3. And I should be 6+2 so I think everything is were it should be! The doctor said, "your body just takes longer doing everything". Our sweetpea was playing hide and seek though and didn't want to sit still too long! We did manage to get the heart beat at 109. The doctor said that is fine for early pregnancy and expects it to go up past 120 next week. So now I can relax and enjoy our trip! I will put a picture in the US thread.
Babe showed appropriate growth measuring 7w6d with a strong steady heartbeat of 154! Soooooo relieved. This is the first time I’ve actually heard the heartbeat. That whoosh whoosh whoosh has to be the sweetest sound. I cried.
My official due date is now Nov 16, which, if all goes well, will mean a late October delivery (I can’t go past 38 weeks as a T1D) Dr wants me to add calcium, vit D and baby aspirin to my prenatal vit and folic acid.
I head back back in a month for a 12 week fetal assessment. Until then it will be me and my endo battling blood sugars.
@prairiemomma82 We're due date twins! Congrats on hearing that beautiful heartbeat!
I just made my first appointment with my OB. I have to wait until the 26th (3 weeks from now!) Which is nerve-wracking.
My fertility doctor said I could come in for a couple more ultrasounds in between if it made me feel better, but I'm going to try to wait and stick it out, since I have to get someone to watch my twins (I try to be conscientious of the fact that it's an inferility clinic and seeing babies might be hard for other patients, plus handling them both while getting an ultrasound is basically impossible).
It's going to be a scary wait, since I'm used to having ultrasounds every week, but I think I'll be fine. Everything has looked good so far, so unless I have actual concerns between now and my appointment, I can put my PGAL/anxiety-ridden brain to rest. I hope.
Plus side is I'll get to see a huge leap in growth and development at my next ultrasound!
OMG!! I just had our urgent ultrasound due to the bleeding last night. The tech told me at the beginning that she wouldn't be giving me any info or results, and I would have to wait back in urgent care to get results from the doctor. We had a nice chat during the procedure, and at the end, she told me to get dressed and go get my husband and bring him in, because she took a video of baby! And she said I was almost right on and baby is measuring 9w1d! I burst into tears and thanked her profusely.
WE SAW THE HEARTBEAT GUYS!!!! And baby's little brain! and baby moving around! BEST FEELING EVER!!!!!! Both husband and I were crying. Well I was crying, he teared up.
How freaking amazing is it that we can grow humans?!?
Edit because I was so elated I made so many typeos
My appt today went awesome as well! We saw the yolk sac, which I yelled to the tech when it came up in the screen lol. It’s measuring 5w3d based off our scan on Monday. Our follow up is on the 16th so we should definitely be able to see the heartbeat by then. It just looks like the dates were off a little. So freaking happy and getting one step closer to this being it.
My appt went amazing! U/s showed our little bean measuring 8w4d, that's 4 days ahead of where I thought I was, with a bpm of 164! I got to hear the hb!! Best. Sound. Ever! I'm over the moon. Our little miracle is proving to be super strong! H was upset he couldn't be there, but he was consoled with a pic of our tadpole as he called it.
I’m so glad you ladies have doctors who actually care and take care of you when you have spotting/bleeding/concerns. TW— my very first pregnancy back in 2012, I started spotting and it steadily got worse. When I called my doctor I was seeing at that time, shaking and crying, he told me “Well there’s nothing you can do about it so either wait it out or go to the hospital”. Now OBVIOUSLY there isn’t anything you can do about a miscarriage, but I was so taken aback by his lack of compassion and sympathy... it made the entire experience even more traumatic. No calming words, no recommendations, no offers to help....Needless to say, when I got pregnant with my DD, I found a new doctor.
@pink_polkadots Did you report him for awful bedside manner? I don’t think there’s anything to be said for medical professionals who are good at their jobs but have zero people skills. I just don’t care. Find a new profession.
