Re: Team Green Roll Call
The only people I'm pissing off are or best friends and my sister. They are impatient and found out with their kids, so they get annoyed that we are waiting.
I think it's a boy, but maybe that's because we already have a girl and this pregnancy hasn't been like my other.
Nursery is going to be used again for this baby, so the furniture is white with clean lines. Nothing overly masculine or feminine. Hard wood floors with a blue throw rug. With DD we brought in some coral pillows and blankets and more feminine crib sheets. Totally easy to turn a neutral room more gender specific.
Steadfast! I've made it this far, I do have a follow up AS this week and the temptation isn't even there, whew!
SIL is PO'd, BFF's x2 are PO'd, SO is borderline so I'm racking up some points here

Today I say boy, Holiday eating will be happening so lets guess big boy.

Reusing DD1's Little Lamb Set by sweet JoJo.. I still love it! (Stock Pic)
At first I thought it was a girl but now I’m fully convinced I’m having a boy!
No bargains recently! We did score an auto R&P a few weeks ago for less than $60 so I was pretty happy.
No nursery for us, baby will be in our room!
Any guesses by you or SO?
I'm convinced its a boy. DH thinks its a girl. I have this weird and unreasonable thing where I've always imagined myself as a girl mom, so I've convinced myself that I'm having a boy ahead of time so I can just be happy instead of weirdly disappointed.
Any good neutral finds lately?
Not particularly? Im not really shopping much until after my shower in May.

was supposed to be grey but the color turned out a little more steel grey/blue. I still like it though. Doing green accents and white furniture.

Steadfast! Always get worried someone is going to blow it during an ultrasound but it hasn't happened yet. Anatomy scan is in 10 days so we should be good after that. No one is annoyed this time since we just went team green about a year and a half ago. People still think it's strange that we can hold out but there are so few surprises in life!

I I had a dream last night that I had a baby boy. But the baby looked exactly like an acquaintance's baby boy. That's the only inkling either of us have had.

We found a coming home onesie the other day at target which happened to match exactly how we recently decided to decorate the nursery.
Neutral Nursery colors/ Inspiration?
for DD, we decorated with a Where The Wild Things Are theme and I love her room. We wanted to go for another book theme so we are going to do Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr Seuss. We are planning to sell our house and move within the next few months so I haven't gotten anything for it yet but at least I have something planned, right?
Hello from Detroit!
Had the anatomy scan and I (even as a nurse who has seen more than my fair share of ultrasounds plus 3 of my own kids i saw the parts on) didn’t see for certain any part. I told the tech we didn’t want to know and she was pretty good about not zooming in there. At one point she was close and I was looking, however...I didn’t see an obvious penis and I also didn’t see an obvious triple crown or hamburger as they call it lol! So I don’t know! I still feel like it’s a girl, and my sickness and aversions tell me it’s a girl. With my son I had severe HG so I think if it were a boy I would be vomiting a whole lot like I did with him.
So so many people hate hearing we are waiting to find out! It’s surprising how people react. I always thought it was cool when people did it!
Hubby said he thought he saw a penis when the tech first started, but then said he may not have and didn’t see anything after. He also thinks all ultrasounds look like blobs and couldn’t tell when she showed us the baby’s face what it was. So I don’t trust his opinion lol!
Its our first time team green and he was apprehensive at first even flat out said no way we need to find out but changed his mind a few weeks later and then was excited!
Pretty steadfast right now. Our doctor wishes we were finding out lol. But since we aren’t she won’t either. So far no one has said much. I think everyone is too focused on healthy to worry much about it yet.
Our anatomy scan is Friday. That may test our resolve.
Any guesses by you or SO? ( This can change like underwear)
Not really. Doc is guessing girl. I’m leaning a tiny bit towards girl. DH wants a boy. But like I said so far focus is really on healthy.

Not really. It’s tough.

Nursery is grey, yellow, and white. Semi inspired by a baby Wolverine print we found. Our babies get super hero nicknames when they are inside babies. This one is Wolverine. The drawing is off getting framed right now.

Hello from Detroit!
Mostly staying steadfast, although the urge to know for clothing purchases has been mighty tempting. And to see how the list of "Old Wives Tales" my friend is putting me through is matching up. lol
I'm really pissing off my in-laws, mother in law and sister in law especially. They both have zero patience though. You should have heard his mom on the phone as he was telling her all the details about the anatomy scan last week, she's got a loud voice that carries anyway, but just hearing that "Argh!" from across the room when he told her we couldn't see it anyway and still don't want to know was enough to firmly shove my ass back into Steadfast Mode.
And like @doctormom33 with my mom, her not knowing has kept her purchasing to nil, which is good. Her tastes and mine when it comes to clothing has never meshed and I'm trying to keep her from frivolously spending money already. So this definitely keeps her in check a great deal.
On the other hand my OB was beyond excited that we're deciding to wait till it's born. He said with everyone finding out as soon as they can it ruins the fun and surprise in the delivery room anymore, and that was one of the best parts for him, watching the parents reactions to finding out what it is. So he's glad we're holding out.
Other acquaintances who know I'm pregnant seem mildly inconvenienced to not know as well, which seems odd to me.
Any guesses by you or SO? ( This can change like underwear)
I'm thinking it's a boy based on food cravings (salty/sour), but I honestly have no idea. Murphy's Law is probably going to make it a girl because it knows how much I'd like to use my deceased father's name in a boy's name.
My husband, when asked what he thought it might be went into a whole rant about how stupid it is to guess, it doesn't matter to him, and we'll find out when we find out. So...

Just bought a lightly used neutral colored Rock n Play for $10. Gender neutral anything has been hard to find used. Most of them are gender color matched. Which seems cute at the time, I guess if you're into that sort of thing, until you realize it's a thing your baby uses, that really doesn't matter what color it is, and if you have more kids down the line might look silly. Or maybe I just don't understand the appeal with pink/blue matched items that aren't clothing/bedding.
I found a Sweet Pea onesie on Amazon that'll be the "going home" outfit. My first pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage I nicknamed "Peanut", because the first ultrasounds looked like a little peanut in there. But this one's first pictures looked like a sweet pea, so that's what we've been calling it, "Sweet Pea".

We don't have a nursery as we're looking to move houses later this summer. But if I did it was going to be grey/greige/soft green walls with a woodland creature/nature theme (as it fits our personalities).
The day of our anatomy scan I did have a moment where I felt a little curious at how easy it would be to just find out, but that didn't last long and we are still solidly team green! I work with a few people who clearly are very stressed out by the fact we are not finding out, they comment every few days about how "relaxed" we are haha. Most people are super excited about the surprise aspect.

Both hubby and I think it's a girl!

I was given some great hand me downs from a friend who also was team greens. Loving all the neutral stripes and beige/grey/white styled stuff. Will be easy to add a little colour to the mix when baby comes.

We are house shopping currently and expect to move before baby gets here, so I have been interesting neutral nurseries but nothing started yet. I like Scandinavian design, so probably lean towards whites and natural wood in the nursery/furniture. Hoping to get a beautiful plush rug for a pop of colour. Definately a more modern style is our jam.
I am standing strong!
My sister is not pissed per say but she wants to know what clothes she can bring to town when she drives up in June. She told me to have the Dr. write it down and seal it in an envelope and send it to her so she knows. Ummm nope. If i don't know no one is gonna!

I think boy. But, I am starting to lean towards girl and I think it is because I like our girls name so much better than our boys. Not that I hate the boy name I just love our girl name so much.
DH hasn't really guessed.
Any good neutral finds lately ( Bonus for pics/ links)
Not really. I just have been buying boy onesies that are as neutral as I can find.

Outer space. Gray walls and dark blue ceiling. If i get super motivated I might paint some planets and rockets on the ceiling as well.
Hello from Detroit!
We are staying green! This is #2 so I know we can make it through again without finding out.
Any guesses by you or SO
I have said another boy (#2) from day one. DH said girl because he secretly wants one. We had our anatomy scan yesterday and after DH said to me "Now, I'm not saying I saw a penis but... I think I saw a penis" haha. So now he is thinking boy too.
Any good neutral finds lately?
Everything we have is neutral from #1 already, thankfully!

Our nursery for DS (team green for) is safari animal themed, so will stay the same for #2!
