I cringed hard when I saw the circumcision thread. I’m proud of how civil and respectful all participants were, though. I’ve seen that topic turn into a shitshow on more than one occasion.
@ecwk - Right?!? I'm so proud of us! I did kind of expect a bunch of people to start posting from other boards though since it is a hot topic. But it was a good conversation!
FFFC: I always get super annoyed when people at work bring fish for lunch then microwave it (blech!) because you can smell it for hours after. I brought leftover shrimp for lunch and I fully plan to heat it up then run like hell so they don't know it's me. I'm a hypocrite today and I'm ok with it
A spicy FFFC: Libido is OUT. OF. CONTROL. I have never experienced this type of drive, like ever. DH I think is at his sexy-time limit and this morning popped out of bed so fast and ran to go make coffee, lol.
I'm wearing a baseball cap and pigtails at work today. Zero fucks given.
I am a professor and my campus is closed today for the holiday. But my work never stops and so I'm here anyways (sadly, I'm the only one.) Anyhow, I knew this would be the case and I dressed comfortably and with no shame today. And then a family from out of town rolls up wanting to talk with faculty about their son's desire to come here. And I'm the only one here! So I got to give a tour (on my supposed day off) all while looking like a complete slob!

So I brought leftover takeout to work the other day and didn't heat it up because it had shrimp in it. I hate that, too!
@vinerie - your FFFC made me laugh! On that note, I had my first pregnant sex dream last night and it's like my libido is waking up after hibernation lol!
Maybe I'm weird, okay, I am, but whatever...I actually prefer to eat leftover meats cold. I'll nuke the veggies/sides, but the meat always ends up tough or rubbery, or overcooked (think rare steak). lol
When I lived in Texas I had a love/hate relationship with crawfish season. My office was across the hall from the breakroom so I always knew when there was fish around. The worst by far is crawfish. When you're eating them that's cool, but when you're not and the people in the breakroom are it's pretty effing awful.
I'm totally guilty of the hard boiled eggs. I'm a pretty terrible food-at-work person actually A group of us used to get takeout sushi and bring it back to work (pre-preg) I never gave it a second thought because I was too busy stuffing my face lol!
My kid was supposed to be punished with no tv for leaving her crayons out where DS could get them, but I let her watch a show so I could eat an ice cream sandwich without having to share with her/ have her bug me about wanting some.
I’ve tried to listen to a few podcasts with hosts and guests mostly from Canada, but I couldn’t stand the accents. I don’t feel that way about all Canadian accents, but I guess these people were from a place with really thick accents, I guess? I feel kinda bad about it.
Yeah that's probably referring to my KFC comment on randoms but meh. Flame me. I don't eat crappy foods often so once in a while I'm down for some fast food crap. Also, @livinthesunnylife, Taco Bell is hella good.
@livinthesunnylife@calimom2524 No, neither of those! I can't remember who it was now, but one that particularly disturbed me was garlic bologna. It has stuck in my mind for days. It's haunting me. Giving me the shudders.
I'm definitely guilty of eating really badly too - I had Taco Bell for 2nd dinner not too long ago - but some things just literally turn my stomach and garlic bologna was definitely one of them. Even just typing it out, I can't help but make a face. There have been some other ones too that I can't think of off the top of my head, but that one caused the most visceral reaction for me.
Lol yeah @juliebird6 that one was gross to me too. There have been other things mentioned that have made me shudder but I'm sure I eat weird shit too haha
It wasn’t me that posted about garlic bologna but I definitely saw regular bologna at the store last week and had to have it. I happily ate bologna and cheese sandwiches for lunch last week. Sorry @juliebird6
@LC12261012 I always forget when I take away stuff, too. No tv tomorrow! Tomorrow comes and I turn it right on. Oh well.
My FFFC: I’m thinking about getting a small glass of wine at the steakhouse tonight. We have a date for my bday but I don’t know if I’ll actually do it. Seems too risky but man I’d love a cab with my steak.
@ladygali drink the wine. I know others don't agree but I drank it with both previous pregnancies sparingly and in small amounts and it was a lovely treat.
@ladygali Get the wine! I would. We are going to a brewery tonight and I just can't get on board with ordering a beer, but wine is a different story. Man, wine and steak sounds so amazing.
I had about 1/2 a beer Wednesday after our super stressful day at work (coworker walked out zero notice). I would have had the whole thing but it was sip o sunshine and like 8+%
I can't justify alcohol to myself during pregnancy, but I've been drinking more coffee this week. I've been over the 300mg recommendation at least twice. I quit caffeine completely in the first trimester, but there isn't much to suggest that caffeine has significant effects on pregnancy at all, and I've been needing the boost!

I don't drink during my pregnancies. But that's because I don't ever just want 4oz of wine. That's like having a bite of a cookie. No thanks, I'll pass if I can't have the whole cookie. Just my opinion, I don't judge anyone else for their choices.
I had a shit week...I completely plan on eating my feelings tonight and have no shame. I will feel shame when I have to stand on the scale at the doctor's office next week. I did so well the first trimester and the last few weeks have sucked.
@livinthesunnylife That's really the only thing that's kept me from drinking at all so far. All of the days when I *really* want something to drink, 4 oz is just not going to cut it so I opt for some naughty dessert instead.
I've been eating so many carbs. And when i try to cut it out i just rebound and end up eating even more because i get so hungry. I think I've eaten a family size box of fruit loops and most of a family size box of cinnamon toast crunch in about a week. Stuck wearing two pagers on my pants right now and between them and my quickly expanding abdomen, my scrub top is getting stupid tight since its not stretchy at all. Excuse me for the non-HDBD bump pic for illustration.
I generally agree with the ‘what’s the point of a small glass/beer’ thinking but after no alcohol at all since like thanksgiving and a really stressful day, that 1/2 beer was soooooo nice. It was a little relaxing and just... what I needed. I didn’t feel it, which I obviously wasn’t going for lol, but it was totally worth it.
Not something id do all the time but once in a while I’m ok with it.
That’s been my feeling for the most part on alcohol - most days I want it 4oz just isn’t going to cut it! I never indulged with DS. This time around I had a few sips when wine tasting in Malibu because good wine + Malibu. My SIL is visiting and opened a good bottle tonight she brought and her and I share a love of red wine. I poured myself a small glass. Probably like an ounce, maybe 2? I nursed it, but damn did it taste good.
