Not so hidden, but pre-pregnancy I was an amateur burlesque dancer. I've done a few performances in the city and at Coney Island. I also was a stage kitten a few times (I picked up the clothing/dollars/opened and closed the curtains). I can bump, grind, and (my favorite) tassel/assel twirl. I also make my own costumes and accessories- I made a capelet last summer, and I can rhinestone like a champ.

That's awesome @jsnakehole I love burlesque, it's so sexy and fun to watch.
I guess mine is that I can mimick the pee wee herman laugh and my family thinks it's the best thing ever. I can also knit and I can master most thing on Pinterest.
I'm not really sure I have real talents. I have a good short term memory for organizing fitness choreography hahaha I can play softball. I'm an excellent multitasker. I like to think I am a hip hop rapper from the 2000's some days in my car LMAO
I can tell you who sings a song and what the songs name is from the 80’s and 90’s usually just by hearing the first 10 seconds. I also love to sing and was in a lot of state choirs in high school now I just hold performances in my car
@jsnakehole Fun! I know a few burlesque dancers. It always looks like a lot of fun.
Kind of in the same vein, and not really so hidden, but I'm a belly dancer. I do a lot of tribal fusion belly dance, but I've also done egyptian style as well. I've performed at shows around town, but haven't done any restaurants. It's my bucket list to dance at our renaissance festival

You would definitely win those contest that the radio stations have.
@jsnakehole that's awesome! I'd love to take burlesque classes one day.
@calimom2524 we're going to need video proof of that ability once we show our identities on fb! DS is obsessed with Pee Wee's Playhouse on Netflix, especially the Christmas special haha.
I danced for 18 years in nearly every style except Irish and I totally fail at hip hop. I can still knock out some tap routines, double pirouettes, and a couple of N'Sync's dances using their actual choreography because I was/am a nerd I'm also a pinterest pro for a lot of things, and related to that, I seem to have a natural talent (or maybe it's my art school background) for decorating cakes and cookies. I'd love to take some actual cake decorating classes one day, I've just done it for DS's birthday parties and people were always shocked when I said I did them myself.

I took a bunch of ceramics classes during undergrad. Nothing profressional or anything, but my house is full of vases and sculptures that I made that im pretty proud of! I also sew and am currently making a quilt! (See the nursery thread)
@jsnakehole I took a burlesque class once and felt completely out of place. That is a seriously awesome talent.
Mine is in the same vein as @doctormom33. I have an art background and can throw on the potters wheel really well. I've made things for family and friends, and could probably sell my own stuff if I had a personal studio. I'm also really good at remembering names.
@7425cait totally envious that you can remember names! I'm TERRIBLE at it, especially with mommy/pregnancy brain.

I'm pretty decent at target and skeet shooting. Pre-baby I shot competitively for fun. A slight nod to my backwoodsy upbringing, but it's something that H and I can do together as well.
@7425cait I'm pretty good with names too. But I don't think it's a natural talent- more of a teacher survival skill.
I wrote a paper about burlesque in college (I also love the movie 'Gypsy') and when I was researching I found out there was a school of burlesque in NYC. I always like trying weird hobbies (I also do stand-up comedy), and missed performing, so when I finally had money for classes I started taking them and loved it. I don't think I'm particularly sexy or sensual but (*TW* as a sexual assault/abuse survivor *end TW*) reclaiming my sexuality on my own terms was really important to me and burlesque helped me do that. It's also such a body positive, empowering community full of badass women (and some awesome Boylesque performers), and the shows are so much fun. If anyone wants to see a show if they ever visit NYC, hit me up for recommendations!

@calimom2524 you and I can have an Eminem rap battle so @jsnakehole your talent wins. That’s so cool!! And @hezzer78 too! My talent is that I’m a good singer. Not too interesting! I’m also pretty good at doing different accents!
@jsnakehole That's pretty cool! I am so not an exhibitionist, so I'm not sure I could do it even for my husband. Heh
I'm not sure if it's a hidden talent or not, but everyone always seems amazed that I deer hunt and do all of the "gross work" myself. I'm not a prissy, girly girl, and have always been a tomboy, so I'm amazed that people are amazed. Heh
For me it's part of the whole respect for life thing, I did the deed and I owe it to the animal to do what's right. It's like setting right the cosmic scale, I guess. Having a Native American godmother instills some good lessons.
I can white water raft and kayak, and I have a really good memory. I remember most life events and details of anything that happened after my second birthday. It regularly alarms my mom

AFM, I can rope and ride with the best of them. I have done a small time PBR rodeo, and when time allows train barrel and roping horses for my friends/former students.

Ooh! I thought of a better one than my Super Nintendo skills. I am alarmingly good at facial recognition. I have to stop myself from doing a "I know you Hello" because where I'll recognize someone from 15 years ago, that isn't really normal and they won't recognize me. DH is always surprised at my ability for this and it comes in handy when we are wondering what that guy in this movie is from.
@derbysquirrel Kayaking is so much more difficult than it looks! DH and I attempted this when we were in Hawaii and pretty much failed. Do you go single or with other people?
@rocknrrollmom I solo unless in a tandem inflatable on class 3s or below. My dad is a fishing guide in Oregon, and my mom rows a raft and kayak. I got my first kayak for my 5th birthday, and started rowing the raft as a teen.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
I used to target shoot competitively in high school. I shot in a few .22 caliber team matches with my team, and we usually won. We were mostly girls, and it was fun to show the boys that girls can do a typical “guy” sport well. I shot a 500 yard match with my ex bf’s AR shooting team once and took 2nd place in the junior competition. I beat everyone but one guy on his team.
I used to hunt more before DS was born, but it’s hard to hunt with a baby or little kid. Lol. So now DH does most of the hunting, and we both do the “gross” stuff and processing. I still love to fish, though, and I’m pretty good at it. I can’t wait to get the kayaks out this year and catch some fish before I’m too big to get in & out of the kayak. I’ve never flipped a kayak, not sure if that’s a superpower.
Useful hidden talents: I can play violin, guitar, some percussion, and I’m a pretty damn good singer. I can bake and decorate cakes/cookies/cupcakes. My biscuits would make you drool.
Not so useful hidden talents: I can touch my nose with my tongue and tie a cherry stem in a knot in my mouth. LOL!
Dang, we have some pretty talented ladies here!! I'm super envious of some of these skills! I'm sitting here like I can't dance, only I think I can sing, I'm not crafty, I was really good at sports, but that was ages ago.....
I have an insane memory. I can remember days/months of certain events that happened years ago. My family and friends often come to me when they need info on something from a long time ago. I also am really good at memorizing numbers. Phone numbers just stick in my head and I still remember friends' from back in middle school high school.
I also can fit my whole fist in my mouth. I mean, not sure this is a 'talent' and it won't get me very far in life, but most people find it pretty amusing.

I'm oddly good at memorizing things
