Re: 1st Trimester Check In | Week of March 26th
13 weeks, 1 day / October 1st! Last week on First Tri so if anyone would like to take over this thread next week go for it!
How are you feeling?
I have been feeling great this last week- morning sickness has decreased a lot! Saturday was a bit rough with a lot of dizziness.
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
We found out late last week that we are having a baby girl!! So excited!
My next OB appt is April 2nd!
Thoughts/Concerns?
Nothing really!
Questions?
Can't think of anything
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!)
For nausea- preggie pop drops, tummy drops, seabands
Earl Grey tea to replace my coffee (coffee aversion) in the morning!
LaCroix or sparkling water
Cravings- Pretzels, popcorn, fruit, sweets
How far along are you? / EDD 11+1/ Mid-Sept due date with Twins
How are you feeling? Comes and goes in waves. Last week was awful for morning sickness but lessened a little over the weekend. I was so tired on Sunday though that I barely got off the couch!
Any recent/upcoming appointments? My NT scan is tomorrow (Tuesday, 27th). It's been 3 weeks since my last scan and I'm just SO nervous something has gone wrong. No particular evidence of that, but still scared out of my mind. It's going to be a long 24 hours!
Thoughts/Concerns? Morning sickness seems to be getting better which I'm hoping is just an end of the 1st trimester thing and not something bad!

QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!) For nausea, peppermints. Otherwise just ALL THE CARBS.

6 weeks 4 days / November 15
How are you feeling?
I'm feeling better today physically and mentally. Last week I was a mess emotionally. My mood swings were terrible. I felt nervous, scared, and worried that I wasn't experiencing any symptoms. Then on Friday and Saturday I was super nauseous and could barely eat or stand the site or smell of food. Needless to say, I'd never been happier to feel as awful as I did! Much better today, and only 4 more sleeps until I get to see our baby on our first ultrasound!
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Yes! Friday we have our first ultrasound and discharge appointment from out RE.
Thoughts/Concerns?
Just need to make it to Friday's ultrasound!
Questions?
Any second time mommies not feeling any breast tenderness? With my first, my boobs were sore right at 5 weeks. I read on a few other places that it's normal to not have any pain in subsequent pregnancies especially if you breastfed.
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!)
Honestly, my appetite has been way down. And I'm struggling to drink enough water. But I have yet to say no to cookies and ice cream haha.
4w+6/November 28
How are you feeling?
Some sore boobs, heartburn, exhaustion,
minor food aversions and slight nausea.
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
I had 3 betas last week so I can finally relax now- I see my RE on April 9th for my first US.
Thoughts/Concerns?
I feel like they are doing everything so early, but it is my first pregnancy and I got pregnant via IUI, so maybe that is why? I wish they’d wait longer for the US, I’m freaked out I won’t be able to see anything.
Questions?
When did you do your first US?
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!)
Fries and PB cookies ☺️

Feeling awful at the minute. Have a horrible cough/cold (on day 5 of this)
I have my NT scan today so I'm excited to see baby today.
@eabrahamson I had my first ultrasound through the fertility doctor at 6 weeks 1 day. That was after checking my betas were doubling every 2 days until I reached 1500 ( which was around 5 weeks). We ended up seeing a heartbeat at that ultrasound.
Craving hot tea and hot soup. Probably due to thus cold.
How far along are you? / EDD
6 weeks 4 days today, EDD 11/17/2018
How are you feeling? A little heartburn but otherwise completely fine.
Any recent/upcoming appointments? I had my first ultrasound today which showed one baby with a heartrate of 141.
Thoughts/Concerns? Where do I start?? It's taken me a long time to get here and I'm happier than I've been in the four years I've been struggling to conceive. I'm so worried that I will lose this peanut and am not sure how I would handle that at this point. For today, I'm just going to be happy that there's a possibility of a baby in 33 weeks and 3 days.

Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Midwife appointment on Thursday. Should get my NIPT results this week, too!
Thoughts/Concerns?
not yet, but it’s still early in the morning
Questions?
Anyone else on iron supplements? They just told me to start them and to take them with vitamin c. Wondering if just orange juice will work? My tummy’s not a fan of vitamin c tablets.
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!)
cheezeits, bubbly water, satsumas, carbs!
@radmom27 welcome! I’m with you on the worry, but try not to think about it. *possible TW* Most of the BMBs have a thread that lists the percent likelihood of not having an early mc by day/week. On the days I was feeling really worried, that helped!
Update after my ultrasound yesterday: Two beautiful, healthy looking twins still! Holy cow, they finally look like real babies!! I had so many early ultrasounds where you couldn't see much, it was great to see actual human looking babies this time! They are actually measuring about 3 and 4 days ahead as well.
My OB doesn't automatically do NT scans, but I've asked for one. Just need to make sure my insurance will cover it but if so they'll do that for me next week. The tech yesterday said she didn't see anything concerning, but it would just give me some extra peace of mind.
I promised myself if I made it through this scan I was going to stop worrying SO much and try to relax and enjoy this pregnancy a little. I'm sure that's going to be easier said than done, but I've been such a nervous wreck I really need to try!

@halfanewt I was on Iron my last pregnancy and likely will be again, I can't remember taking vitamin C with then hmm.. Orange Juice would probably be ok. Tomatoes, potatoes and leafy greens also have Vit. C. I looked it up and it says Vitamin C helps with Iron absorption. Check your prenatal- it might already have it!
@dragonfly6191 Great news on the ultrasound!
So a friend of a friend (we've hung out a few times with mutual friends), reached out because they have been suffering from IF for five years
@chicandbubbly this is just my personal opinion/experience, but the worst "pregnancy announcements" for me were the ones where people went out of their way to tell me in person. Partly because it made it seem like such a big deal, and partly because then I had to react in front of them. For me, it was always easier to find out from facebook- because then I didn't have to specifically react/respond to them personally. Or at least, something like a fb message or text so I could at least gather my thoughts privately. Just my two cents!
All of this played a huge role in my own FB announcement, as excited I was to make it I knew I was probably going to ruin at least one person's day, and it made me really sad. If I had a SUPER close friend that was also struggling, I probably would have reached out to her via message or text before the announcement, but I think if this isn't a super close friend you can do whatever feels best to you. I actually think in this case since they are just starting the process, the fact that you were successful might be encouraging.

12 weeks, 6 days. 10/6/18.
How are you feeling?
I feel pretty good! The nausea has mostly passed. Can't say I'm getting any energy back yet.
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
I heard back about the genetic screening blood test I did last week, and everything looks good. Phew!
Thoughts/Concerns?
My brother's long time girlfriend is pregnant, about 17 weeks I think, and I just found out that my stepsister is 15 weeks. SO crazy that the three of us will (hopefully) have babies within a month. Of course mine will be the most special because I worked the hardest for it. J/K.
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!)
The usual carbs and sweets, sparkling water, ice water, preggie pop drops (not sure if they helped the nausea for longer than a few mins, but damn are they tasty), saltines. I got really bored with sparkling water for a bit and made a ginger-lime syrup to stir in. That was key for a few weeks.
3 IVF retrievals.
PGS and PGD results from 9 embryos: 1 genetically normal embryo.
April 2017 transfer. BFP! M/C 11 weeks.

How are you feeling?
Physically fine, sore boobs.

I am anxiously awaiting my first ultrasound 4/10
Thoughts/Concerns?
YES! I’m so worried about this baby staying put! I had a miscarriage with my last FET and this one (last chance) is a day 7 blast which the doctor has deemed only a 30% chance of success. I just can’t shake this fear of every cramp and I’m constantly checking the toilet to be sure there’s no blood. I’m really hoping the ultrasound will calm me down!
Questions?
Did you all experience this type of fear? How did you get past it? Also, my HCG levels were 144 and 268 earlier this week. I’ve googled the heck out of it bc it is much lower than the last time for me. Anyone have similar numbers?
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far?
Nothing yet.
@smillsy just dropping in to say I'm totally with you on the fear. Had my first beta yesterday at 97... the nurse said it was good but I know it's a low number and I still have a wall of disbelief up until we see that number rise. 2nd beta on Wednesday.
Hoping so much for you that you can relax and this little one sticks around for you and your family.

@smillsy @ChristenMA83 I'm not an expert, but both of your beta levels sound good. My clinic told me they want anything above 50 on 9dp5dt, then they want it to double (or at least rise 150%) in 48 hours.

Anxiously awaiting my first ultrasound on April 11th. I feel like I’ll be able to take a breath after that. My first beta was 10dp6d at 390 and second beta was 1197 at 12dp6d so I feel ok with those numbers. Fingers and toes crossed!

looks like we're all on pretty much the same timeline; FX that this magic keeps happening! Looking forward to hearing how all of your US's go next week!
How are you feeling?
mostly ok; cramping and lower back pain here and there; mild breast soreness
Any recent/upcoming appointments?
I had my first 2 betas last week, waiting for first US tomorrow
1st - Wed. 14dp5dt 966
2nd - Fri. 16dp5dt 2005
I was super excited by my beta results, but I also realize they were kind of late; not sure why my clinic wanted to wait so long. On previous cycles, the longest I've waiting for my 1st beta was 12 days post transfer, but this one was a full 2 weeks.
Thoughts/Concerns?
I am beyond excited, but I also just keep waiting for something bad to happen! The 2-day wait btw my first betas was excruciating b/c I really felt like my numbers weren't going to go up and that I would start AF any minute. It's been really hard to focus on anything at work.
@smillsy I've been dealing with the same fear, and I've been looking stuff up on the internet pretty much nonstop! I don't really know how to settle down. I was actually really scared Saturday b/c when I woke up, my breasts weren't sore at all! It eventually came back, but I can't stand being so hyper-aware of everything I'm feeling in my body! It's exhausting!
@eabrahamson I feel like my US is really early as well. I'm going in tomorrow which is 5 weeks +4. I'm not sure why they wanted to bring me in so early. From what I've read online, it's possible we could see the heartbeat tomorrow, but most places wait til week 6 or 7. I will keep my FX crossed that you see everything you're supposed to!!
Questions?
Does anyone have helpful tips for keeping your mind off of baby and actually functioning like a responsible adult?
QOTW: What have been your pregnancy "must-haves" so far? (Could be anything from certain products to cravings!)
Really just naps - I've been exhausted!
