IVF Questions

We are undergoing IUI right now but are going to have an initial IVF consultation soon so we can be deciding if it is the right thing for us if IUI does not work. So what questions did you ask or wish you'd asked when you first began considering IVF? Any help appreciated.

I'd ask to see what kind of timeline you are looking at for IVF. Some times it can can up to 3 months if doing a frozen transfer with PGS / PGD testing. Also ask if the doctor would want you to do a fresh or frozen and if they suggest you to do PGS. See if there are more tests you need ran that you may not have already, like a hysteroscopy, mock transfer, genetic carrier screening, etc. Ask what odds / % for your situation that IVF will give you. Also helps to know the costs of course of it all if are OOP...I had to talk to the clinics financial counselor about that. Usually your doctor will know around how much $ medications will run you. Every doctor is difference and has different protocols, so try to ask as many ?'s as you can!
