@calimom2524 @legallykate I loved the books, but no one in my life was willing to shell out $82 for a doll for me! My favorite was Samantha, but I also really liked Felicity. I'm pushing the books on my 3rd grade niece now.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
Ohhh I also loved Sweet Valley High Books and the Babysitter's Club. I even went so far as to watch the movies that came out. I wish I still had those books, too! My favorite game was also Mall Madness. A shopping mall that talks to you? Yes, please.
1. 10 years ago what were you doing in life? nothing good lol
2. What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?(bonus for a pic) I liked all those science kits and bead making/art kits the most.
3. Do you still own any VHS tapes or cassette tapes? I don’t think so.
4. Name your favorite past childhood TV Show. I really enjoyed Gilligan’s island.
5. What do you wish was around today (like a food brand or toy brand) that isn't anymore? Surge, I don’t think that’s around anymore and Yoohoos are starting to be hard to find!
6. What would you consider your growing up years? 70s, 80s, 90s? Do you miss those years? 90s. And Sometimes when I don’t want to be an adult and have responsibilities.
1. 10 years ago what were you doing in life? Finishing up my first year of college, living in NYC, working at a little Broadway show called In the Heights (you might have heard of its creator/star, Lin Manuel-Miranda).
2. What was your favorite toy when you were a kid? Barbies, American Girl dolls, Lee Middleton dolls, and I loved riding my bike. Oh yeah, and skip its!!! I broke like 3 of them because we used them so much, and my dad finally used some rope to fix it, which made it way more fun because it'd wrap around your leg when you stopped it
3. Do you still own any VHS tapes or cassette tapes? Yes. #hoarder I am pretty sure I still have all of my old Disney movies at my parents' house. A lot of my old dance videos are on VHS, as well as home movies. And until a year ago, I had a 1997 car that had both a tape deck and a cd player, so I had some tapes in my car. I think I finally donated those when I got my new car though.
4. Name your favorite past childhood TV Show. Mister Rogers, Rugrats, Boy Meets World, Full House, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Clarissa Explains it All... Basically anything on Nick or TGIF. I also was embarrassingly into Barney as a kid, ugh.
5. What do you wish was around today (like a food brand or toy brand) that isn't anymore? DUNKAROOS. And Kinder Eggs (all of you international people don't know how good you have it).
6. What would you consider your growing up years? 70s, 80s, 90s? Do you miss those years? 90s and early 2000s. Hell yes I miss them!

I found kinder eggs recently at Walmart and was so shocked I bought a whole bunch, we also got a whole bunch of kinder chocolate from one of the islands when we were on a cruise.
@melissaf22@livinthesunnylife Are you sure you're not finding the Kinder Joy eggs? Those are not the same thing and are terrible. The good ones are Kinder Surprise and are illegal in the US.

I was going to ask this too. I stockpile kinder surprises whenever we go over lol

Oh yes, probably. But my SIL still gets really excited about them.
@lolog531 Oh man I loved those books!! I also had the sweet valley high board game. I would force my brothers to play it with me Speaking of games that talked to you, do you remember Dream Phone??

I saved my Christmas, birthday, and allowance money for a full year to buy Samantha. My mom went ahead and paid for the shipping. Same thing with the Super Nintendo. My parents wouldn’t buy us expensive stuff.
@ladygali I met some pretty cool people through that job, but he definitely takes the cake. I love that he’s become a household name now! He’s so cool. And so humble.

We had graduated college the year before and had no other plans, so we moved out there. I taught SAT prep classes while he acted in some truly terrible off off off off Broadway plays. We moved back home at the start of summer so I could go to grad school.
2. What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?(bonus for a pic) I really liked craft kits. I had one that used tissue paper to make stained glass windows.

6. What would you consider your growing up years? 70s, 80s, 90s? Do you miss those years? I started kindergarten in 1990, so I don't remember much of the 80s. I do miss those years, in that no one had cell phones and Facebook and the rest didn't exist yet. I really worry about what middle and high school are going to be like for my kids. It all sounds so much scarier with sexting and cyberbullying. And those things didn't exist when I was young, so I can't relate to it. I keep hoping that we'll magically have it sorted out ten years from now when my kids are starting middle school, but it will likely only be more complicated and scary.
