Rants/Raves: We had our IVF consult today and it went well, I guess. We're going to shoot for a fresh cycle using ICSI w/ day 3 transfer. In the event that I have a few extra embryos, we'll push those to day 5 and do PGS testing and freeze them. I don't know what is standard protocol but this lab can only have one patient's embryos out at a time so you need to have a scheduled appointment for testing. April is full so I'm on the schedule for beginning of May. I'm bummed about having to wait another month to get this rolling but I'd rather wait for the next available appointment and then cancel it if it's not needed than it be the other way around. We'll time this all with my end of April period. I'm also bummed that I need to get a letter of clearance from both my PCP & OB/GYN due to my BMI being so high. Old AND fat-what a great combo :::eye roll:::
Questions for the group: I know these can be tailored and unique to each individual but, any thoughts on the protocol she recommended?
Protocol: BCP for first few days (no more than 1 week), Micro Flare Lupron, 450 FSH, 20 Low Dose HCG. She said she'll aim for 10 days of injections.
GTKY: What is your favorite reality TV show? any Real Housewives
What are you thankful for this week? Having health insurance!

@mich_elle Yay for your consult today! That stinks you have to pretty much wait your turn for testing, etc. I've seen people with a similar protocol as yours. I did BC around a week before I started as well, but only used Lupron for my trigger shot b/c of high estrogen. But I used Follsitim, which is super easy to do. Be prepared that during the process, they'll probably adjust your dosage of meds depending on how you respond.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Well because I was nauseous a lot last week I decided to not do so many supplements. Currently I'm taking a multi-vitamin, vit d and c. I had stopped my adaptogens for a couple days to see if they were they culprit and I though maybe they were but last night I was nauseated at 3am and 7am but I'm thinking that was due more to the pizza I ate for dinner - I shouldn't have.
Rants/Raves: Our DD's bday was yesterday and she is officially 7! holy crap! It was a crazy busy day yesterday and I'm for sure feeling it today. So our family room looks like a hot mess of toys and our puppy wants to eat them all up so I think I will just put them all in a laundry basket cause well lazy. I'm also getting better sleep not on ambien. The night after that insomia I only woke up 2 times and it's been that way since so I'm hoping it continues to improve and now I can get rid of the nausea.
Questions for the group:
GTKY: What is your favorite reality TV show? I was watching the bachelor a little bit - can't believe I can still get into that
What are you thankful for this week? yoga - I am listening to my body and only did the basic level class tonight. It had been a week off last week. I dream of the day where I can balance on my forearms and do crazy stuff again.
@mich_elle I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.. The wheels of IVF are slow!! I started with the RE Oct 27th and I’m just doing my FET now. Hang in there doll!!
@vlagrl29 Awesome on getting better sleep!! Now go away nausea!

@ndz2018 Stinks they didn't give a calendar of events for starting meds, etc so you'd have a better idea. My dr gave me one to fill in dates, etc when I started AF. Anyways, we'll still be close! My first lining check is on Monday, then believe the following week will be transfer.

I saw my naturopath again today and she massaged my right adrenal and the muscle over it. My left was never as bad as my right. She says I should continue to see improvement. I have a follow up with her in 2 weeks. She said no adaptogens for 2 weeks and maybe that was all I needed of them to help the recovery process.
And can I just say my DDs spring break is already exhausting me lol. She has so much energy.
My AF is officially over. Although heavier than last month , not as heavy as it usually is. I'm assuming each month will get better or more normal I should say. I so wanted to have sex with DH tonight cause it's been awhile and while the intention was there earlier today as evening came around I was dog tired.

@mich_elle - today is a good day. I got adequate sleep. We are at a water resort with our daughter and her friends. Tonight we surprise her with Disney world. 2 nights ago was bad. I had horrible heartburn and nausea most the night so sleep sucked! But I took Zantac last night and zofran. Geez it's like I'm preg lol. Hope sleep is good tonight cause I have a wedding to play tomorrow.

@ndz2018 and @kristimh80 are you doing the pio shots? If so, how are they going? That’s what I’m most scared of I think! I can’t believe how soon your FETs are!!! So exciting!
@Mack2342 welcome aboard! Yes thank god for gummy vitamins as that’s all I take (I’m really bad at swallowing pills, detest them).
@mich_elle my last IVF cycle I tried the microdose Lupron protocol and that was the one where we actually got some to test, so sounds good! I’ve seen this used with a lot of the 40+ women like us in forums which gave me comfort going into it. Yes, this process is slow and I never dreamed I’d be doing so many cycles of it let alone 1! Right now this wait until May or June is killing me!
