    GTKY: What's something you're afraid of? I have lots of fears, a more innocuous one is spiders and snakes. Really, anything slimy/slithery/creepy/crawly is a no-go.

    CS/Q:

    GTKY: What's something you're afraid of?
    The usuals...definitely bugs. I can handle ants and verrry small spiders. Anything with a shell I’m not going near period. I don’t even really like butterflies because let’s be honest, it’s just a bug with really big wings.

    GTKY: What's something you're afraid of? Spiders. I can tolerate little wirey ones but if they've meat to them, I'm gone. And jumping ones put my in hyperventilate/pass out mode. It's not pretty. Also, potato/veggie peelers. I prefer them over knives but I'm always afraid I'm going to get my fingers.

    R/R:
    I’m exhausted this morning! The long weekend really threw off my sleep schedule.  I walked away from my appointment on Friday feeling emotional. I don’t really know why.  She thinks I’m ovulating just fine (since I have a typical LH spike every cycle that lines up with my BBT) so she doesn’t want to do CD3 bw for now. She did order thyroid and testosterone bw and (only after I asked for it) progesterone for 7dpo. She’s not really concerned about all those, she’s more concerned about blocked tubes or a septum or a misshaped uterus or something. So she wants me to get an HSG and a hysterosonogram but she can’t order them. She wants to send me to an OB/GYN. At this point I would just rather go to an RE. Why bring yet another person into this. Plus it looks like this last appointment was coded as infertility testing so insurance won’t like that. Ugh I’m frustrated. Plus I asked her about MH SA results because I noticed that he only has 5% with a normal form. She goes, “Oh ya I guess I didn’t notice that before, that could be an issue…” are you kidding me!

    CS/Q:

    GTKY: What's something you're afraid of?
    Snakes. Keep them away from me. I don’t mind insects at all but snakes and lizards are a no go.

    @catlady2015 I’m so jealous of your massage! I know I keep saying I want to book one but I never get around to doing it. Enjoy your relaxing day!

    @meladams10 FX for YH SA today! I’m wondering now if we need to get another one done too. Ugh the stresses of this.

    @rosebud332 I love butterflies!!! They are so beautiful! There are so many different kinds. Have you ever been to a butterfly garden? It’s so much fun.

    @stargazer1lily Fires are definitely scary. There was just a house fire down the road from us a couple weeks ago. About half the house is gone.

    @prpl11butterfly Sorry about your cold temps this am. It sucks that spring feels so far away. I just wish it would rain here! But it looks like it might snow instead tonight.

    @darkstar42 I’m so glad you’re off the bench!!  I’m sorry you’re having a hard time but I’m glad you’re getting the help/support you need.

    @LJMoon6 Thank you! You got it right, it's all so stressful! UGH! I'm sorry you're having to go through all that. I swear... these doctor's can be so frustrating! I have really learned that we have to be our own advocates. I'm surprised she didn't order a second SA. Typically if there's one thing abnormal, they will have them do a second SA just to be sure it wasn't a fluke. Semen changes many times a day for men, so going off one test isn't really accurate. Maybe you should ask for a second one?
  • Options
    @meladams10 Everything else on his SA was excellent. It was only the % of normal form that was low. But everything that I read online, before I talked to my doc, made me think that this was normal. They use a really strict evaluation and anything between 4-14% is normal. So his 5% is still within that range but on the low end. That's why I didn't say anything sooner. But then after asking my doc about it she did seam to think it might be a problem. And then she went on to say that we might do really well with an IUI. I don't think I want her to order another one, I'd rather have a future RE do that. I'm starting to slowly lose confidence in her ability to treat my IF.

    @meladams10 They're so creepy! I knew someone who got bit for a recluse once and I saw the wound. It was enough to scar me for life. Seriously, it's what nightmares are made of.

    @LJMoon6 Can you ask her to just refer you to a RE? Does your insurance required a referral? I know some don't. My insurance now doesn't, but my previous did. I think an RE would be the better person for all that testing anyway.

    @adorkablepixie If I stay within the same provider system as my pcp then I don’t need a referral, but if I want to go outside of the system then I do need one. I need to do some research and find a few options in my area.

    @meladams10 Ya I don’t think she really knows much either. She thought we could test the progesterone at any time in the cycle and I had to tell her I thought it was 7dpo. I’m nervous to be moving on to an RE but I think that’s the best option.

    @kath525 Yay for getting your paperwork in! I didn’t really think the % normal was a problem, just that it was low. I’m more freaked out now after asking her about it.

    @meladams10 - enjoy your massage! FX for YH's SA to come back normal!
    @rosebud332 - I get not liking others touching you. I requested female therapists for that reason, but it felt so good after i got started that it really became a non-issue for me. Everyone's been super professional and focused on only touching what's needed to help you feel better. You can start with a short chair massage - they'll work on your back/neck, etc through your clothes. it can be super relaxing, even if you don't do the whole table thing.
    @Stargazer1lily - glad your ankle's recuperating!!
    @prpl11butterfly - i have nothing to say about your chart, but hugs, friend. can you fit in a massage, something nice for yourself? b/c that's just icky. also, yay for new bathtub!
    @LJMoon6 - keep us posted on the RE situation! She should refer you, esp. since she can't do the testing you need anyway. it shouldn't have to go up a ladder from her to a gyn, to an RE. like @AdorkablePixie said, do you need a referral for insurance, or can you just make an appointment yourself?
    @AdorkablePixie - do you typically get a lot of ewcm, or does yours show up just before O? at any rate, hope it means your O is imminent and you guys have good timing this month!

    @meladams10 good luck for YH's SA. Hopefully it will be normal.
    @Stargazer1lily I'm glad your ankle is doing better. Hope you'l be back to doing lunges in no time
    @lin0442 lol I thought I was the only one who did that. I feel the same about my fingernails. I always have to keep clippers handy!   :|

    @meladams10 Thank you!

    @LJMoon6 YGPM. :) But also, 5% morphology is over the “minimum” criterion. How were the other numbers? If count and motility are normal or high, 5% morphology might be just fine! It’s so hard to know with this stuff.

    @Kath525 Thank you! Finding a good therapist is challenging, but worth it. What do you teach?

    @Stargazer1lily Ouch! Glad it’s feeling better. I know sprains can take forever to heal.

    @nasah15 So sorry for the crappy day. *hugs*
