What about hives? Anyone else break out in hives? I am breaking out now for the third time since my BFP. They are on my neck/chest (think the area you can see when wearing a v-neck). Just wondering if this is normal or should be looked at?

@tessiesmom26 Hmm. That hasn't happened to me. For hives, I wonder if you should make a call to your OB to see what they say. Hives are usually from an allergic reaction, aren't they? It might be worth getting checked out just in case. I could be wrong though.
@offtoneverland Oh good to know! Aren't electric blankets just magical?! I have been tempted to use it recently. I fell asleep with it on high a few nights before I found out I was pregnant and woke up all sweaty and my stomach hurt. I'm really hoping I didn't hurt the LO or something! But everything seems fine now. Ooh lucky! Chicken chalupas from Taco Bell always sound good to me!
@pink_polkadots I'm like that too...when I actually do want a certain food it's a very fleeting fancy. Take out is so handy! My husband works until 10pm most nights so pretty much everywhere is closed for good take out. I could go for a good steak and cheese sub right now. But in 20 minutes that might sound horrible, lol! This whole "I want food but I don't want food" thing stinks for us!
@pink_polkadots Everything sounds terrible to me, but last night, I was randomly craving a Taco Bell quesadilla...I don’t even know the last time I ate Taco Bell! Wtf? lol
omg Taco Bell sounds so good, uuuuugh! My first go round ALL of my cravings for we’re for food back home and my aversions were for basically anything Japanese flavored, I hope that doesn’t happen again ‘cause it was awful
Not to worry, friends! Nausea is back in full swing today. I guess yesterday was just a blessing lol.
@runningyogimama There are very few things that sound good to me, but I am making chicken quesadillas for dinner tonight!
@argyleagain I keep getting hot flashes at night, which is weird for me because I am otherwise always cold. The covers go off and on me all night long!
I have also been so so cold lately, like can't do anything to feel warm type of cold. And my hungry ALL the time. If I don't eat every free hours the terrible nausea kicks in. And my boobs are so sorry and I swear the already grew a full size I think I need a new bra already. Also been starting to feel a bit light headed.
Hang in there lady's, happy to have a place to vent where everyone understands.
@babyfeverbeliever chicken quesadillas sound awesome to me. This is very odd because chicken made me gag yesterday, but perhaps I'm cured? Thanks for the suggestion!
@alweldon86 I"m the exact same. Cold and eating constantly to help keep the nausea at bay.
I am sooo tired, nauseous, and my heartburn is so bad.
I always get heartburn when pregnant but it usually doesn't start until later. With my 1st it was 12 weeks or so, with DS2 is was 8 weeks, but its already here with this one! It just makes the nausea even worse and I have been taking Pepcid but will have to switch to extra strength Zantac soon I guess.
So still having some bleeding but went and got ultrasound and instead of 7 weeks I’m now 5.5 weeks or so... have another ultrasound scheduled for two weeks. Doctor said everything looked good just early so can’t determine what’s going on yet. Still nauseous but feeling a bit relieved because I thought for sure would be hearing bad news. No clue when bleeding will stop but hopefully soon....
I’m 5w5d and I’m exhausted. Cranky. Ravenous. Nausea lasts for just a minute in the morning... Some insomnia. Restless leg when I lay down at night. My boobs aren’t sore, just awake. But with this being our fourth, I’m not sure I could ask them to be more than that! Haha.. And frequent urination at night.... But so so thankful to have these symptoms. I’m craving salty things all the time.. I’m thinking we are getting another boy! Which is perfectly fine with me! But I seriously just want to sleep all the time. Makes it hard to deal with the kids at school. Hahaha
@mempartyof3 hugs! I had a friend who had some bleeding and everything turned out fine. I had a different friend whose baby measured really small during her 7&8 week ultrasounds, she delivered a 9 pound baby 7 months after that.
a few of you have mentioned back pain and while I'm sorry for your misery, I am glad to hear that others are experiencing it, too! I have acute spina bifida, and have back pain from time to time, generally, but since learning I'm pregnant, the pain has been more frequent, and different, almost like pinching nerves? I could barely stand in a line for a cup of coffee the other day!
my doc appt isn't for a few more weeks, but I was going to bring it up w/ her b/c I'm not sure if my back pain is due to the pregnancy (I didn't have this kind of back pain so early on in my first pregnancy), or due to my pre-existing condition.
@blue2mango All I want is carbs. Trying so hard not to live off of pasta and cake right now. And I do have a pitty! We adopted him about 1.5 years ago. I'm a huge pitbull advocate. Best dogs ever.
First time pregnancy, so noticing every little thing! I'm 6 weeks today, nausea is kicking in a little today, but it's bareable(hopefully stays that way)! Boob pain is no joke- that was my very first symptom, but they are much bigger already, which I'm totally ok with! Lol. Lots of cramping for weeks 4 and 5 but seems to be going away! Been spotting a little, but ob isn't concerned so neither am I, it's more of a nuisance! Back pain towards the end of the day. But I am sooo tired. I have always gotten minimum 8 hours at night but now getting like ten, with a 2-4 hour nap mid day. Also veery grumpy- hormones are no joke!
So this is kind of random but is starting to worry me that something weird is going on. I had a nasty cold a couple weeks ago and was on Rx of amoxicillin for sinus and ear infection. A couple days after finishing Rx my throat started hurting and was really dry and itchy on and off.
So it’s a week later and still bothering me, mainly hurts to swallow. I went to the doctor last night and again tested negative for strep on the rapid test, they are doing a dna one and I should get results today. I don’t think it’s strep but have no other ideas why it is so sore. I don’t have seasonal allergies but I’m hoping maybe with the weather changing? Is a sore throat a symptom of allergies?
@thebobloblaw It could definitely be because of the changing weather. Also, I've heard that some people's sinuses/throats get pretty raw during pregnancy. Do you think it could maybe be a pregnancy symptom? Are you drinking lots of water to try to keep your throat hydrated? I have seasonal allergies and I want to say they were a little worse when I was pregnant, but that also could've been because I couldn't take medicine for it. Could pregnancy have caused you to develop seasonal allergies? Whatever it is, I hope you feel better soon!
I don't think I've come across it yet, but anyone else suffering from round ligament pains yet? mine are intense! and more frequent that I ever expected. >_<
I wasn't expecting ANY w/ my second pregnancy, but I've read that what I'm going thru is pretty normal for subsequent pregnancies. it still sucks, though
@offtoneverland I’m probably not reaching the recommended amount for water intake as I should, but I’m trying to drink as much as possible. I hope it is allergies, makes sense that pregnancy could be making me react differently.
@sailorosie I had really bad sciatica with my first pregnancy that started before I even knew I was pregnant. This time I have no sciatic stuff going on so far, but have had some RLP that I did not have before!
@sailorosie This is my first pregnancy, so I am not sure if what I am feeling are round ligament pains. I have looked those up and it seems to be a second trimester thing, so it's good to know that it's possible in the first trimester also. Just feels like stabbing pains...it doesn't happen often, but it did several times throughout the day yesterday.
So maybe this is just me... But I have been having MAJOR swamp crotch with all sorts of gross smells lately. I shower daily but by the evening good googa mooga... It's gross. Hopefully I'm not the only one, but if I am whatevs panda bear the lil dot is giving me stank crotch. And no, for the record, I don't have an infection or anything (least not as far as I'm aware lmao). #teamstankcrotch

The world just smells so bad you guys. So. Bad. Granted, my house has two 13 yo boys, one 11 yo boy, ad two dogs in it, but I wear a scarf all the time so I can cover my nose when I need to! I had to leave my office and go for a walk when there were some maintenance guys in this week... Going to a concert tonight and I’m trying to brace myself for all the human smells that will be there lol.
@babybrain2018 more power to you at work! My DH is a paramedic, and I don’t think I could stomach what he does. Just hearing about his shift is enough to make me almost lose it!
Other than that, the sore boobs and being exhausted all the time. And I think my blood sugars are starting to drop bit? I usually have to lower how much insulin I take during the first trimester, so I’m keeping an eye on that! The low blood sugars at night can be especially scary.
Anyway, if it means I’m still pregnant, it’s ALL GOOD
The exhaustion is so real guys. I went to bed at 9:45 pm last night and slept til 7:30 am. Now it's 10:10 am and all I want to do is get back in bed!! I am really close to going upstairs and working from the couch instead of from my office. Is it 5:00 pm yet?

@marfi236 I hear you!! I went to bed at 10pm and slept until 8am, which is AMAZING since I normally get up at 4am for work. I want to go back to bed already... but I have to go get ready for a baby shower! I think mid-day (or morning!) naps are 100% allowable during pregnancy.
@prairiemomma82 the world does stink!!! I was sitting at work yesterday and all I kept smelling was a musty old basement that nauseated me. Took me a while to realize it was coming from the air vent above my desk. Funny this is, I’ve been complaining for years that I thought the air vents were dirty as my allergies only act up at work but no one believed me. Now my pregnancy nose has just verified my complaint.

@prairiemomma82 I completely agree, everything smells. Going to the office is the worst especially smelling everyones lunches. And DH his deodorant which has never bothered me before is aweful.
My boobs exploded overnight. I literally went up a cup size between yesterday morning and today. WTF?
I'm small-busted to start with (as in I have next to nothing when I'm not pregnant, being super thin), so it's not like they're enormous water balloons now, but I'm shocked at how quickly they decided to grow.
I'm also wondering if I have a UTI. No burning when I pee, but my kidney-area is tender and hurts when I tap it. Maybe I'm dehydrated in spite of guzzling water?
Ladies I am wondering if anyone else is having there symptoms. Today I woke up all stuffy and all of my joints are achey. And I am more tired then I have ever been. I'm not sure what to think if these symptoms.
