Provera Cycle.... I'm confused.

My RE put me on 14 days of provera to induce a cycle. On day 7 I started my period. I emailed them to let them know I had began cycle day 1 and wss told it would not count until after I finished provera. I finished my dosage of provera on 3/7 and my period began to wind down but I have continued to spot every day since
