@dinodna3@2589 my OB literally said, "Kick counts are an art, not a science, just use your best judgment and call me if you don't feel the baby move for a couple hours when you're still. Do not sit around and count them otherwise." lol lol But she also knows my baby moves around LIKE CRAZY so I think she feels pretty confident that I'd notice a dramatic drop.
My doc has never even me tioned kick counts...this preg or the last one just to bring up any concerns I have. It really is crazy how different docs can be
Visit today was brief. Blood pressure was 134/72; Friday it was 116/74. Nobody seemed concerned, but it kinda freaked me out. Baby's heartbeat sounded good. OB asked if I was considering another VBAC; I said absolutely. Discussed possible tying of tubes; OB said she wasn't trying to tell me what to do, but she would recommend vasectomy instead, as it is more effective, and since it doesn't make since for me to have surgery, when I am trying to avoid surgery (a c-section.)
@kfren my BP has been in the 130s a few times this pregnancy and no one has been concerned. I got pretty nervous before appointments in the beginning before I was feeling baby move, so I think that had a lot to do with it. My OB did tell me that the diastolic is a better reflection of how your BP is, so since that's in the normal range that's a good thing!
@kfren I recently read (cannot remember where!) that BP naturally goes up as you get further along in your pregnancy due to all the extra weight and pressure from baby on your insides, along with the added fluids in your body. Could be a reason why they weren't concerned! I totally hear you on getting nervous about it being elevated though. I was induced with DD due to BP issues so I've been extra observant about mine this pregnancy!
@kfren Right there with ya with the BP. My docs haven't said anything other than I can monitor at home if I want. I think they worry when you start having more symptoms along with the high BP. FX!

Regular apt was good today. Got my tdap and rhogam shots. Scheduled out my next 3 apts, every other week. Woohoo! And she said we'll schedule the csection at the next visit! and most importantly, she still is set to be my OB till after delivery.

I just got my glucose test results back and I passed!!! I’m thrilled considering how I had GD last time. Also I really didn’t expect to pass and have been gobbling up sweets lol so now I need to come up with a healthier meal plan.
@katie121209 yaaay! That's exactly how I felt. I was eating all the sweets in preparation.... then passed and was like crap, I need to change my eating habits still now lol

I had my appointment and glucose test this morning. I don't have high hopes for passing. When my OB did my ultrasound, she said my amniotic fluid was high, which is a sign of diabetes. I've never even heard of fluid being high!???! I guess I shouldn't have eaten all that key lime pie...life lessons, man.
ETA: I am now going to stop googling what it means to have high amniotic fluid. I'm getting way too much scary/questionable info.
@LaceyBee522 I think that's called hydramninos? But I didn't realize it was related to GD. I thought it was sort of random. I'd also assume you'd have more amniotic fluid since twins.... but obv your doctor is a doctor, and I am a professional googler soooo lol. FX it's nothing, I know amniotic fluid levels can vary based on a lot of factors (for instance in Expecting Better, she talks about how you can influence your amniotic fluid levels by chugging a bunch of water before appointments if you're concerned about low amniotic fluid).
Thanks guys! @doxiemoxie212 yes, hydro-whatver is one of the terms I came across in my googling. But, she didn't mention a difference in the sacks between the twins, so I don't think that's something to worry about. I have, however, been worried about low amniotic fluid, so have been drinking 120 oz+ of water everyday. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I have my next US in a about a week, so will see what happens then.
@laceybee522 step away from google!! it only causes anxiety, never solves anything. Fingers crossed you pass and the next check will show everything to be normal.

I've got to go do my glucose test tomorrow. I passed the early one about 2 months ago with rather low results. Hoping the recent consumption of girl scout cookies and Easter candy hasn't done me in.
Thank you @marcus7676@stephcat421 and @kfren. The appointment and test went good and I should hear results Monday. I really expected the orange drink to be orange in color lol but I chugged it fine. It just tastes like medicated soda. I let my doc know about concerns of not really feeling the baby move this week so while her HR was good at 130, I was sent to triage for an NST, where, of course, she had a little party in my uterus and I felt like an idiot. Especially when I could hear nurses in the hallway shouting "I need some help over here!!!" for other ladies in L&D. But I feel better now about leaving the country for 2 weeks.
@becca_123 Don't feel like an idiot. Much better to alleviate your concerns, especially before leaving the country! Glad everything turned out okay. FX for a passing number!
