Oo I like this one! Thanks for starting it @purple_2012
This weekend we bought a new car for DH! His old car was starting to have problems and we were tired of putting money in to it. He is so excited to put the baby in his new car, it’s all he talked about and my heart smile!
This week I am really looking forward to our first appointment! We can’t wait to see the baby and hopefully we will be able to see a strong healthy heartbeat!
This is going to sound terribly boring, but for the amount of apathy I’ve been dealing with, it is awesome.
I cleaned my kitchen, paid my bills, and got half the laundry done. I still need to fold all the laundry, but I’ll get to it. I put clean sheets on my bed, and didn’t kill my dog for having diarrhea and vomiting on the couch (thank goodness for dog blankets).
As for this coming week? I have no clue- funwise at least. I’m having lunch with friends this afternoon.
What did you accomplish this weekend? My mom was in town, so we went out for a nice dinner, enjoyed a day at the spa, and hung out at home. Nice and relaxing.
What are you looking forward to this week? Going to bed at 7 instead of 8 to make up for my lost hour?
Nothing and nothing. Looking forward to tomorrow morning and Wednesday, as usual, because that’s when our babysitter comes and I get time off. I might get my act together and start making the kids’ Easter baskets and filling eggs for our egg hunt.
I was proud to stay up to 1am for my birthday party with a small group of close friends having a blast catching up and laughing! All though today I feel hungover but I didn't touch a drop so that's not fair! Just tried so a nap might need to happen.
This week I'm excited for another ultrasound!
Me 33 DH 41 TTC since 2016 Due: October 12, 2018 Location: Ontario, Canada
@knottieamusements I’m super impressed. I have laundry on our couch that’s needed to be folded and put up for going on two weeks now.
That is how long the previous round of laundry has been in the basement. I totally fess up to just grabbing the last load of sheets to put on my bed....
This weekend we didn’t get much productive accomplished but did get to the zoo to enjoy some family time while it’s beautiful and sunny out and today my DD has her dance recital which I’m looking forward to!
This week I have my first midwife appointment on Monday and my first ultrasound on Thursday so hoping both go well!
This week I am looking forward to the gorgeous weather today and tomorrow. Also looking forward to, but more nervous for, starting a new job within my company and our second u/s.
This weekend I chopped my hair off and got rid of some furniture that was sitting on my porch that made my house look like crap. I literally have nothing going on this week....
It’s been a pretty productive weekend. Got in a pretty big fight with DH yesterday, which sucked, but the makeup sex was great! And he cleaned the entire house, because he’s a stress-cleaner. Hahaha.
And tonight we have a sitter coming so that we can have an actual date night!! We’re going to a casino for the first time since our babymoon in Reno 2 years ago!
We got a lot done this weekend! Went to Home Depot and got paint chips for the nursery, looked around at baby furniture, and did various other shopping. Including my first ever trip to Costco!
Today is more low key, housework, bills, and just generally getting ready for the week. I have a pot of pho broth on the stove so that will be dinner for the next couple nights!
@quiltandknit Tell me more about this homemade pho...it looks oh-so-challenging to make, but I've also seen some cheat versions on Pinterest and can't ever bring myself to give it a go. Pho is a sacred food for me and I feel more comfortable leaving it to the pros. Am I wrong?
I made 8 freezer instant pot meals that I’m hoping will help with after-school nausea/exhaustion! I’m looking forward to no students tomorrow for a work day, and Tuesday off with my babies!
Spent the night with my folks last night since DH went out of town for awhile, and we’ll probably stay again tonight, because why not. It’s nice having company, and a chance to go to the bathroom and shower by myself without having to schlep a toddler in there is surprisingly very refreshing.
I worked this weekend, so I guess that’s productive. I have my first OB appointment on Tuesday, my oldest turns 7 on Thursday, and my 4 yo twins have a dance recital next weekend. So busy week ahead!
Hung out with my sister and my toddler at a park today which was a good successful our and about adventure. Looking forward to having some more energy this week and taking the toddler out on adventures
Today a man came to the door selling candy. When I answered the door he said "is your mom or dad home?" I said, "I AM the mom." The look of shock on his face was priceless

@mytrueloves I love/hate when that happens! A sales lady was looking for the “King or Queen of the house”...I said back to her, “I am the Queen” and shut the door. I’m 29, will be 30 in a couple of months but know I look like I’m in my early 20s...
We celebrated my brothers 21st birthday yesterday and tonight we are telling my parents that were expecting! I am so nervous and so excited!
This week well be telling the in-laws when we go to visit before a funeral for DH pepe. So we're hoping this bit of happy news is uplifting during this time! Also very nervous and exciting!!
@DunkinDecaf I'll be 25 in a couple months! I still get asked what high school I go to. When I delivered DD, the pediatrician who came to check her over gave me a lecture because he thought I was turning 16. I was 20

@mytrueloves well, enjoy while it lasts!! Fuck that doctor though. No matter how old you were that’s not his place. No one goes to a dr when they want a sermon. What a butt munch. When I delivered DD1 I was 24 and the nurses kept telling me I “acted very mature for my age”, which totally offended me at the time. Probably wouldn’t mind it so much now though... I’ve aged like a president since I still die a little inside every time I get “ma’am”-d.
We officially started moving my SS upstairs! He's going to be so excited when he comes over next. Only his toys so far, but his bed and dresser will follow soon. And a nurf gun wall. (Don't mind the old carpet and wood panel walls!)
@stithof sorry I’m late in getting back to you. I DH is Vietnamese, so I learned how to make pho from my MIL. Mine came out pretty good, but of course it will never be the same as hers! She’s got 40 years of practice! I don’t think you’re wrong, it definitely has something extra when made by the pros.
What did I accomplish this weekend?: I drove 200 miles, prepared food for, and executed hosting a bridal shower with 34 attendees, cleaned up, spent time with family and friends, and drove 200 miles back home in under 36 hours. Then I spent today getting in a good workout, running errands, and doing things around the house. Now I’m exhausted and ready to crash!
What am I looking forward to this week?: Getting my hair done! It is so needed!!
ETA: ugh, I thought I was getting my hair done but I just double checked my calendar and my appointment is not until the 31st. Boo.
Today... worked until 4:30, got groceries for a few days, and made a bunch of delicious burritos to send in DH lunches next week. Yup I felt successful. As for next week... I can’t wait for my first US on Tues!!
Re: Sunday Funday!
Im looking forward to shopping at the sale on Wednesday and my first ultrasound on Thursday!

We also got a changing table last nice off FB for only $40. So I'm excited about that. I'm also looking forward to spending the day with the hubby.
Nothing exciting on the horizon for next week yet.
I didn’t accomplish much this past week, but this week I’m hoping to get a lot done packing up our house so we can get this moving process underway.
This week is pretty low key, but I’m getting my haircut Thursday.
This week I'm excited for another ultrasound!

Here’s an online recipe that’s pretty close to the way she makes it. It’s not as hard as you think, once you get it all in the pot you just let it simmer all day. Prep your noodles and veggies and you’re ready to eat!

Not a ton. Put together a list of meals for the next week. Checked into a quote for a new roof.
What are you looking forward to this week?
Sleeping in tomorrow if the dogs let me.
