  • I got the day off of work today due to bad weather. I woke up at 5:30am when my manager sent the message out, and then I laid in bed for an hour thinking about how hungry I was, but I didn't want to get up. I finally got myself out of bed and had a bowl of Life cereal (my fave!) and some orange juice, and now I feel sick. 

    Last night we went out for pizza at our favorite local pizza place. Their BBQ chicken pizza is the best!

  • No one felt like cooking this morning, so I went by Wawa (amazing gas station with lots of food ans coffee drinks made to order) and grabbed a cheese and fruit boxed snack. I'm going to regret my choices by 10am, but I'm too exhausted to cook. I had Chick Fil A last night since I was running super late from visiting my brother. Going to have a gluten free cheese sandwich and hopefully tomato soup if the vending machine has it for lunch then an 8 year old bday party tonight and whatever they are serving that's GF. Goodness, talk of food has made my stomach go sour. Time to chew mint gum.

  • Everything!! Lol I can’t believe how hungry I am!!!! I also have been wanting all the pizza so for the last two nights we made homemade pizzas and fruit. I can’t even lie, I want it again tonight!!!

  • EVERYTHING....I seriously cannot eat enough. Mainly craving fruits and veggies. Plus I'm loving all things bread. Surprisingly enough, sweets are not really my thing so far. I did crave some ice cream mochi. The strawberry is amazing!

    I pack my lunch everyday for work, but on Fridays, I eat out. I'm thinking maybe sushi (fully cooked), or a giant salad from Jason's Deli with LOTS of ranch.

  • I've been eating anything that remotely resembles Mexican food, especially guacamole. Every time I pull out the bowl of guacamole I get the side eye from DD. 
  • @CopperBoom86 Jason's Deli is the best! We had dinner there last week. Their broccoli cheese soup is the bomb! And it has broccoli in it so it's healthy, right? ;)

  • I’ve been crazy hungry. Where my parents live has amazing Mexican food, so I ate a ton of it tonight. So insanely good. @wamam027 sounds like we’ve been eating the same kind of stuff. I can take down some guacamole.

  • I haven't actually been feeling that hungry at all but no nausea yet either. My nausea started about 6-7 weeks with my DS. I still eat but nothing in particular sounds good.

  • My appetite is crazy today but every time I eat, I get nauseous. Mostly bread and bite sized chocolate today. I really want to deep fry some tater tots for dinner tonight with hot dogs though.

  • Does anyone pack their lunch for work? If so, what do you take? When I'm not pregnant, I eat the fool out of turkey or ham sandwiches. I still eat deli meat occasionally when I'm pregnant, but I don't like to eat it everyday. I've been bringing frozen meals, but I'm cringing at all the sodium.

  • @CopperBoom86 When I was pregnant with DD (when I worked), I brought salads to work most days. I would pre-chop veggies on sundays, hardboil a bunch of eggs for protein, throw in some cheese and croutons with the veggies, eggs, and a bag of prewashed spring mix and good to go.


  • @CopperBoom86 Ugh. Packing lunches is my least favorite chore. I usually eat PB&J a lot during the week. I've been trying to get better at making big batches of something that I can take to work--recently I've been making pasta with bolognese sauce. Some other easy options would be chili, protein (chicken or beef) with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, tacos (kind of messy for work, but sometimes I bring leftover taco meat and eat it with chips), or enchiladas. Personally, I don't like salad at all, so I never bring it to work. I'll eat it as a side with dinner but not as a main dish at lunch time because I'm hungry 5 minutes later! Every once in a while I'll bring frozen meals to mix things up, but I try not to do it frequently for the same concerns you have. Packing lunches is so hard!

    that sounds so freakin' good right now.  well really...just the croutons...and cheese... thats still healthy right? ::drool::

  • I've been crazy hungry, like ready to eat a meal an hour after the one before. The problem is, I go through all the cupboards and fridge and can't find anything I actually want to eat, or think of anything to buy that I would want to eat. I'm a foodie so this is frustrating! Ice cream actually nauseated me the other night! Like seriously what is up with that?!!

  •  Anybody else craving specific drinks? I'm craving Sprite, lemonade, or anything citrus. Foods are suddenly not all that appealing... not even sweets. This is so unlike prior pregnancies!

  • @josie12367 I've been craving a vanilla milkshake. Does that count as a drink? :) I get what you mean about foods not sounding very appealing right now, although I get super hungry so I have to force myself to eat even if it doesn't sound great. Sweets haven't been sounding good to me either (other than milkshakes). Usually I like to eat a few gummies after dinner or some other type of treat, but I get so full, even after a small dinner, that I can't even think about a treat! 
    I got some vanilla protein powder so I can make fake milkshakes for breakfast and I'm hoping the extra protein will keep me full.

  • @josie12367 It hasn't happened this pregnancy yet, but with my other two kids I always craved chocolate milk. It was the only thing that helped my nausea. In real life, I despise milk.

  • @CopperBoom86 My H will grill up chicken on the weekends and I usually bring that with either rice or noodles. I also bring protein shakes and yogurt or cheese sticks for snacks throughout the day. Having things made ahead of time makes it so much easier to bring lunch daily.

    @josie12367 During my last pregnancy, I craved Orange Fanta and orange juice the entire 9 months. The funny thing is I don’t normally drink or even like either one of those drinks!

  • I have been very hungry. I usually don’t eat much for breakfast but now I wake up and I am starving. I have also been snacking a ton as well. I really need to go buy some healthy snacks. I had a pear and some toast for breakfast today. Then I just ate grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. I’m craving avacodos and strawberries. Also trying to drink more water. 
  • So far I haven't had any food aversions, so I'm taking advantage of that while I can and loading up on protein and veggies. Usually sometime in the middle of first trimester all I can stomach are carbs and fruit, this way I will feel less guilty haha. So I've been eating a lot of eggs with avocados and spinach, and tons of roasted veggies. A recent favorite was a beef enchilada breakfast bake loaded with olives, salsa, and avocado. Since having my daughter a year ago I have been dairy free so not really having to deal with those craving is nice!

  • Just all the food. I’m ravenous ALL the time. Like eat and then I’m starving in an hour. It’s super annoying, but this happened both of my other pregnancies. And is why I gained 55 lbs with both. 

    @CopperBoom86 I’m a salad eater for lunch. I prep my ingredients for the week on Sunday but mix up what I’m putting in it week to week, and also eat a Greek yogurt and some kind of fruit. I’m very predictable for lunch, lol.

  • @runningyogimama I'm a predictable lunch eater too. We have a fabulous grocery store here that makes these kale pepita salads that are undressed and so delicious. I buy a few of those, some chicken salad or rotisserie chicken, and either cheese sticks, hard-boiled eggs, or some other snack and eat those all week. It's the same every single week, but I'm not tired of it yet!

    Still no food aversions thus far, but I'm eating a lot. The hunger is unreal this time.

  • I had my usual chicken and rice for lunch. I was debating cutting into the last small piece of chicken and decided against it. Picked it up to toss is and saw a grey spot on the bottom and proceeded to dry heave. Ugh!! If I end up with a chicken aversion idk what I'll eat. I am one of the pickiest eaters alive!

    I freeze a few portions and haven them a few weeks down the road. 

    I also like Fit Couple Cooks Youtube channel.  They do easy meal preps, give the nutrition stats & the cost per meal. 

     


  • Sitting here eating like an entire bag of Chipotle chips and the whole container of queso. I didn't like their queso the last time I had it, but today I love it! Someone come take these chips away from me! Although I just spent an hour raking the yard, so I guess I'm just replacing the calories I burned. 


    @tessiesmom26 I had a huge chicken aversion when I was pregnant with DD. It was one of the only things I couldn't eat, and it lasted almost my entire pregnancy. I think it's a pretty common aversion, for whatever reason. Hope it doesn't happen to you!

    Also, SO thirsty for water and raspberry iced tea, but having a hard time drinking any form of coffee. I'm usually a coffee fiend.  :/

  • I’m actually not craving too much so far but Im eating half portions or feel sick which is great since in my other two pregnancies I gained way too much weight and I’m definitely going into this one way over... definitely going to try and not gain or gain very little to try and keep it healthy...
