So I just got my membranes swept at about 10:30 this morning, just wondering for moms who've had it done, how long did you wait before you went into labor? Also I'm having minor cramping and spotting, is that a good sign?

Baby will come when they’re ready. A membrane sweep might give them a nudge, but if they’re not ready it won’t do anything.

With DS I had it done at 40w4d and ended up at the hospital in labor that night, BUT I was already starting to contract on my own that morning before my OB appointment. We weren't going to bother but since things had already started she thought there was a chance it would help keep things moving. So yes, it worked for me, but she had also warned me for a lot of moms it does nothing.
Minor cramping and spotting could be from the procedure itself. It doesn't necessarily mean labor will be any time soon.
Good luck.

I had a membrane sweep at 37+6, had cramping and spotting the next day and baby was born at 38+2, but I was already 3cm + >50% effaced when I had the membrane sweep and also did as many of the anecdotal labour induction things I could.
