I am literally to-the-bone exhausted. I slept most of yesterday, and I slept last night, and I woke up this morning and all I want to do is call out sick to work and sleep today. When does the exhaustion phase end??

Ya’ll I’m going to scream at my DH. Last, night he said he needed to leave for work early. Fine, whatever. Alarm goes off at 6:15, then two minutes later, then two minutes later. I told him he had to get up before his alarms woke the toddler up. He got all pissed and was like “screw you”. Too F’ing late. The toddler got up and spent the next 20 minutes trying to get me up. It’s currently 6:50, I’m up and angry and my alarm doesn’t go off until 7:15. How inconsiderate can one be? I also have a busy day at work and getting up an hour early is not going to make it easier.

It's skunk mating season in SW Michigan, FML.  Smell-induced car-barfing for dayyyyyyyyys!

@jengibre_zorro that explains why I’ve seen 4 dead ones on the road in a week  :s

I feel AWFUL and while I’d like to hope that means tomorrow’s follow up ultrasound will go well, I’m really afraid it won’t. And I hate everything right now.

A big middle finger to MS. I was a little worried because it went away suddenly all of Sat and Sun. I was almost wishing it back because as miserable as it is, it’s strangely reassuring. Woke up this morning sicker than ever.  Ok, I’m reassured now... You can go away again. Thanks.

I normally work from home but I have to go into the office on Wednesday. It’s an hour away. And I’ve been feeling sicker and sicker each day so I really don’t and to go sit in a bunch of meetings all day.

@cdepperschmidt ugh my DH does this to me constantly.  He says he is getting up at 5am to work out but sleeps through his alarm until 6:15am when I have to get up.  Meanwhile I lay there smacking him everything 5 minutes because his snooze alarm is going off and then Im the mean one because he gets hit :#

And I have also just realized that sugar and I are no longer friends.  My favorite girl scout cookies are Samoas.  I just got a box and had two (which is a single serving), and my tongue said “too sweet!” and my tummy said “bleh.”

I think these will end up in the freezer until October.

I love my son's preschool and the teacher's are great, and always trying to make school and learning fun....

That being said, I just got a mass text message letting parent's know that it is Dr. Seuss week, and on Thursday they should dress up as their favorite character from a book.

I don't even know where to begin with this... a little more notice would have been nice.

+1 for the Michigan skunk fest bitching!!!

Also my boss asked me today if I wanted to cut my hours. I work at a dentist office and we’re slow right now, so we need to cut somewhere and she thought I’d enjoy the extra rest. Um... no! I’m going on maternity leave in 7 months lady!!

She did say that I could work at other offices different days if I really needed the hours, but that means I have to give up my 3 day weekends, which is the only reason I accepted the position at this office. Ugh!

on the plus side, pretty sure I have never had a box of those make it more than a few days. ;)

Woke up this morning and DS is sick as a dog. Woke up with a 103.8 fever and absolutely miserable. My mom was panicking because that's what she does and it was just making things worse. I'm tired and cranky and feel crappy because I couldn't stay home with him. He's with his dad but mom guilt sucks.

@knottieamusements I'm right there with you on the sugar. I got my usual Dunkin iced coffee this morning and I couldn't drink it! It literally tasted like liquified chocolate frosting.

@krzyriver I worked at a dental specialist (endodontist) until DD was born and the 3 day weekends are the best part! That would be so sad to lose those.

My MBF today is for my job. Like I know I chose to work in a walk in clinic but.... Why does everyone always choose the same day and time to walk in?? It's always on a rainy or gloomy Monday, which is exactly what today is. And of course everyone is having some type of emergency, and wants to know why it is taking so long. Look around, folks, the gazillion other people waiting should give you a hint.

Oh wait I got another one. Let's talk about how the 2 worst days I've had so far with nausea were both this weekend. I couldn't even enjoy my time off and now I'm bitter!! Argh.
  • Options
@SawyerRichardson I know, it’s all that keeps me from walking out on my job some days!! Lol. It’s so nice to have that time with DS since he’ll still be so little when this one comes along. I don’t want to lose it!

I'm supposed to be off next week for a break between two job rotations, and they just told us TODAY that we had to take PTO next week. I don't have that opportunity, I need to save it for maternity leave. So now I get to tell my manager I'm pregnant already to see if she'll let it slide. All because one girl had to actually ask and start a paper trail. This wouldn't have happened if everyone just didn't say anything.
    AWESOME.

@jengibre_zorro In theory, it shouldn't be a novel idea that there is a skunk mating season. But that fact never once has crossed my mind, and now I am trying to wrap my head around just how awful that could possibly be.
@cdepperschmidt oh jeez. H would be on the sofa in my house tonight with that response. So sorry about your lost sleep - he owes you one.

@chopchop25 - i thought the same thing when i moved here.  All animals have a mating season, skunks just have the smelliest, lol

Thankfully I haven't noticed the skunks yet...hopefully my dog doesn't find them first. Last year was really bad in our area.

@knottieamusements I had a sugar aversion in the first tri last time, I have one again this time. Last time it went away during the 2nd tri. I’m hoping that is the case again.

    @cdepperschmidt

I just hope it doesn’t turn into a sugar craving!  It is far easier to give up the sweets and eat healthy if the bad stuff makes me feel terrible. :)

At the same time, I know I like Samoas. So it drives me bonkers.  I think I understand the ladies being annoyed that they have lost their appreciation for coffee a bit better.

Yesss this sugar thing is weird. I don't even want to eat my gummy vitamins cause they're so sweet and I want to water down my OJ.
  • Options
@nayyohme and I am over here chugging oj!! No real food aversions (so thankful) but carbs seems to taste extra good as well as fruit. I had a generic can of peaches last night and they tasted amazing!! I KNOW they normally don't taste like that!

I hadn’t thought of it really but me too on the sugar thing I guess because there’s been 3/4 of a DELICIOUS cake sitting in my fridge for 5 days now. Yes yes so long I know. I promise I’ll clean my fridge tomorrow. Maybe.

I hadn't put two and two together until you guys mentioned it, but normal candies I love just don't have the same satisfaction. Which is probably good for me...

I would have too! My husband likes to joke about that kinda stuff and it ends up making me feel guilty. I did nothing yesterday but lay on the couch. I felt useless because nothing got done.

Today was the first time I got physically sick at work. I told my husband I was going home and why. At no point has he said "i hope you feel better". All he's said was "look up some morning sickness remedies and try some".

It's taking all I have not to respond with "what do you think I've been doing?". I'm not eating a PB sandwhich daily because its my favorite...

@sammierose464 Ugh, your husband and mine would get along great. He does not really know how to be supportive. With DS I would wake up crying from discomfort and pain and he would get so frustrated that he would snap at me. "I don't know what you want me to do for you!?" He's better this time, but only slightly.

Uhh... dudes, why don’t you ask how you can help instead of assuming your pregnant partner is stoopid?

    You have my sympathies.

     @stithof Very true!

I shouldn't bash my poor H right now anyway. He was a trooper and shaved my legs for me last night because I get nauseous as soon as I bend down to do it! It was a jungle, poor guy! :D

Awww @krzyriver that's so sweet! Mine has been exceptional so far (not that he isn't when I'm not pregnant), so I gotta have his back!

My DH has been decent. Not overly worrisome but it's like he forgets what's going on. I'll make a comment about being nauseous or super tired or my boobs being sore, and he'll ask why.  Uhhhhh because I'm growing a human?

@lynzev My poor dude only wishes he could forget I'm pregnant, I talk about almost nothing else these days haha

I am curled up on the couch and my nose is SUPER sensitive today. Dh is grilling for dinner but I have a feeling I will have to get my tired butt up and help pull the meal together. He is good about doing stuff an probably does more than me most days but I have such guilt when I don't help with a meal or when he is doing something all on his own. I work from home and he works not at home so I do take claim to lots of the house stuff. I just don't want to do anything tonight.
