  • @becca_123 Oh, wow! I didn't know May had already moved. That seems so early? Am I wrong? I tend to lurk the months behind us more than the months ahead of us.

@May14th2011 I'm with you! I don't have kids yet, but assume my six month old will be cool with watching Real Housewives, Ru Paul's Drag Race, and Judge Judy....

  • @katelynrae86 SAME! I have pretty much given up Hobby Lobby because I can usually find something at a price I want to pay at Home Goods, Michael's or Amazon but I had CFA a couple weeks ago because they were delivering lunch boxes to work. That super food side salad gets me!

@May14th2011 I totally agree. And mom's that are  doing things and up and about when they've just had a baby. Like just binge watch Netfix while you still can!

AFM...I feel bad sometimes that I am not very emotional or romantic. MH is amazing and for V-day he gave me the sweetest card saying that I should enjoy my last V-day without kids and that I could choose between a prenatal massage or a prenatal yoga membership. And got me a cupcake and belly butter. I just got him a bottle of burbon. Nothing romantic. I don't know how to be romantic or what to get him.

  • I had one earlier in the week and now I forget....what else is new!

@becca_123 I never even lurk anymore because it's either crickets or too extra for me, as you said.  I really enjoyed HDBD from months ahead of us.
  • @May14th2011 Same! I binge watched so many shows DDs first year. Plus kids shows are annoying why would you do that to yourself.

  • DD was not really a cute infant. It took her sometime to grow into her face. She’s a super cute 3yo’s now but these early days were not the best. DS, on the other hand, was the cutest newborn/baby. I feel so bad comparing them but DS was wayyy cuter.

  • I told my BFF to be completely unbiased and let me know if my baby isn't all that cute. Some babies just aren't and I don't want the fact that it's my kid to cloud my judgement.

@dinodna3 - I had the same exact experience with my kids!  My DD was also not the cutest newborn, she looked like a puffy old man.   We knew it too.  She's 3 and absolutely gorgeous now, and we laugh about it all the time.  My Son was like Gerber baby cute from birth!
  • The main reason I feel the need to have an instantly cute newborn is bc my niece is SUPER CUTE. She's been cute since day one and I am sooooooo obsessive over her (not just bc she's cute but thats a part of it). Like I'm always bragging about how cute she is and how she looks JUST like me, she looks nothing like my sister (and its not just me, everyone agrees she's my clone/ twin/ surrogate daughter). Now whenever people ask I just joke and say since we're having  a boy I just expect him to look like DH since I already have my twin.

  • DH even mentioned when we found out we were having a boy that there was no way another little girl could compete with my niece. She's too cute, great personality, so funny, even her voice is cute. She's done everything perfect (as perfect as a 2 yr old can be). She slept soundly through our wedding ceremony in the next room at 8 months old, she was perfect at the reception not one cry or fuss (she was the only baby there), she takes naps and goes to sleep on schedule, she slept/sleep through the night from an early age, breast fed and bottle fed with no problems, weened with no problems, she's not annoying, loud or fussy. She really puts other babies and toddlers to shame by comparison.

  • This is great! I always wondered if parents are able to tell if their kid is not so cute, but how do you ask someone that?

@doxiemoxie212 I'm with you. I hope this little nugget is at least kinda cute as a newborn.
