As a somewhat newbie here, I was thinking the other day about how I'd love to get to know more about people besides just when everyone is ovulating    Looking forward to reading through your answers!

1. Where are you in your fertility journey?

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? 

1. Currently waiting to find out the results of our third IUI after a CP in round two. Have a consultation set up with a new RE on Saturday which we're excited for, since our current RE hasn't impressed us with his competency.
2. I live in the area of suburban Connecticut that's outside of NYC. I like to think it's the best of both worlds because it takes me about an hour to commute to the city every day, but at night I get to escape to my quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and pretty houses!
3. I trade foreign exchange for a multinational corporation. Basically, I look at numbers all day and buy and sell big amounts of currencies against others on a daily basis  
4. The best trip I've ever been on was our most recent Euro trip last year. We started by spending a few days in Paris before heading to the Amalfi Coast in Italy and wound back around to Tuscany at the tail end. My dream trip would be to the Four Seasons Bora Bora!

@FutureMrsMerati - Your trip sounds amazing! One day I swear I will get over to Europe Sounds like you have a sweet job! 

1. Where are you in your fertility journey? Have my us/bw on monday & if all works out I start stims on thursday.
2. In what area do you live? Outside DC but work 16 miles away  - right outside DC which take me 2-2.5 hours at night - nightmare traffic here
3. What do you do for a living? I'm an IP Trademark/Patent Specialist. I look at Foreign and US actions/dates day in and day out to tell everyone whats due to keep us from getting sued. 
4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Hawaii 8 years ago!  Nature is at your fingertips. Love hiking, swimming etc. Want to go back!

1)- The beginning of IVF #1-  No previous IUIs, we gave it 8 years of trying for baby #2 (see spoiler for full details- TW)

2- The Jersey Shore

3- Nurse- Moved on from Clinical to administrative working for Government Programs with the Biggest health insurance program in NJ

4- Haven't traveled a lot- almost all of my trips have been family vacations, but the best was when Hubby took me to Disney in my twenties since I never went as a kid- We had soooo much fun!

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Best trip was to South Africa when my sister was living there.  She planned the whole trip, we were in northeastern SA and a little time in Mozambique, we went on safari and saw all of the big 5, tracked lions, slept over at an elephant park, swam with whale sharks, delivered food supplies to the local community... she said she packed all the cool stuff they had done over their 8 months there into a week.  It was pretty much amazing!

I’ll play!

1) I am awaiting my April FET! We did our ER in Dec and have 5 PGS normals waiting for us! We went right to IVF due to my age(I’m 37)and MFI(low count 7mil and low morph but plenty for IVF). I also had a septum in my uterus and had Surgery in Jan. 

2) I live in NJ. We split our time between our place up north near the city and our shore house thats an hour south. Even in the winter it’s a nice get away. 

3) I work for the government.

4) best trip ... so many places ...spent 3 month backpacking through Europe(France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands) we were young and stayed in hostels it was a blast!  Love Mexico, caribbean, NOLA,  I LOVE CA SD TO SF that’s where my trips have mainly been the last few years have lots of family and friends there. Dream trip Bali!!

4. Hard to pick just one “best” vacation buy one of the most recent great trips was a group of us from my first BMB from 5yrs ago met up in San Diego! Dream trip would be South Africa, Bora Bora, or more of Europe.

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Love Hawaii, think I've talked my DH into going back this year if we can't do Mexico (due to Zika) for a wedding if FET works. I really want to tour Italy, South of France and Bora Bora.

I am a returning former frequent poster. We took about a year off to get my prolactin levels under control but am back and hopefully doing IVF this summer. So happy to get reconnected. 

1. Where are you in your fertility journey?
We’ve been trying on and off for 6+ years. I’ve done many cycles with clomid, femara and injectibles. 2 IUIs and one loss way early in our journey. 

Like i I mentioned above, were moving toward IVF in 2018.

We JUST got home from a week in Cabo. It was heavenly, especially with the *lovely winters in MN.

1. Where are you in your fertility journey?

I had an ER in January got 5 embryos. Three came back PGS abnormal, two inconclusive due to not enough genetic material in biopsy. Rebiopsied those two embryos and waiting for results to see if we can move forward with an FET most likely in April.

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)?  We don’t take vacations often but in the fall we went to Disney with my in-laws and niece and nephew. I never got the chance to go as a kid.  It was a great trip!

1. Where are you in your fertility journey?  TTC #2 since Feb 2017. 6 failed IUIs (one with a loss) and here we are. Waiting for results from my one day workup with a new RE and then for a period and more blood work before starting IVF in May-June.
2. In what area do you live? Memphis

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? We don't take a ton of trips, but I loved Yellowstone when we went. My dream trip is going on an African safari!

2. In what area do you live? Just moved to a suburb outside of Boston

3. What do you do for a living? I am an adjunct English professor at a local university

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? I want to go to Ireland and England! I have family over there and would love to meet them, and would love to explore. I'd want at least two weeks! Cheerio!

1. Where are you in your fertility journey?

We are about to do our fifth iui. My wife has PCOS and will be the one carrying our child (we are two women). We had three BFNs and one CP. We go in for a scan tomorrow to check follicle growth and will probably be triggering then and then doing the iui on Tuesday. Excited for the iui but dreading the TWW. 

2. In what area do you live? 

I live in Central Pennsylvania, about 20 minutes from Penn State University. We have no major cities near us at all, most of tab area surrounding us is rural, with some scatterings of urban development here and there. It's beautiful and I love it, but it's limited, especially with stuff like this. Our RE is an hour away and they are the closest one to us. 

3. What do you do for a living?

I work as a kitchen manager at a "convenience restaurant" called Sheetz. I don't know if any of you have them where you live, I'm sure some of you do. It's entirely family owned, but they have locations in 6 states. It's stressful and long hours, but it's fun with great benefits and a good paycheck. It's considered a good job where I'm from.

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)?

When I was 17 I went with an organization called "people to people" and we traveled through Italy, France, and Spain over tbe
course of 21 days. I loved seeing everything, but I didn't know anyone at all, so it was a great experience, but not the best trip I have ever been on. Recently my wife and I went on a week long winter get away to the poconos and stayed in a half decent hotel, went to the casino, for massages, hung out in the hot tub, and just had a great relaxing time. Was not anything special in terms of location, but it was the best trip I've ever been on. It proves to me that it's not where you go but who you go with

1. Where are you in your fertility journey? Trying for #2. I was just diagnosed with hydrosalpinx in my right tube, waiting to find out if the left is clear. It's been a few years since I got off bc, but I would say we're just beginning considering all the steps that are still ahead.

3. What do you do for a living? Full time nursing student
4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Best trip would have to be to LA to see the walking dead 100th episode premiere. I saw my best friend of 16 years for the first time in almost 8 years and we were able to get pictures with a lot of the cast. It was pretty awesome. I lived in Germany for a couple years, but I didn't travel like I should've. I'd love to travel through Europe, visit Africa, or go on a Caribbean cruise.

@ndz2018 Where about is your shore house? We were thinking about buying one if we aren't expecting by the summer. We've got friends with houses on Monmouth Beach/Long Branch and it's a lot of fun to visit - heading there in a few weeks for a party.

Just had surgery last Thursday to remove endometriosis, remove cysts, and remove a tube. Plan is to start IVF in 3 months.

Aruba! It's the one place we always go back to. It's BEAUTIFUL and the people are just so friendly! My dream trip is also Bora Bora!

I'm in the middle of my first IVF, just had ER this morning.
We've been TTC since 2015.

2. In what area do you live? 

I live in Italy! I've been here for almost 5 years now, I'm from Ireland.

3. What do you do for a living?

Kindergarten teacher.

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)?

It's a hard one to answer but I think I'd have to go with South Africa. I went on a volunteering trip in a wildlife park and it was basically like being on safari for 10 weeks.
It was a truly amazing experience and I had so many "I can't believe I'm actually here" moments. 
There are also so many beautiful places here in Italy I feel like I'll never run out of places to visit here.
My dream trip would actually be to take a year out and just travel the world, there are just so many places I'd like to see.

1. Where are you in your fertility journey? Trying for #2 with a brand new retrieval cycle hopefully in a few months. I've been on the bump for a few years now, have gone through 7 months of clomid, 3 IUI's and 1 full IVF/FET cycle.

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Our honeymoon in Hawaii is at the top of the list, followed by Italy (Venice and Florence are my absolute faves!)

1. Where are you in your fertility journey?   We have been TTC #2 for about 10 months now.  We met with an RE for the first time in December, but test results just showed unexplained infertility.   That, combined with my age, led us to choose IUI as our immediate action plan, then moving to IVF if necessary after three rounds of IUI.  We are about to do our first IUI on Monday, which is my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary!  Hoping that brings good luck.

3. What do you do for a living?  Urban Education Leadership: I'm currently an Assistant Principal at a great diverse neighborhood elementary school on the west side.
4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Our honeymoon in Hawaii was the best for a lot of reasons beyond the location.  It was so fun to be celebrating and carefree for a few weeks.  Looking forward to repeating that on our 10th anniversary.

Thanks for this post! I've been on a break for a couple months and I feel like I don't really fit in anywhere, so I have gotten so disconnected from this board But this seems like the perfect way to get back in it and to come out of hiding

1. Where are you in your fertility journey? **On a break** Our last 2 IUI's were really hard on me (physically and emotionally) and our RE has "strongly suggested" IVF. We currently can't afford it, so we're trying to figure out what our next step is and how to plan for it...

3. What do you do for a living? I work for a passenger railroad company. I process various types of paper work similar to what someone in HR would do...  

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? My (and my husband's) dream trip is Paris! But I really haven't been anywhere excited thus far. We're taking out first trip out of the country to Cancun this summer. I'm so excited, I already want to start packing lol

1. Where are you in your fertility journey? Did 3 IUIs in 2017 before having surgery to have a uterine septum removed in November 2017.  IVF with fresh transfer in January 2018.  Transfer for FET #1 on March 2, 2018.

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? Best trip I have been on is a trip we took summer 2016 to London and Ireland (spent a week in London and a week traveling around Ireland!)  I'd love to go back to the UK and visit Scotland!

4. Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? The best trip I ever went on was a cruise to Alaska with my husband and my best friend's family. Alaska is amazing and I tell everyone that they need to go. I plan to go back once we have kids (fx). My dream vacation is Japan...I love Japanese culture and want to immerse myself completely!

Fun one: What's the best trip you've ever been on (and/or what is your dream trip)? When I was 7 my family took us on a two week RV trip out to California and back in the most scenic route possible visiting as many monuments and national parks as we could.  This is my best trip and also my dream trip to do with my hubby and future child one day.
