I have a question! Im currently 18 weeks pregnant and went from 12D to a 12DD (Aus sizing). Was looking at buying some maternity bras for the hospital. I plan on breastfeeding but I'm not sure what bra size I should get - 12DD or larger?
1. Change your screen name. Knotties are to hard to track. 2. Go back to introduce yourself. 3. Check out the “Read First” thread so you know how this community works. 4. This would of be a good post for the “questions” thread. 5. Looks like this maybe your first post ever since you became a member in November. Go back to step 1.
It depends on a lot of factors. I personally wouldn't buy anything until I am actually needing a bigger size. When you are at about 35 weeks you will have a better idea of what size you need for nursing.
I feel like I was in the wrong size during my pregnancy and time nursing. Like @cseley321 said, it depends on a lot of factors. My size fluctuated quite a bit. I did get sized during my pregnancy and ended up buying the next size up to give room to expand. I was able to use these bras during the time that I nursed too.
@knottie7a9533ad5c83d15c please understand this. Are responses are joking none to be taken too seriously. now keep this in mind. most of us have been together since November and have been through the good, bad and ugly. You essentially just barged in here without so much as an introduction or bothered to read the "read first" pinned post, and essentially wanted to make us your personal google.
we are a fun super supportive once you get to know group of women, but when a stranger comes in with what feels like total disregard for the community we have worked hard to set up l,we tend to have a little fun.
the long and short of it. every one is different some get larger breasts during pregnancy but not as much when milk comes in, some get huge once their milk comes in and some don't see much change at all. at this point we are still a long ways off and if we told you definitively one way or the other and were wrong we could cost you a lot of money. Let's be real nursing bra's arent cheap.
Please do stick around and get to know us though. add your intro to the intro thread and change your screen name so we can get to know you too. also thanks for not immediately getting defensive
