20 weeks! Halfway! Banana/ red swingline stapler, fat stack of cash
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
Constipation. Ugh. And I've tried everything. I think this is just my new normal.
Appointments/US this week
Had our anatomy scan yesterday, things went well even if LO was being a bit of a brat and I had to keep changing positions to try to get him/her to move into a different position.
Random Questions
So so far down the road, but wondering what the STM+ think of peri bottles? Totally needed? If so, is it better to get one like the Fridababy Momwasher or just use the one the hospital provides. Trying to create my lists of things that would be for me vs what the baby needs.
Rants/Raves
My boobs finally don't hurt all the time. It's been months. They feel like they've been filled with concrete and threaten to suffocate me while I sleep, but they don't hurt. So I'll take it!
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre?
No. Just no. I can't get lost in those because they are so unrealistic and all I can think is if someone behaved that way in real life, I'd call the cops because some of that behavior is borderline creepy to me! LOL. Sorry, I'm more of an action/adventure flick kinda girl.
20 weeks! Set a c section date last week so only 18 to go at most
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
Still dealing with SPD and frequent heartburn. Occasional headaches but otherwise nothing too terrible
Appointments/US this week
Have our second anatomy scan a week from today (with twins they like to do an early one so we already had one at 17w) then fetal echo a few days after that

I think I’m ok on the question front for now
Rants/Raves
Feel like I am getting enormous and just terrified for how big I’ll be by the end. I’ve gained 23 lbs so far (was aiming for 20-25 by now so in the right range). Twin stuff starting to feel super real looking like this at just past the halfway point...
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? I am not a movie person in general. Give me a good tv show to marathon any day
I’ve been getting headaches, dizziness and super fatigued. I told some of you on the symptoms thread- but I fainted on the subway yesterday morning. That was super scary. I had a check up already scheduled for last night- they moved my appointment to 2pm. Long story short the doctor concluded that I need to be eating more in the morning and more frequently in general. I never eat breakfast, and hasn’t even drank water yesterday morning. The doc said I’ve never been 18 weeks pregnant before(which is true) both baby and I are fine. But def not too fun a Valentine’s Day. Hopefully my symptoms will get better just by making that change- if not next step would be a consultation from a cardiologist. I’m just taking it one day at a time. She said fainting is very normal during pregnancy but if it happens to you- you have to let your doctor know.

Should I be concerned that baby won’t show us the goods at our 20 week anatomy scan? I’m planning a surprise gender reveal for my family, and want to make sure we can find out!
Rants/Raves
I feel huge- look pregnant, sleep is getting harder, I’m buying one of those pregnancy pillows this weekend. Not sure which one I’ll get. I know we have all talked about them quite a bit- so I’ll look through the old threads to see what people recommend.
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? i love romance anything, maybe A walk to Remember- but that’s because I’m a huge book person and read the book before the movie- oh or 50 First dates- love the comedy/ romance!
@moguippy I don’t think it’s too early- but I’m a FTM here so maybe one of the STM’s can answer. My opinion is it’s not too early- I know my sister said she was planning to do mine in early May- maybe even April- because I’m terrible with counting weeks- what month will you be 28 weeks?

Heartburn - not severe but I’ve literally only ever had heartburn once in my life so it’s super annoying to get it every night now.
Appointments/US this week
Got to hear the heartbeat today! It was amazing!
Random Questions
Does anyone have a Doppler? Would you recommend it?
Rants/Raves
Just the heartburn. It sucks
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? Love romcoms! Can’t really think of a favorite. When I was in high school it was “how to lose a guy in 10 days” lol
@catftm2018 di/di twins aren’t able to go later than 38 weeks so we booked it for when I’m exactly 38 weeks. Pretty much expecting to go sooner than that but cool to have a date on the calendar!
@catftm2018 I'm beyond the hope of prunes at this point. I've never really had this problem before, so it's making me crazy! And none of my go-to solutions are working anymore. Hot water with lemon, prunes, etc. Someone posted a recipe yesterday for some prune, applesauce, bran concoction, sounds horrible, but I'm going to give it a try anyway.
@noideawhatshesdoing re: peri bottle. Soooo needed! Seriously it’s life changing, but I wouldn’t purchase one when the hospital provides it, you don’t need anything fancy. I think the only thing I purchased were those tucks/witch hazel-y pads? Maybe someone can give me a refresher, it’s been a while. But they were amaaaaazingggg @catftm2018 I wouldn’t worry too much, my tech had to go back a few times to get a peek at the goods this time. Last time DS was spread eagled the whole time, very clearly a boy lol. @ashbub714 I looove my Doppler, but I really don’t use it much once I start feeling movement. Feeling wiggles is more reassuring than a HB for me, but it is nice to hear from time to time.
How far along today? How big is baby? 20 weeks! Banana
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms
My bum rib is not happy about all the extra space baby is taking up. Some heartburn when I eat certain things. Oh and gas that could kill. Really. It’s bad.
Appointments/US this week
Whole lotta nothing until next month

Finally looking visibility pregnant and not just chubby! I should probably wear more mat clothes instead of my usual oversized sweaters, I’m sure that’s not helping.
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre?
I can do a good rom com, I think my favorite would be horror/thriller but mostly because I can’t watch them often because DH is a baby and wouldn’t sleep for weeks if he watched one with me.
How far along today? How big is baby? 19 +1... size of a mango, or a Gameboy
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms nothing new here, same ole...lol
Appointments/US this week had a check up baby is doing good HB was 140
Random Questions is the community part of the App not working for anyone else?
Rants/Raves Big Rant, 2 separate doc apts this week, I was at appointment 15 mins early, both times I didn't speak with the docs for more than 40 mins after my scheduled appointment. I mean I get it things happen and running beind happens. BUT if I were late it would be an issue. 10, 15 even 20 mins I can understand but over 40 mins that's insanity to me.
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? I like em all...
@wysmom14 sometimes I have to re-log into the community in the app- even if it says I’m already logged in- that’s the only way I can get it to work sometimes. Regarding you rant: I had the same problem with my Doc, but I’ve gone at all different times of the day- starting st 7am- those first appointments are always on time! Early even- and the afternoon ones are always behind. Even my pushed up appointment this week was at 2:15- and I didn’t see anyone until 2:50.
@ashbub714 if you aren't feeling movement and can buy one without waiting for shipping or have it in a couple days, then sure! I love mine. I am not feeling consistent big movement yet so I use mine every other week or so to check the hearbeat. I just have the pokes and flickers so it makes me feel better.
How far along today? How big is baby? 17 weeks on thursday, 17+2 today. A Large order of McDonalds Fries or Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms: Occasional headaches still, and I still have a hemorrhoid but it doesn't seem to be bothering me as much. other than that things are going pretty good!
Appointments/US this week-Had blood draw for the second part of my integrated screening.
Random Questions
Rants/Raves- I said this in another thread but I can't believe how fast things are going! After my anatomy scan in two weeks only 5 appts until I'm seen every week! I know that is still a lot of months but when you break it down to appts it seems so few!
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre I like action movies a lot, fast cars and things exploding, fight scenes. Or a movie with a good twist. I don't mind romance but don't watch them often anymore because I usually compromise with DH. A guilty pleasure author of mind is Nicholas Sparks, I used to get the book for my grandma every year and even with Alzheimer's towards the end of her life she still seemed to remember it was our thing, and I like some of the movies based on his books. The Notebook, obviously, A Walk to Remember, but haven't seen the more recent ones. I do share the complaint that the romance genre is very unrealistic and I have trouble suspending reality to believe in the love, lol.
Re: Thursday Ticker Change 2/15
I can do a rom com. But I also like action
