Random Questions Anyone else wishing badly for summer??
Rants/Raves I was having a pretty crappy start to the day so DH brought me some fresh flowers and a box of sweethearts. Made my day!
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? What is your least favorite genre? I personally love them! A guilty pleasure of mine. I like all the cheesy ones (Notebook, Walk to Remember, You've Got Mail) but my absolute favorite is Serendipity! Not sure why. Besides romance, I prefer Disney movies (LOL) or the action/super hero movies. I hate horror! I just get too scared LOL.
I was waiting for this thread yesterday and then forgot to come back and check for it! Yay!
How far along today? How big is baby? 19 weeks - the size of an heirloom tomato!
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms Pain around my belly button and my right side. Talked to my doc and it turns out that the side pain is from carrying DD (no surprise there) and the belly button pain is a possible hernia.
Appointments/US this week We had our big ultrasound on Monday and found out that we're having a BOY! He was VERY active so it took awhile for her to get the shots she needed. Neither DH or I could tell ahead of time what the gender was because we kept getting confused on what we were looking at - he kept flipping from breech to head down! Once he slowed down a bit he was very showy of what was between his legs though. LOL My doc was like "Guys you had better get ready because this baby is going to give you a run for your money!"
Random Questions Anyone else have experience with a hernia? I'm worried about it but don't want to Google it.
Rants/Raves This will be a confession for me instead: I already went online and bought $40 in clearance boys clothes yesterday even though I know we have nephews that will pass along clothes and a church friend who already told me "If it's a boy I have so much stuff to get rid of".
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? I like romantic comedies a lot more than straight up romance movies. I do like Serendipity, I think it's one of my favorites!
How far along today? How big is baby? 20 weeks baby is the size of a belgium endive whatever that is haha New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms nausea is back in full force ugh Appointments/US this week had our anatomy scan yesterday found out we are having another girl and she looks great! Random Questions none Rants/Raves just want the random puking to stop and my toddler to sleep through the night again! Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? I have to be in a mood to watch them but I don't really have a favorite. I do know there has to be some comedy not just all sappy
How far along today? How big is baby? 19 weeks -- Mango! Over halfway there!
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms A little swelling in the feet and ankles
Appointments/US this week I asked my dr if it was okay if we skip a week of appointments this week since my bleeding has subsided from the SCH. But we have our MFM appt on Monday!
Random Questions
Rants/Raves Our office gave us donuts this morning for Valentines. I ate 2. Bc. Ya'know.
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? I adore My Best Friend's Wedding
How far along today? How big is baby? 16 weeks. Baby is the size of an avocado
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms: still with the exhaustion, not being able to sleep through the night, acne—cystic bumps keep popping up! Ugh. Headaches at least 2-3x a week
Appointments/US this week: had an appt yesterday. After my OB freaked me out Monday with a phone call regarding our NT scan results (no chromosome abnormalities or risk of Down syndrome) it was nice to get clarification on the low levels she was talking about. I am low in HCG levels and will need closer monitoring and ultrasounds as a precaution. Apparently that is a risk factor for growth restriction/early delivery.
Random Questions: anyone have good pregnancy safe skincare recommendations for acne? I had to forgo using my usual benzoyl peroxide treatment and have been using Belli Beauty products along with their sulfur spot treatment but it’s not doing much.
Rants/Raves: ranting about work—just tired of being taken advantage of by my coworker who comes and goes as she pleases and I have to pick up her slack. I’m having to do her dumb golpher work for my boss when she isn’t around and she knows I’m dealing with a lot this week. Super inconsiderate.
Also I ordered flowers for my mom to be delivered on valentine’s Day and of course they are delayed and not arriving until tomorrow.
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? More like romantic comedies. The Wedding Singer is one of my favorites.
Sorry @krystlerr, knock on wood, I haven't had any trouble with acne so I don't have any advice! I feel like several others have mentioned it though - maybe ask in the Questions weekly thread?
Glad they could explain your test results and have a plan. And glad that it's precautionary, not something big to worry about!
How far along today? How big is baby? 17+2 (because I'm late in posting). Pomegranate.
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms Tired, have to pee all the time.
Appointments/US this week I just had my anatomy scan this morning (with the MFM, who apparently does it a bit earlier than 20 weeks)!! Baby looks healthy!!!!! 4 heart chambers, no sign of spina bifida, organs all look normal, AND I found out that the first part of my combined genetic screening came back as normal!!! I'm absolutely thrilled. I was really worried that my antidepressants might have caused some abnormalities. We're not finding out the sex, so I closed my eyes during the lower body part of the scan. I was so proud of myself for not peeking even though I was the only person in the room other than the US tech! I'm also really excited because my baby had been consistently measuring about 3 days behind throughout the entire pregnancy, but today he/she was measuring 2 days AHEAD! Yay!!
Random Questions Nah
Rants/Raves See my rave above about how excited I am that my baby looks healthy so far.
Are you a fan of romance movies? If so, what is your favorite? If not, what is your preferred genre? Not a huge fan of romance movies for some reason. I LOVE action, sci-fi-and fantasy movies though. And Disney/kids' movies. ETA: And superhero movies. I'm a huge fan of all the Marvel movies and can't wait to see Black Panther.
@MichelleAG05 My baby was SUPER active during the ultrasound, too! The US tech said "this baby is so active it's cracking me up."
@MichelleAG05 I didn't realize how much they push on your uterus until this US haha! I guess because the baby is so much bigger now I was able to feel it more and thought "hmm this is actually a little uncomfortable." Thanks for the warning about the soreness!
Re: Tuesday Ticker Change 02/13
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms Constipation, gas, emotional/mental changes
Appointments/US this week None for a couple weeks
