How did this week go for you?
This week went well. I got my 3, hour long workouts in.

How are you feeling about your exercise?
Feeling ok, but a lot more sluggish the last 20 minutes.

GTKY: Have you had to modify your workout yet? If not, do you plan on modifying anytime soon?
I haven't  modified yet, but I wasdoing 4 or 5 days a week before my bfp.
One of the other gym regulars asked if I'm still doing the hour long, twice around workout and was very surprised I was still doing it. I told him I doubt I'll be doing it much longer. I am just so tired the last stretch that I may start cutting back soon.
My goal has been to make it that 30 weeks still working out. If that means only doing rhe regular 30 minute workout, then that's still great in my mind.
I guess we'll see what happens next week and if I can still keep up with myself.

  • @suchaglencoco sounds like you had a good week!  You’ll know when you need to modify and that will buy you more weeks working out before you have to call it (or not).

How did this week go for you? Not great. I went Monday and Thursday but I had a funeral on Wednesday- that exhausted me more than any workout I’ve done in ages! My feet were sore for two days.

How are you feeling about your exercise? Unfortunately I think I’m in my last few weeks of my HIIT class. I’ve dropped almost all weights because, hello, I’ve got 30 extra lbs now. I modify so much that it really changes the intensity and defeats the purpose of the class. At my appointment on Tuesday my midwife suggested pool handstands to get baby boy to flip, so I may start heading to the pool for workouts soon. I’ll still go to my dance class probably right up to my due date like I did last time.

GTKY: Have you had to modify your workout yet? If not, do you plan on modifying anytime soon?
I’ve been modifying for over a month now.
  • @MissusTexas, I'm not too familiar with what's involved with the HIIT classes. What were the weights used in?

How did this week go for you? Good. I missed a workout for the first time since 1/1, but I was so over exhausted that I really needed to just go to bed.

How are you feeling about your exercise? I’m in a routine and I’m sticking to it. It feels good and is helping me with my stress.

GTKY: Have you had to modify your workout yet? If not, do you plan on modifying anytime soon? I gave up running back in December.

@suchaglencoco you’ll know when you need to modify. It was really clear to me with DS and this time when to stop running.

    @MissusTexas pool workouts sound nice!
  • @MissusTexas, I'm not too familiar with what's involved with the HIIT classes. What were the weights used in?
This particular class is called MX4 and what we do/use changes every time. We use slam balls and Dynamax balls of different weights (6-30 lbs) landmines, which are barbells so you can add weights as usual, sometimes we use dumbbells or kettlebells, resistance bands, TRX, weighted horizontal bars, bosu balls, rower, and the S-Drive (self-propelled treadmill). So when I get to a station that has, for example, dynamax balls that we throw up and catch, Ive gone from using the 20lb to 6lb, I don’t even get on the bosu balls anymore, slam balls I am down to 10lbs and I don’t even add weight on the land mine at this point.
  • @MissusTexas Pool workouts sound like a good idea at this point. I like the idea of the weightlessness at this point. We aren’t members of a gym, but it sounds nice!
@suchaglencoco A lot of teachers I work with keep asking when I’m going to quit running. I just say I’m not stopping until my doctor or body tell me to quit!  Good for you to keep on the workouts and listening to your body.
@mileswithmyles I definitely think that the workouts help me manage the stress. Dh tells me to go run whenever I get especially “charming”.

How did this week go for you?
I finished my 15k Sunday!  Glad that it’s over. Finishing a run always makes me want to sign up for another. There’s a local half in March I’m halfway considering.
How are you feeling about your exercise?
Good! Listening to my body and slowing way down.
GTKY: Have you had to modify your workout yet? If not, do you plan on modifying anytime soon?
I go way way slower and shorter distances for the most part. I’m still running everyday. I’m on day 427 so it keeps me motivated to keep running! I’ve started running with some other teachers that are just starting to run. It really helps bc they want to go slow too. Running partners really make a difference.

  • I missed last week but I'm happy to see you ladies still here. :)
@roomsu Awesome job with the 15k and the running! I am the same way, I can always tell a difference in my mood on days I do/don't workout. Especially if I have plans to and for some reason they fall through.
@MissusTexas Do we have to start worrying about what position baby is in around now?

How did this week go for you? Good! Still running and lifting. I made it to the gym 5 times. It's also been easier time wise since (well FTM) and DH is out of town during the weeks these days. I did a yoga video twice last week so I'm hoping to be motivated this week again.

How are you feeling about your exercise? Good. I've actually noticed less tightening/stretching in my abdomen during my runs. I'm not sure if I have been drinking more water or what.

GTKY: Have you had to modify your workout yet? If not, do you plan on modifying anytime soon?

Yeah I've been running slower all along. Other than that I still don't do much core because to me it just feels bad. I also skip things like jump squats and just do static squats/lunges.
  • @rachelg777 she said they don’t really worry until about 35 weeks but did suggest some things to start trying such as playing music/talking/shining a light down low and doing handstands in the pool.
  • I'm really late on this, but gonna post anyway.

@MissusTexas dang that HIIT gym you go to sounds super intense. Good for you.

@roomsu Wow. Day 427 of running! That is amazing. I'm super impressed.

    How far along?
I was 27w5d on Friday. So late to posting.

How did this week go for you?
Last week was okay. Two of my classes were canceled (bad weather and I dunno the other reason) and I had a baby class all day last Sunday so I had to miss some of my regular workouts. I got one run in, but was hoping for two.

How are you feeling about your exercise?
Okay. I am trying not to beat myself up if I miss a day. I am getting really tired lately so the past few Sundays have involved napping instead of running.

GTKY: Have you had to modify your workout yet? If not, do you plan on modifying anytime soon?
Yup, quit regular kickboxing almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant. My barre class made me start modifying at 20 weeks (no flat back fold over positions, nothing flat on my back, knees for push ups, propped up crunches, etc.). I also am so so slow when I run and can't seem to find the energy to run more than 2 miles at a time. Just gonna try to keep moving as long as possible :)

  • @MissusTexas that's interesting. I actually went up a weight in a couple different exercises because I've been doing more arm work and less burpees, mountain climbers and such. But I'm not throwing weights around, ha.

@roomsu congrats on the 15k!!!! So cool!

@silverhope, running 2 miles is 2 more miles than I could do non pregnant!!!

I am so excited you guys. DH is taking off work tomorrow for Valentine's day which means I get to work out tomorrow morning as part of my Valentine's gift, haha. We did the same thing last year and it actually makes me very proud of myself for keeping up with the gym for this long!  And still loving it! And while pregnant! That's a huge deal to me because I've never stuck with any workout for more than a month or 2 and now I'm over 14 months.

  • @suchaglencoco you are rocking it!  You should be really proud!
  • @suchaglencoco I love that going to the gym is part of your Valentine's gift :) -- and it is a gift! A gift to your body/health/wellbeing.

You have one sweet, supportive husband.

  • Thank you @mileswithmyles.

@silverhope, he's super sweet and overly supportive sometimes, haha. I mentioned the other night "oh yeah, you took off Valentine's day" and he responded with "yup, so you can go to the gym whenever you want!"
I may have been super lame and purposefully saved my pink workout shirt to wear for tomorrow...
  • @suchaglencoco we must have started working out around the same time! Enjoy your vday gift!
It is interesting because even though I know I’ve been doing more arms I also feel weaker in them somehow. Not sure what that’s about.

the MX4 class is just a class our Y added last year but it has been a hit.
