I am super stressed about the fact that during my vacation my period never came. I am currently 11 days late cd46. I've had a negative blood test and my doctor prescribed 5mg of Letrozole to start taking immediately. I've never taken it before but this is a double dose. I guess I'm looking for anyone else who has skipped a period and Letrozole was successful in that cycle? Or any advice on being successful on Letrozole?
Hi, (TW in siggy) I'm not really on this board any more but I lurk from time to time. I had to do that earlier this year - the doctor gave me a progesterone tablet to bring on a period, but it didn't work. So even though I didn't have a period they got me to start taking Letrozole anyway. The Letrozole was successful that cycle in the sense that I ovulated well - 2 mature eggs And 5mg was my regular dose each cycle - 5mg once a day for 5 days (CD3-7). On the cycle I had no period, they just recorded the day I started the Letrozole as CD3 (even though it was really CD40-something).
I hope this helps - good luck
