This probably should be “what isn’t making me cry” instead because literally everything has been making me cry. The main reason I haven’t watched the latest episode of This is Us yet.

For me it was going in to DD's room last night and watching her sleep. She is going to be 3 in June and it's just killing me how quickly she is growing up! While she's sleeping she still looks like she did as a tiny baby and it made me go on a crying tangent last night panicking about how soon she will be in school, and how she will react to having a baby sister. This is baby no. 2 for us so sometimes worrying about how it will change my relationship with my first really gets to me! My mom just keeps telling me it's so normal to worry about that but once baby is here I won't remember life without her either!
@lalala2004 just you typing that has me tearing up
Apparently my body's new reaction to stress is to cry. New assignment at work that is a complete disaster? Cry. Government shutting down even for a few hours on a day that I need to be at work? Sob.
OMG I have been a hot crying mess for 2 days with DH gone, which usually doesn't cause tears and I am usually a somewhat non-emotional person. Plus, DS cried this morning at drop off so then I started sobbing sitting on the little kid couch hugging him. I spent most of this morning wanting to cry while working on analyzing an employee engagement survey to translate into a presentation.
I watched this week's episode of SVU last night, that was a horrible decision. It is a hugely controversial episode and it hit me so bad in the feels, I cried almost the whole episode.

Oh no, DH wants to watch that because he is weirdly stoked about the Sam Waterston cameo. Thank you for preparing me!
@legallykate I will not spoil it for you but it's a very hot topic and it just hit me in the feels. Plus something major happens with one of my favorite characters so I cried about that too.
My DS turned one on Wednesday and of course that came with all the feels. He’s my sweet baby, and sometimes I hate that I will make him a big brother so soon and divide my attention with yet another person. I cried putting him to bed for the last time as a “baby” aka non one year old.

My son is almost two but I get what you mean about dividing the attention...the way I look at it is we are giving them an amazing gift, a friend for life, someone to always have their back. Aaaaaand then that might make you tear up too like it does me
I got a little teary eyed this evening at the thought of DS making the baby laugh. He loves to be funny so I’m sure it’ll ramp up when he has a captive audience.
Also, putting ds to bed tonight. He was wearing his plaid flannel pjs from Christmas and he looks so old in them. It felt like a glimpse of what he will look like as an older kid or teen or even a man. *SOB*
@calimom2524 that was a ROUGH episode. So many tears.
DS turned 3 on Thursday and putting him in bed on Wednesday was emotional. Three years went by way too quickly.

We had an emergency last night, so we had to run home, let or dog out, and then put her in her crate. Normally she's free to roam, but when we come home and leave suddenly, she tends to chew stuff up. The safest bet is to put her in her crate in those situations. I cried because she had to be crated.
I think someone else mentioned this, but those Paraolympic commercials are hitting me. I NEVER tear up - and I felt my eyes getting misty when they came on last night.
I also broke down and had a full on sob fest in the OR waiting room yesterday. I think it was just stress + fear + hating surgery (I've had a lot) that just did it - but I think the nurse got caught off guard cuz I was smiling and happy one second then a disaster the next.

Personally I found it out of character for him. Like it came out of nowhere. That made it less emotional for me. I was like WTF is happening right now?
@lalala2004 I think they maybe needed a quick reason for him to leave or something. It’s the only reason I could think of because I agree, it wasn’t his normal character. I laughed out loud when Olivia said “you wear suspenders and a belt”

Should have killed him off. Remember that storyline when he was getting all of those threats? Nothing came of that, they just never mentioned it again. I’ve watched this show too much
@elsieisamoocow I know at you mean. Sometimes multiple episodes pile up on my Tivo because I'm not ready for the emotion.
Today the Olympics are getting me. South Korean women in the speedskating relay, specifically. Their skater fell and then they CAUGHT UP to the other teams and finished first. The crowd went nuts. I couldn't handle it. It's going to be a teary 17 days for me. All the moments.
