Weekly check in for people who are due the fifth week of May: 5/27-6/2
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? Apparently I am at the point in pregnancy where I can’t remember what week I am in. I had to look it up on the app! Sorry third born child- I promise to remember your birthday! I am 23 weeks and 5 days. Size of a grapefruit this week.
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I just finishedwatching This is Us which gave me a good, healthy cry which sometimes you just need during pregnancy (or life). My one rant is all my coworkers who haven’t gotten the flu shot and people who come to work sick. I am taking every precaution not to get sick but it makes it hard when others you have to work close to do not. We have had 3 people in our relatively small office test positive for the flu. I know at least two of them didn’t get the flu shot. I am so close to wearing a face mask to work! I have already perfected opening over door with my foot or elbow.
Any upcoming appointments? I had my monthly check up last week. After my next appointment we will switch to bi-weekly which feels like a big milestone! I love my midwife so I really enjoy my appointments!
GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be? I would have them cook for me and my family- even if it was just one meal- I hate meal planning and I am not a big fan of cooking. Life would be so much easier if someone else could just do it for me.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 23.4 two grapefruits!
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Had my in law baby shower this past weekend and my family one is this Sat! Excited! Have been feeling pretty good overall still
Any upcoming appointments? Have my monthly appt and glucose test on Thursday
GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be? Not sure...probably would be able to answer this better in a couple months when I'm busy mom of twins
@hotmessmamax3I’m so nervous about the flu this year! If you are sick stay home! Don’t get everyone else sick too. How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 23 weeks the size of a grapefruit
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Feeling pretty good just tired all the time.
Any upcoming appointments? Not until next week. I can’t wait to switch to biweekly appointments either. GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be? Dishes! Especially the ones that don’t fit or go in the dishwasher!
@doubleblessings1124 I can imagine you will have lots of tasks for a personal assistance! Maybe just someone to take care of you so you can focus on taking care of those babies!
@clee5711 I keep sharing articles about the dangers of the flu and reminding people that there are people in our office who are at high risk of complications. I am probably completely annoying people but I don’t care! I care more about my baby than getting on people’s nerves, We work in a field where you can easily work from home so there is not excuse to come in sick.
Kudos to @hotmessmamax3 ... I feel like we haven’t had a check in, in forever!!!
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
24 weeks, baby girl is due May 29
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
My mom is in town and we are trying to get things organized, errands run etc etc. I just get overwhelmed and indecisive so it’s nice to have her help!
Any upcoming appointments?
not for a few weeks. Will have the glucose test then. Just had a check up last week and all was well. DS got to help with the Doppler and listen to his own heart, and had a blast ((I LLOOVVEEE our birth center))
GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be?
clean. It’s constant with a toddler and two dogs. It’s a full time gig I don’t want.
@hotmessmamax3, thank you for starting this! I had the flu last week. I think the flu shot helped me have a mild case. FX that you don't get it!
@doubleblessings1124, yay for a baby shower! That's exciting! How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24 weeks, May 29th, ear of corn
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I'm worn out! I had the flu a week ago and was out of work for 3 days so I shouldn't be this tired. We have off Friday so I'm hoping DS will sleep in a bit.
DS felt the baby move this weekend. He was so excited! He started yelling, "She's coming, Mommy!" I hope he's still this excited when she is here to stay.
Any upcoming appointments? Nothing until the end of the month. It'll be my GD test and then she said I'll be coming every 2 weeks! That makes it seem so close to having this girl! I'm so ready to have her already. 16 weeks feels so far away!
GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be? I'm with @holli080. I'd want someone to clean. After working all day, I want to come home to a clean house but I'm so tired and don't want to spend time cleaning. If I had to pick something it would be laundry. I hate doing all laundry.
@JNCPro3130 so sorry you had the flu! Everyone I know who has had it is still super tired even after they are considered flu free. Get all the rest you can (easier said then done when you work and have a little one already)
@hotmessmamax3, YES! People are definitely comfortable asking or commenting on my pregnancy now. One lady said today, "Wow! You're really round!" I said that she was definitely growing, but that I still have 16 weeks. She said, "Oh wow! Bless you." LOL Maybe I should be offended. People said I have popped.
I’m kind of happy to be bigger because I felt like my bump was still looking like a beer gut last week but I would be ok with not growing much more because there is a lot of pregnancy left and I enjoy being able to see my toes!
@hotmessmamax3 I agree I’m happy to look pregnant and not fat but am not looking forward to that point of not seeing your feet and having to hope for the best when shaving lol
@clee5711 when I was 40 weeks pregnant with my son I decided to do some downtown grooming which was the worst idea because right after having him, when I could finally see past my belly I was horrified at the scene and even more horrified when I realized how many nurses and midwifes and seen my hack job.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24 +3, 5/29, cantelop
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Tired most days, my dog needed to go out at midnight, 2, again probably at 3 but dh just picked him up and put him in bed (he's a big black lab) so that made sleep not so good when he started panting and shaking the bed. Then at 5:30 he was very gassy so I had to take him out of rush puking because of the smell. I swear he's trying to prep me for the lack of sleep with a baby.
Today is Friday and dh has a grad class tomorrow so I get to sleep in because he'll let the dog out when he leaves.
Any upcoming appointments? I had my 24 week appointment this week. It was pretty uneventful except we drove to it during a big snow storm that closed most schools for the afternoon. Next appointment we start the ever 2 week ones. I'm in the same boat as others that I can't believe it's so close to the end, but at the same time I'm thinking it's so far away.
GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be? Toss up between a TA who would do all my grading or a personal organizer who would organize everything in my house and classroom. I can clean do laundry and dishes, I just hate putting stuff away and finding places to put things. @hotmessmamax3 I'm with you on finally looking pregnant and not just fat. I'm looking forward to seeing my family, and especially my mom at the end of the month because I haven't seen them since Christmas and at that point I was just chunkier. (also thanks for starting this up, I feel we haven't had a check in, in forever)
@clee5711 on the shaving front, I'm debating starting waxing again. I stopped when I was having an appointment like every 2 weeks at the beginning because I felt bad with how hairy I was when I showed up for an us but my waxing appointment was 2 days later. I had a student ask me after school yesterday, does Mr. H (they all had him in middle school) shave you now that you have a big belly. It felt very personal and I just told her, I'm not that fat yet.
On the flu homefront, we have kids dropping like flies from classes. On one hand I have the fact that I'll have to stay late to reteach them the lessons they're missing, on the other is sent some home because I'm terrified of getting the flu this year. I make my freshmen lysol all the tables and chairs during their class and wash my hands multiple times a day, sometimes I go to the bathroom just to wash my hands.
@jhysmath I feel you with the dog. We have an older dog who needs to pee anywhere from one-one hundred times on any given night add that with me needing to get up to pee and a toddler who still doesn’t always sleep through the night I am exhausted- can’t evwn imagine throwing a newborn into the nighttime revolving door mix.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24 weeks 3 days. 5/29. A corn I think lol What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Actually feeling a lot better this week. No more cold! And some energy!
Any upcoming appointments? Had an appt on Tuesday heard the heartbeat. Pretty quick in and out of there. GTKY: If you could have a personal assistant whose job was to do just one task for you everyday, what would it be? I'm with the above someone to clean my house bc it always feels like it's a disaster lol
