@Secretstapler that sounds like such a great idea! I’d be into that. I feel like a lot of new moms make friends through their birthing/newborn care classes that are offered through the hospital or nursing groups when baby is born. I plan to attend a nursing group. I didn’t with my first and I regret not taking advantage of making those friendships. You’ll have to let us know how the first one goes!
@ecwk Ha, that's the tricky part for me, actually following up. But I'm determined to try! I'm not on Facebook, but I'd imagine we can work something out. And I'd love to bring DH, but all of the appointments are Tuesday afternoons, so he'll be at work. Oh, but he's a teacher, so it's hard to take time off during school, but he'll be on summer break for third trimester! That'll be really fun!
@ladygali I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I'm feeling a lot more excited than anxious now.
@ladygali sorry, just catching up on this thread and thought I might be helpful to you. I've been vegetarian for 16 years and went through my last pregnancy vegetarian as well. I'm totally available if you need any help! I learned how animals were treated through the meat industry and I was done immediately. I never liked meat to begin with, so that certainly made things easier and I've never once missed it. I drink a protein shake (vega one brand) in the morning and add fruit and powdered peanut butter for more protein. I eat tons of nuts and seeds and snack often. We get weekly meals from Blue Apron, Plated, or Hello Fresh, which all do vegetarian options and really help with meal variety. Good luck
I had my NT scan on Monday and the tech had to really press down to get the shots she needed and now I'm all sore in my abdominal area. Not unbearably so but definitely uncomfortable in certain positions. Anyone have experience with this?

Late to the party, but +1 for a body pillow over the snoogle! The snoogle was just too big and bulky for me. I used a regular body pillow with DS and I still sleep with it every night.
We weren't going to do generic blood testing, but now opted for it since I’ll be 35 at delivery and DH is a couple years older than me. My OB called in the order, so I’m going to the lab tomorrow at lunch. Question - how long do results usually take? I know it’s been discussed, but there were all different tests talked about and I know they all vary! also, I previously scheduled my NT scan for next Tuesday. Is it still necessary if I’m now doing the Panorama??
My results took 7-10 days I'd say. The office never called when they came in, and I got tired of waiting and called on around Day 12 and the nurse said they'd been in for "a while now". I asked at my last visit if I'd be doing the NT scan as well and he said since I opted for the genetic testing, he didn't see the point in the added expense of the NT scan. He said the blood tests were 99% accurate, so why waste time and money on something he felt was antiquated now.
@lolog531 I didn’t have the NT scan with my first pregnancy and baby was completely uncooperative for this one. Both times doc said they prefer the NIPT to the NT scan. Results the first time took 10 business days, this time took 4. Both were panorama.
@jsnakehole I’m sorry you’re still sore! I’d call your doc if you’re concerned but sounds like some bruising. No experience but lots of sympathy! I hope you feel better soon!
