need some mommy advice re: baby with fever

Hi everyone, my almost 16 month old had a fever for 5 days. 2 of the 5 days it went to 104/105.  Today is day 6 and so far no temperature.  She had no other symptoms this whole time - you almost wouldn't know something was wrong.  has anyone else experienced this? I feel like i'm losing my mind. I think it bothers me most when docs say "viral" because to me, I still don't know what's wrong. sigh. thank you

I remember going through that with DD when she was around 9 months. The bad news is, generally you're not going to be able to find out exactly what the cause was and you'll just have to wait it out with those pesky viruses (assuming you DID go to the doctor and they told you it was a viral infection), the good news is it usually won't happen again and as long as there are no other symptoms (i.e. vomiting and diarrhea) it's pretty well harmless. Not knowing exactly what the virus is does stink though.
