Introduction (TW losses mentioned )

Hello everyone
I've been on and off the bump for the past 2.5 years while TTC. I'm about to start my first IVF journey and so I thought I'd join in here.
I'm 34, from Ireland but living in Italy with my 39 year old SO.
I've had 2 early MCs (between 6 - 7 weeks) 1 CP, 6 rounds of clomid and 1 IUI.
I've never really been given a diagnosis so I guess it's just unexplained IF.
It seems to be something like PCOS as I have a really high follicle count at the beginning of my cycle which leads to delayed/weak ovulation.
My SO has no issues and all of my blood and hormone tests have been normal so who knows.
There have been times when I've felt like it's just never going to happen for us, like it's some kind of impossible dream that's always just out of our reach.
However I'm feeling hopeful about beginning this new stage.
I'm 34, SO 39
TTC since July 2015
Unexplained infertility - delayed/weak ovulation but don't know why
BFP Feb 2016 MC at 6.5 weeks
Started Clomid November 2016
BFP March 2017 (third cycle on Clomid) HCG failed to rise, MC at 6 weeks.
IUI July 2017 BFP which turned out to be CP
IVF scheduled for Feb 2018

Hi @mcgeeva. I've always managed to confirm ovulation using BBT, and AF always shows up 12 or 13 days after the temp rise.
While using clomid my cycles were monitored with transvaginal ultrasounds which also confirmed O.
*TW I actually did get pregnant on my third round of clomid but it ended in MC.
I guess it may have helped, but I'm hoping the odds will be much better with IVF since they can pick the healthiest-looking embryos.

    Sorry you’re here but welcome.
Will you do your IVF in Italy or go overseas to somewhere you can also do PGS testing?
I’m also in Europe and there are limited countries where genetic testing is allowed without meeting very strict criteria - I think Italy is one of the strictest.

Welcome! I'm sorry for your losses but I'm glad that you are moving forward and I hope that you'd have a smooth and successful IVF.

@emmasemm I'll be doing the IVF in Milan. I was actually wondering about PGS testing. When I first heard about it I was sure it was something I'd want to try since of course I'd like to avoid another loss if at all possible. But having read more about it online recently, I found quite a few articles questioning the reliability of it.
So then I was kind of undecided (although I know Dr. Google is not to be trusted).
It hadn't even occurred to me that it may not be available here. I had my first consultation at the clinic today and when I mentioned PGS the doctor didn't seem too enthusiastic about it but I didn't specifically ask if it was an option or not.
Either way I think with this being our first try at IVF I'm happy to just rely on them to choose the healthiest looking embryos and hope for the best.

One great thing about IVF here is that it's covered by the public health system, which I'm so grateful for.
I don't know how long we would have waited before turning to IVF if we'd had to pay for it, as I'm sure my SO would have wanted to keep trying for a few more years (which I would have found incredibly difficult) before spending huge amounts of money. Through this whole process he's been like "don't worry, it'll happen soon enough", which get's a little old after 2+ years :|

@tinjp78 Thank you for your kind words. I hope we all get the little bundle of joy we're hoping for, infertility is the worst  :s
