Yes, it's toward the end because you share some of the immunity with the baby to protect them before they get their own vaccines. I don't remember exact timing, but your OB/MW will tell you.
Thanks ladies, that helps a bunch! I'll work on getting an appointment made for us both at some point, and after I announce to family I will ask they get theirs as well.
I got the TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) in the hospital after I had DS. That was 7 years ago, so I’m guessing I’ll get another one sometime this pg. I have to go to the state health dept office to get my vaccinations too, so I’ll have to call out and see if they even will take me. Such a PITA.
TDAP like the others said, and my OB strongly recommends the flu shot as well. They'll also test your antibody levels for other things like Rubella, and give you boosters if needed.
I got the TDAP when I was pregnant or shortly after ds was born, I can’t remember which. It honestly never occurred to me to make anyone coming over to get it but it makes perfect sense. Honestly, I wish more docs insisted on vaccination boosters for adults. We are supposed to get them but I don’t think it’s that common. Also, I have no basis for that statement, I could be totally wrong.
Is anyone feeling any pressure in their pelvic region. It’s not intense just present and making me feel funny. Is it possible things are moving around already?
We picked out pediatrician based on recommendations and close to home. We have now moved 25min away, but it’s atill only 5-10 minutes from work and daycare, so we are staying there. Our dr is amazing and we’ve seen others in emergency/sick situations and they’re just as great. I would ask around, read reviews, and I had certain ‘wants’. Separate sick and wellness waiting rooms, affiliated with the hospital we like downtown (there are a couple), same day apppintments, Saturday appointments, I wanted a pediatrician, not a GP. Nothing crazy, but things friends of mine mentioned that I wanted to try and find.
Has anyone contracted the flu while pregnant? Any advice/thoughts?? My eight year old tested positive today for Influenza A. I’m so scared I might get it. And no I did not get flu shot.

Tell your OB. They might want you on tamiflu as a precaution.
@69mil ditto @lalala2004 - call your OB. I'm just getting over the flu and it's been especially rough while pregnant. I hope your little one feels better soon!
Hugs to all of you with the flu and/or with littles with the flu. It's so hard watching them be sick, and even harder being sick yourself. Be sure to keep yourself hydrated!
So hemerroids- totally usual right? I just went to the bathroom and was straining (thank you, pregnancy constipation) and when I wiped there was blood. I very carefully wiped my back porch again and there was blood, then very carefully did the same with my front and there was no blood, so I'm assuming hemerroids but I'm kind of having a coronary in a room full of first graders and I just need to hear someone say I'm okay.

@jsnakehole yes, unfortunately super normal. I didn't have them until post partum last time, but they were horrible. I made DH go buy me all the cream and wipes and they really do help.
@jsnakehole ah the joys of hemorrhoids! TMI but I’ve had them for 12 years now, and they got real bad when I got pregnant. Squatty potty, colace, and tucks wipes are the greatest. I’ve found the cream makes it worse because it keeps the area too damp for healing, good for short term relief occasionally. For me, when it’s really bad I will hang out with the tucks wipe in my cheeks for 15 minutes 2-3 times a day to calm down the area.

My son got it this week and my ob put me on tamiflu as preventative. So far, I’m all good. As others have said, I’d call your doctor.
My doctor said baths are fine because the water has so much surface area and cools quickly. He wasn't at all concerned, and just said to turn the temp down before I get overheated. It's especially fine in the second and third trimesters when that development has mostly already taken place.

I love baths and take them a few times a week. when pregnant I just lower the temp of the water and don’t stay in as long. It’s helped me relax and helps with my nausea and cramping!
My bras are officially way too small and it's getting a little ridiculous. I've been putting off buying new ones as I don't want to have to size up again if I can avoid it. As long as my cup size doesn't change again, I could at least just get extenders until I move to nursing bras. Is this a crazy idea? I'm almost to 2nd trimester and am not sure how much continued growth to expect.
@doctormom33 I bought 2 Bras at the beginning of my pregnancy last time, and then went shopping again at the end of my second or beginning of my 3rd trimester last time, and I just got nursing bras at that point and used them throughout nursing. Not sure how much that answer helps. I’m not sure I ever really needed extenders my cup size just got bigger, so you may be okay.
@doctormom33 With L I bought new ones at 10w. I never needed larger ones than those. With E I did 1 size(band or cup depending on brand) up from where I was at 12w and never needed anything different. So far with this one, I should have gone up a band size and down at least 1 cup.
All that to say, if you can get by with extenders until 30+w I would do it. Every pregnancy, at least for me, has been a different boob adventure.

@amac12999 and @princesslockness thanks for the replies! I've definitely gone up a cup size, so I think I'm going to buy new ones soon (I'm 12 weeks today). Hopefully can just get by with extenders (as my band size hasn't really changed) until I can move to nursing bras. Bras are just so expensive that I would hate to buy new ones and then need a different size in 2 months or something! Sort of like buying maternity clothes too early. Im someone who buys very few new clothing items a year usually, so this has seemed like a lot to me recently.
