I feel like I'm spending way too much time on my registry! There are so many items and I'm not sure what's really needed vs nice to have.

 I don't think we'll be having a shower this time around, I'm certainly not expecting one.

I'm so excited that I'm finding out what we're having next week!!!!!! Can't even wait.

@helloworld9 I know!  I am so overwhelmed with all the options for things and I feel like reading reviews sounds so boring and exhausting right now.  

@rel_1987 how exciting to have a shower date!  My mom and some friends have been asking me but I can't decide what kind I want (low key couples or a brunch).

@TravelingCouple ahh super exciting!!  I had a few friends register for their second or third babies but never told anyone so they could get the completion discount on a few things they wanted for the new baby.

AFM, I had my anatomy scan this morning and everything was perfect!  It's the first time I have ever felt like we might actually get to bring a baby home in June.  LO cooperated the whole time and was measuring 4 days ahead, so does that mean I change my due date?  I am also starting to experience heartburn at night which is manageable but annoying.

@Aera11 so happy your scan went well. I agree about it being the first time it all seemed like it would work out. Made everything feel like it would be okay.  
We registered for some stuff but I need to go back and look at it again. It was all overwhelming and I don’t even know exactly what we need.

@Aera11 woohoo yay for good scans!! I also have those thoughts, is this really happening?  I keep trying to keep the faith but it's hard having faith in my body!!  I'm also measuring a few days ahead and was wondering the same thing.  I think once we're farther along maybe the dr will change it?? I'd be fine having the LO end of May. Sorry about the indigestion I've been suffering with it since the beginning and now take a prescription for it as nothing over the counter was helping.

@Holls214 how's ur nausea doing? R u still taking meds for it?

@helloworld9 how is ur shower drama going? Have u decided on one? Everything ok with the SIL?

Im so behind on a registry I haven't started one yet maybe by my 3rd trimester.  I'm just paranoid and doubt I'm having a shower so I don't feel too rushed about it.
21wks tomorrow and I go to the OB next week which is good as I'm already anxious to see this Lil baby again.  I'm excited I'm feeling the baby more and more BUT also get worried when hours pass and I don't feel anything.  Having the reassurance always makes me feel better! 

@rel_1987 can't wait for march that much closer to 3rd tri hopefully ppl will give u gift receipts just in case! But I really like the idea of gift cards!

@Aera11 I can't wait for my babyshower its a milestone and means I'm so much closer to bringing my baby boy home. I'm glad your anatomy scan went well!!!
@Hopeful_mom yes March will be a big month for us all!!! I'm going to just make a registry at Wal-Mart, Target, and on Amazon. I figure that should be plenty enough to give people ideas.

This is my last second trimester post. I will be 28 weeks Saturday and I am so exicted. I have my follow up ultrasound on the 29th to check on lo's right kidney so I will make sure I keep you all posted on the results. I also have to take my glucose test Monday

Just got the call today that the first NIPT is low-risk and we are expecting a boy! So, so relieved and so excited! It feels a little more real now that we know what we are having. Also have an OB visit Thursday but probably won’t get an ultrasound.

I havent even even started thinking about a registry yet but I’m only 14 weeks. When did you ladies start?

@Aera11  yay for a good anatomy scan! That is awesome! Im not sure but I thought the earlier the scan, the more accurate the DD so I think you stick with your original date. Of course baby may come any time after 37 weeks and that’s still considered term. 

@rel_1987  Congrats on moving to third tri! Hope you get good results at your repeat ultrasound!

Yay a little boy!!! So exciting for you. We had a big milestone last night... baby was going crazy when I was laying down for bed and my hubby could feel him kick a couple times. Seems early to me but I will take it. It was pretty neat.  
Yay for graduating. Congrats on the 3rd trimester.

@Holls214 my mom was trying to feel the baby the other night but I still think it's not strong enough.  Lucky that's an awesome milestone!! How's the nausea been? These last couple of days I feel a Lil off all day

@Hopeful_mom the nausea has been okay but I am still taking a med or two a day but at least it’s not 4 a day. I was planning on stopping them this week but with the cold I couldn’t deal with possibly throwing up. Sorry you aren’t feeling well... is it the nausea or heartburn? Hopefully you aren’t getting sick.

@TravelingCouple yes!  Such a good idea.  Baby stuff changes and can be pricey so I am sure if we are ever able to have another, I would do it too and not tell anyone.

that's so exciting @Holls214!  DH tried this morning when LO was kicking but I think he/she stopped before he could feel it.  It might be too soon too at 18/19 weeks.

As for registries, I made a few. I would suggest starting them sooner than later (I made mine private at first) but it was an easy way to sort of "favorite" things so I could keep track of what I liked while I was researching. I did quite a bit of research on strollers, car seats etc. The stuff that kinda matters. It is also kind of time consuming trying to figure out which website you have what on and making sure there aren't duplicates or things left off! I also agree with making a registry just for the discount! I did that with pottery barn. I hope I will get some gift cards, but I registered for a lot since I am having three showers, I want people to have a choice. I plan on not opening everything until I actually need it so I can take it back in case my baby hates swings, or a certain bottle (I heard this from experienced moms).
I am also heading over to 3rd trimester next week! I seriously cannot believe it! It feels like yesterday I was so excited to join this group!! Can't wait to see the rest of you ladies over there in the next few months!

@rel_1987 whats wrong with the kidneys? Too much fluid? Mine has that..we think it's a boy since its more common apparently. I am also doing glucose on monday morning! Hope we survive!

24 weeks here and we're both feeling good!
I have been slowly working on my registry for the 2+ years we were TTC; it was just a convenient place to put things as I was reading about them. Before Christmas I went though and organized and "finalized" everything because we got some baby stuff for Christmas. It was a huge relief to have that done.
I'm using BabyList.com and LOVE it! Most of my items are from amazon, Etsy, target or BabiesRUS, but it's just so great to have everything in one place! People can shop around and get the best price if they want, and I can add more obscure things like the woven wrap I really want or particular cloth diapers that aren't available in conventional baby stores.

@ReesaAnne16 my SIL used Babylist last summer for my nephew & she said it was great!  I'm thinking I'll use that too & still register at a bigger retail store so I can get a completion discount for anything we don't get but need/want.  

Do we do HDBD on here?

@meredithj123 such a fun milestone congrats!!  I've been afraid to start too soon since my previous MC I just didn't realize the all day sickness would then keep me from being able to research and do all of that...I'd love to hear the stroller and car seat you've put your stamp of approval on!

@holls214 my throat was hurting all day yesterday so i'm trying some fluids and no talking to see how it goes   The nausea has been annoying me the last few days and the indigestion hasn't helped the situation.  Glad its been getting better on your end.  It has been better then it was for me so when I hurt all day its just annoying!!  I barely slept last night as I didn't feel the baby for hours and i was panicking!  I just hate that I'm such a nervous wreck all the time.  I first felt the baby in the afternoon and I know they say its normal BUT last night I was ready to head to the dr and its only been a week since i've seen the baby UGH!!  I can see this panic is just not letting up.  I still look every time I wipe waiting for the worst...I hate it!

HDBD = hump day bump day... most bmb boards post pictures of thei bump on Wednesday.

To those asking if the due date changes, no they do not change it unless they determine your due date calculations are way off. If you were ivf, iui, fet, etc, your due date is set in stone because they know exactly when fertilization happened. If you were pregnant and you were guessing on when you got pregnant ad the baby is measuring 1 or 2 months ahead, then they change it

@cseley321 that is great - thanks for the clarification...i'd love to see bumps mine still isn't out and proud...hopefully in another couple of weeks...however after I eat is when you can really see a bump   Glad everything is going smoothly!!  Interesting about the due date I'm hoping this lil babe will be ready end of May! 

 I also just learned that apparently IVF babies seem to grow a lil ahead of schedule...who knew!

@Hopeful_mom I hope you aren’t getting the crud I have been sick with. Haven’t felt good in almost a week with sinuses headache and not sleeping. We got the Chico Bravo stroller seat combo. I guess it has good reviews and my sister used the same brand.

@Hopeful_mom you do get 10% off your items through the BabyList site on their site. I set up a separate BRU registry to get the discount, but no one knows about it - actually I set it up as a back up for great aunts, grandmas ect who get confused on how baby list works... the internet is hard

I'm loving my travel system; Its a GB Lyfe https://gbchildusa.com/products/lyfe/
I picked it because its a modular stroller, meaning you can remove the toddler seat and click in just the car seat, making the whole set-up more more light weight. The toddler seat can face forward or parent facing, and the selling point for me was that the toddler seat can convert to an adorable pram style bassinet! PLUS off all the modular strollers I looked at (Graco Modes, Evenflow Pivot, Chicco Urban) this one was the smoothest steering and easiest to click in and out of place. The carseat gets great safety ratings (Britax is the parent company of GB) and the it's super affordable; BRU has had it on sale for months. The down side is limited color options (I got the windowpane, black with white lines version).

Well I threw away all my medical waste today. I had been saving it to take this picture. This isn't all the injections over the years, but most from 2017. My collection isn't at big as many people's on here, but it's crazy to remember day after day of shots all the fear, hope, desperation, grief... all mixed together. 
Is anyone else doing something like this? I feel like it helped me have closure on that chapter of my life. 
The cards are ones I received from friends and family during IF.

For everyone talking about registries: I started mine at like 10 weeks lol so I could do it slowly and have plenty of time. Also, I registered like EVERYWHERE that had free stuff or I wanted a completion discount, but I'm only telling people about Amazon and Target. I would definitely say to start by registering for things you know you want, and some clothes in each size for the first year so that people have something to look at if your registry isn't 'done', and then when you're up to it you can say "today I'm researching strollers!" start now so it's not overwhelming!

For those talking about changing due dates: I'm currently measuring about a week ahead. My ob did move my due date up 2 days from my ivf day when I was measuring ahead at my first appointment, but they don't really move it up after that cause babies have growth spurts and they don't want to move your due date back if you slow down for a bit.

AFM, currently 27+1 so next week I'm on to 3rd tri!!! Sad to leave this growing group but happy to reach the milestone! As I mentioned, the twins are each measuring almost a week ahead which is exciting! They are both currently head down (hopefully that stays!) with baby boy on my left and baby girl on my right. I feel baby boy moving ALL THE TIME. It's crazy. Versus baby girl not nearly as much which made me nervous till I actually did a kick count last night and got 6 movements in 10-15 min. So she is super active as well just not as much as her brother! Also my baby shower is next Sat so I'm super excited to finally 'really' be able to get ready for the babes! 

@ReesaAnne16 I still haven't gotten rid of everything! I did take pics of all my syringes around 20 weeks so I'd be ready to throw them out but I'm super nervous about getting rid of all my leftover IVF drugs...don't want to jinx it so I haven't done it yet.

@Hopeful_mom  for strollers we ended up going with the BOB..its kinda of big and heavy, but we are out doorsy, and there a re a lot of hills where we love so we heard the suspension and jogging stroller were a good pick for us. My sister in laws also have it and swear by it. I got it on sale over thanksgiving. The car seat we chose was peg perego-it has good safety ratings which apparently exceed US standards because it's made in Italy (at least thats what the guy at BuyBuyBaby said!). My husband thought the BOB was made well-he is a stickler for quality over trendiness!
